Amazon Hotel

Nice top floor room with an enormous terrace. Very good location in the Plaka area, walking distance to sights, shops and restaurants.

It was a very cold weekend and the room was rahter drafty. The heating was efficient but very noisy and temperature could not be adjusted. The breakfast is very simple to a Nordic taste.

Close to all amenities, places of attractions are within walking distance.

The staff needs to be a little more resourceful, helpful and welcoming especially if tourism is there main source of income in Athens. The lift was too small and breakfast was very basic.

We stayed for 4 days at the amazon and found it most satisfactory for what we wanted.A very good position , very clean and a comfortable room, breakfast was pleasant and adequate.

The accomodations were comfortable, safe, and clean. The staff was helpful. The location was right in the heart of the Plaka (Acropolis) area allowing us to walk to most of the places we wanted to see.

I would have liked to control the A/C on my own rather than having it on a remote control. It was difficult to get the temperature to my liking and I didn't want to call the front desk at 3-4 am in the morning.

Staff were very helpful, after checking in late they helped us organise our dinner to be delivered. easy walking distance to sites and tourist shops. Room was clean and serviced daily.

Small and simple hotel, although quite confortable and great location, very close to Syntagma square (and metro station conecting directly to the airport). Staff at the breakfast realy friendly

Excelent location for a short stay in Athenes close to site seeing attractions.

The desk and dining staff and housekeepers were charming, helpful, and highly professional. The hotel was spotless and conveniently located. Our budget-priced room had a full view of the Parthenon! Breakfast offerings were wholesome, if not lavish.

The smallest of quibbles: it's hard to tell when an elevator reaches the floor on which you're waiting because there's no signal. An indicator chime would be helpful.

The Amazon Hotel is very well situated as it is a short walk from Syntagma Square from which you can take either the express bus or the metro to the airport. It is close to all the major attractions and is in a safe neighbourhood if you are travelling alone.

The bathroom was tiny, but functional. The staff were efficient but could have been a bit more forthcoming, and friendly. One of the staff when I arrived smiled but all the others didn't. Probably the language barrier doesn't help.

Room was clean.

By American standards the room was small. There were three people in it but the beds were well spaced.

I have stayed at this Hotel previously, and have again enjoyed the close proximity to shopping, archeological sites, cafes and restaurants.Service is usually of a very hugh standard and breakfast is served continental and hot, a good variety.A comfortable room, and all facilities required.

This room previously had had a smoker use it and it was therefore quite smelly. The shower recess is small.
