A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located near the picturesque Plaka neighborhood. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.

Hermes Hotel enjoys a quiet spot in Plaka, only 2 blocks from the Syntagma Metro Station and the shopping street of Ermou. It offers a spacious lounge and a roof garden.

Very nice hotel. very nice view as we are upgraded to a room with balcony.
Terrific staff, clean, convenient for many. Excellent breakfast
Only small on-site restaurant, nothing special for lunch or dinner. If you have any mobility issues, getting around from there is not easy - the sidewalks have small mosaic bricks. Cabs are relatively inexpensive so that part was ok, but it's a walk to get to restaurants. Again, for most this is probably not a problem. Wifi went out every few minutes. Was told this had never happened to anyone else. I've used WIFi all over the world without this problem.
The hotel is located in the perfect spot. The airport bus stops just 2 minutes walk away. The main hop on hop off station is 5 minutes walk. Parliment 2 minutes. Everything in town is within walking distance. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Wifi worked very well. No problem making Skype calls. Could not have been happier with our choice.
This hotel was excellent, positioned on Syntagma Square, good facilities, free wi-fi and great breakfast included. Excellent value for money. Recommended without hesitation.
Good location close to a main subway station (Syntagma)
Our sleep was often disturb by noise from the main boulevard in front of the hotel , the Windows are not enough noise proof
Amalia has been around for a long time. They know what they are doing. Beautifully renovated, comfortable, solid quality hotel. Perfect for single traveler. Great breakfast buffet. Go to the rooftop and enjoy an amazing view of Athens.
Great location in a nice bit of Athens and within easy reach of most of the sites and touristy bits including the Plaka. Bed was huge and lovely bathroom. Good variety for breakfast.
A bit noisy on the street side - would recommend earplugs.
the friendly and competent staff
the Harley Davidsons passing by my window until 5 a.m.
I particularly liked the fact that the hotel is located next to Syntagma Square and is close to most tourist must-sees. For example, the Acropolis and the Plaka district (old quarter) are in easy walking distance. Do make time to see the Changing of the Guard across the road from the hotel - highly entertaining! The staff was very friendly and were happy to look after my luggage a week after my stay, when I had a couple of hours in Athens again on my way home. My room was big, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good. I highly recommend.
very nice stay!
No swimming pool No GYM
Location is perfect , cleanness is very good , the breakfast is not premium but enjoyable , although we used a taxi for transport the x95 bus from/to the airport stops 50m from the hotel , the reception were very polite and swift and many touristic sites are within reach .
The appearence of the room was worn out and the view was awful .
the location is perfect for Athens. clean and comfort hotel
They speak english, can walk to acropolis
location, close to metro, a block from where airport bus stops, close to big tourist area and the Acropolis
wifi was a little weak in the room
Greece history. Culture. Food and eating joints was great experience. All in all the stay was good.Acropolis was the hallmark
Nothing in particular. Lack of English.
Breakfast was exceptional
Would have been nice to have a restaurant and swimming pool
The location is fabulous, 8 minute walk from Symtaga Square which is where we got off the Metro from the airport. It is approx. a 20 minute walk to the Acropolis. Right near the Plaka district. The breakfasts were great;good variety. We had a small communication issue with a pre-authorization of my credit card for holding our rooms but the staff quickly corrected the problem and looked after us. It is so nice to see a problem looked after so quickly and efficiently.
The location & friendlyness of the staff
Location, staff, breakfast
Extremely small shower (room 201)
Breakfast, location and Comfort of the room
Proximity to everything - Plaka, central shopping area, beautiful parks, X95 bus from airport just around the corner and the best buffet breakfast
Having to leave
I really appreciate their reception ! Those people are so nice . My estimated check-in time is between14:00-15:00, but they let us check at 11:00am! The breakfast there are excellent ! Very clean in everywhere! I really enjoyed my stay here ! Thank you so much.
Had a wonderful 3 days here. Best hotel we have experienced since we started our trip to Europe about 3 months ago!!! Breakfast is just to die for + so well run and managed - great thanks to all the staff involved.
First stayed here last year, and since our cruise started from Athens, decided to revisit it. It didn't disappoint
I know it's impossible, given the age of the hotel's construction, but, oh ! a swimming pool would have been nice with temperatures in the high 30s !
