A magnificent location. Helpful staff, but as mentioned in the minus page, lacking that little generosity of spirit we found elsewhere in Greece. I'd probably stay there again for a couple of nights - if my ankle was better
Fortunately we didn't face the full length of stairs to our unit. I didn't notice any mention of them when booking but maybe I overlooked this detail. This could make a difference to elderly or not very fit. Especially as you have to handle your own luggage or they get a man to come and help for which you pay. While maybe that's fair enough, I had a sprained ankle and my friend a bad knee - a pair of crocks - but we are normally fit elderly. I just felt there was that little bit of generosity which we found everywhere else, to be lacking here. .
Uniqueness, location with view.
Need of renovation. Wifi did not work in room.
Great location to go the main spots. Ms.Inna from this hotel provided the good information for reference. She was quite nice and had patience to answer the questions we raised. Besides, Inna was considerate to provide the visit suggestion according to her observation to our needs. The most important thing is free Wi-Fi service that is great. And you can easily and quickly access the messages in public area also in the room.
Τοποθεσία μπροστά στην καλντέρα!! Κουκλίστικο!! Φοβερή θέα!!
I loved the staff, they are amazing and very helpful. The location is priceless. You will have a private view of the ocean, while all the other tourists have to stand in the street to see the same view that you have in your balcony.
The sheets and pillows were not perfectly clean, that was a little turn off, but with that location and view I didn't really care.
We were there for one night only. And instead of having to go with the crowd to watch the sunset we relaxed in our own terrace and watched it having a drink. We didnt use the kitchen. The cave is very beautiful, and it is a proper old cave!!! It is very clean. Wifi works well outside. Air conditioner needs an update. Inna was a great host, she organized our transfers to and from the port and recommended us where to go. In Santorini everything is very expensive, so ghe price that we paid to have that view, compared to other places was ok. Will deffinitly go again, Santorini is magic!!!
The owner there is amazing really and extremely helpful.. the location is just perfect and veryyy close to the town with an amazing view on caldera directly.. its the only colored hotel and as i knew they pay alot of taxes to change from white color
I didnt like my room i was hoping to get one of the other rooms that are above our room because the terrace is directly infront of the rooms while my room was in the reception area.. but still its not bad at all
Location was outstanding with great view. Ms Ina at the reception desk was extremely helpful, giving us suggestions and proposals for quality restaurants and beaches. Parking area very close to both entrances of the hotel
In case of walking problems please avoid Caldera at all, because of stairs. I would suggest to use the entrance next to reception instead of the one in the Metropolitan Church, as the way from parking area may be further but for sure there will be less stairs, especially when you carry luggages.
Away from traffic and noise. Great position on the caldera with magic views. Friendly and helpful staff. Good outdoor patio and table set for relaxing outside
Not much to dislike.
I loved the location and the views ... Simply stunning. The staff was very nice...
We showed up early in the am and there was no one there till 8:30 am... They have day hours but no one on at night ... Probably could use an upgrade in terms of beds, linens etc...
like the location、 very easy to catch the local buses、the manager is a beautiful elegant lady, and very helpful.
Location, staff and view!! Everything was perfect and the lady was very helpful!
From the moment we were picked up from the Ferry the Couple that run this hotel give you the 5 Star treatment they go out of there way to make your holiday a pleasure nothing is to much trouble and the view one of the best in Thira thanks again for giving us some lovely Memmories
very poor braikfast, no variety, and so expencive
Sitting at the small 'garden' having breakfast with a sea view. The sunset in front of the room. the staff is helpful and nice.
Ants went on our bed.
Probably best view in Fira while not as expensive as the rest. Very suitably located. Easy access to Fira center. Very kind receptionist/owner who was always very kind and helpful and made our stay much easier; upon arrival she gave us a large map and gave us her suggestions and opinions, etc.
The hospitality was incredible. Ina (our host) made all the arrangements we needed, and went out of her way to make sure out time was spent well on this beautiful island. Our private terrace overlooked the Santorini sunset, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the island.
- Location: Fantastic view. - It is quiet despite being in a very touristic area
- The breakfast is outrageous for the price (even at 50 euros/night you could expect better). It is of really bad quality : small cup of discount tea bag, horrible artificial juice, 4 pieces of plain square bread (no fresh bread), no fruits... It is a pity since a regular breakfast could be so wonderful with this view. - A little bit of shade for the afternoon will be welcome (the sun umbrella cannot resist even with a little bit of wind always present in the cliff of the caldera)
First of all I have enjoyed my stay at the Antithesis hotel, and really thankful for Inna to help to arrange for transportation and a guy to help me carrying my suitcases up the steps as early as before 5am. This is a very important for me as I seriously will not know what to do if this arrangement has not been in place. I also would like to mention that I was given a junior suite rather than a normal room that I have booked without additional cost which allow me to have a better view. Thanks Inna again for this. Overall I have really enjoy my stay at Antithesis hotel, a small but cosy place with friendly staff. :)
I'm not sure if there is anything can be done, as I found it pretty hard to find the hotel upon arrival. The address is pretty general hence it makes it hard even when trying to check with local people. To go to the hotel we have to go through a staircase next to a restaurant and after a short walk, then only we can see a small staircase leading to the hotel. I'm not sure if there is anyway for the hotel to improve on given a better direction for first timer to the hotel as I think it will really help. This is not able dislike, is just my personal advice, if you plan to stay at any of this cliff hotel, don't bring a big check-in suitcase with you else you will have a hard time carrying it up and down the steep and winding stairs.
Inna was very helpful and hotel very clean. Charming location with breathtaking views. Very traditional Greek cave style interior. A great experience overall with central access to all Fira has to offer.
Shower drainage issue. Bathroom becomes a pool. Beds quite uncomfortable and aircon/automatic room freshener is not a great combination if you suffer from asthma. Accessibility is also difficult if travelling with heavy luggage.
The staff were friendly, though there was only one person ever on (the same person) The breakfast was nicely delivered The view was amazing The wifi worked Good for a cheap stay.
We were forced to move rooms half way through our stay because they has messed up our booking. You had to turn on the hot water boiler on in your room 15 minutes prior to showering and then switch it off after (purely to save them money) very inconvenient. The decor seemed dated and the sheets did not feel clean. There was no door in between the bathroom and the bedroom. The hotel is situated on a steep cliff with a lot of stairs, no one offered to help carry our bags at any point and when we asked we were told they were only small so we should be fine. We were charged for our transfer to and from the port/airport. The lock on the door was temperamental and we struggled to open it every time. It just felt like they have spent zero money maintaining this hotel and it didn't seem to bother them.
Location, cleanness, view, very welcoming attentive and helpfull staff !
The hotel manager, Inna, has been very helpful, she helped me explore Santorini like a local. Location in Thira is right in the middle of the Caldera stretch so you can walk both directions. Near the bus station & the museum.
Downside for this hotel, staff services are only available couple of hours in AM and PM. So if you need services beyond designated windows, nobody's onsite to address your needs.
Great view of the calderas of fira.
