The complex includes a large pool with jacuzzi and a poolside cocktail bar. Amazones Village Suites are tastefully furnished, most with sea views. They come with air conditioning, kitchenette and satellite TV. Some suites also offer a jacuzzi bathtub. Along with the main swimming pool, Amazones Village has a children’s pool and a spacious wooden deck with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. A fitness room is also available. Buffet breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room, while the restaurant prepares Greek and international dishes. Amazones also has a lounge bar offering refreshing beverages and the local raki. Amazones Village Suites is within 16 miles of the Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport and 17 miles of Knossos Minoan Palace. It offers free Wi-Fi in its public areas and free on-site parking. Great value and perfect for anyone who just wants to relax. On arrival we were upgraded to a sea view suite which really made the holiday, the vista across the island and the sea were incredible, also the room was higher up the hill which made it nice and quiet. The pool area again had great views, if in need of a little maintenence work (some sun loungers were broken and other minor works needed). All the staff were friendly and attentive and a lot of our time was spent lounging around enjoying the local beer and 'Gyros' pitta dish. Although perfectly nice the hotel could do with a little spruce up to make it great, rooms are basic but have everything you will need. Breakfast was a little repetitive and basic and the bar menu was hit and miss, local dishes and pizzas were nice but salads and sandwiches were basic and more expensive. Lovely location for views and relaxing but quite far up some steep hills and too far to walk to the beach realistically.

To be perfectly honest I enjoyed everything about my stay in Amazones Village Suites.1 because you are made feel very welcome by all the staff and particularly by the wonderful owner Katerina, 2 Fine rooms with everything you could ask, 3 The location though a little steep up over Piscopiano has panoramic views and is near both Old Hersonnisos and Koutoulafari is perfect and nice and quiet. 4 It has a fine pool and bar also .5 To sum up the 5 of us who stayed for just 1 week will definitely try and book there again on our next visit to Crete

This was our second visit and standards were the same as 4 years ago. Very good service and value for money. Many facilities only usually found in larger hotels. A good base for touring eastern Crete. Lovely sea views and a short drive from the beach.

The rooms were well designed and spacious. We also got a complimentary bottle of wine. We did have a tv in the room but it probably should have had more channels to choose from.
