Location was outstanding with great view. Ms Ina at the reception desk was extremely helpful, giving us suggestions and proposals for quality restaurants and beaches. Parking area very close to both entrances of the hotel
In case of walking problems please avoid Caldera at all, because of stairs. I would suggest to use the entrance next to reception instead of the one in the Metropolitan Church, as the way from parking area may be further but for sure there will be less stairs, especially when you carry luggages.
Away from traffic and noise. Great position on the caldera with magic views. Friendly and helpful staff. Good outdoor patio and table set for relaxing outside
Not much to dislike.
I loved the location and the views ... Simply stunning. The staff was very nice...
We showed up early in the am and there was no one there till 8:30 am... They have day hours but no one on at night ... Probably could use an upgrade in terms of beds, linens etc...
like the location、 very easy to catch the local buses、the manager is a beautiful elegant lady, and very helpful.
Location, staff and view!! Everything was perfect and the lady was very helpful!
From the moment we were picked up from the Ferry the Couple that run this hotel give you the 5 Star treatment they go out of there way to make your holiday a pleasure nothing is to much trouble and the view one of the best in Thira thanks again for giving us some lovely Memmories
very poor braikfast, no variety, and so expencive
Sitting at the small 'garden' having breakfast with a sea view. The sunset in front of the room. the staff is helpful and nice.
Ants went on our bed.
Probably best view in Fira while not as expensive as the rest. Very suitably located. Easy access to Fira center. Very kind receptionist/owner who was always very kind and helpful and made our stay much easier; upon arrival she gave us a large map and gave us her suggestions and opinions, etc.
The hospitality was incredible. Ina (our host) made all the arrangements we needed, and went out of her way to make sure out time was spent well on this beautiful island. Our private terrace overlooked the Santorini sunset, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the island.
- Location: Fantastic view. - It is quiet despite being in a very touristic area
- The breakfast is outrageous for the price (even at 50 euros/night you could expect better). It is of really bad quality : small cup of discount tea bag, horrible artificial juice, 4 pieces of plain square bread (no fresh bread), no fruits... It is a pity since a regular breakfast could be so wonderful with this view. - A little bit of shade for the afternoon will be welcome (the sun umbrella cannot resist even with a little bit of wind always present in the cliff of the caldera)
First of all I have enjoyed my stay at the Antithesis hotel, and really thankful for Inna to help to arrange for transportation and a guy to help me carrying my suitcases up the steps as early as before 5am. This is a very important for me as I seriously will not know what to do if this arrangement has not been in place. I also would like to mention that I was given a junior suite rather than a normal room that I have booked without additional cost which allow me to have a better view. Thanks Inna again for this. Overall I have really enjoy my stay at Antithesis hotel, a small but cosy place with friendly staff. :)
I'm not sure if there is anything can be done, as I found it pretty hard to find the hotel upon arrival. The address is pretty general hence it makes it hard even when trying to check with local people. To go to the hotel we have to go through a staircase next to a restaurant and after a short walk, then only we can see a small staircase leading to the hotel. I'm not sure if there is anyway for the hotel to improve on given a better direction for first timer to the hotel as I think it will really help. This is not able dislike, is just my personal advice, if you plan to stay at any of this cliff hotel, don't bring a big check-in suitcase with you else you will have a hard time carrying it up and down the steep and winding stairs.
Inna was very helpful and hotel very clean. Charming location with breathtaking views. Very traditional Greek cave style interior. A great experience overall with central access to all Fira has to offer.
Shower drainage issue. Bathroom becomes a pool. Beds quite uncomfortable and aircon/automatic room freshener is not a great combination if you suffer from asthma. Accessibility is also difficult if travelling with heavy luggage.
The staff were friendly, though there was only one person ever on (the same person) The breakfast was nicely delivered The view was amazing The wifi worked Good for a cheap stay.
We were forced to move rooms half way through our stay because they has messed up our booking. You had to turn on the hot water boiler on in your room 15 minutes prior to showering and then switch it off after (purely to save them money) very inconvenient. The decor seemed dated and the sheets did not feel clean. There was no door in between the bathroom and the bedroom. The hotel is situated on a steep cliff with a lot of stairs, no one offered to help carry our bags at any point and when we asked we were told they were only small so we should be fine. We were charged for our transfer to and from the port/airport. The lock on the door was temperamental and we struggled to open it every time. It just felt like they have spent zero money maintaining this hotel and it didn't seem to bother them.
Location, cleanness, view, very welcoming attentive and helpfull staff !
The hotel manager, Inna, has been very helpful, she helped me explore Santorini like a local. Location in Thira is right in the middle of the Caldera stretch so you can walk both directions. Near the bus station & the museum.
Downside for this hotel, staff services are only available couple of hours in AM and PM. So if you need services beyond designated windows, nobody's onsite to address your needs.
Great view of the calderas of fira.
Great view, very friendly owners, willing to help with everything and give useful suggestions about the island. They make you feel very welcome.
The price is justified only by the view. Is should be renovated with more attention to the quality of amenities.
The view was so incredible, we saw a couple getting their wedding photos next to our balcony. You could touch a chapel from the balcony and see the volcano and the caldera sunset perfectly. The staff, especially the beautiful Ina (who looks like Iggy Azalea) was so gracious & helpful with travel tips.
The hotel should offer a breakfast upgrade for a fee. Their breakfast was terrible. Ham and cheese on white bread, discount pre packaged 'little Debbie' cakes and yogurt cups. Not worth the calories. We bought croissants and frappes from the bakery up the road and ate them on our balcony.
Excellent location. Staff (Inna, the hotel manager). Inna informed us of local services, she was very friendly and helpful. Polite and very pleasant. Cleanliness. Scenery. Local cuisine. The hotel was close by shops and places of interest.
The beautiful scenery right in front of your hotel porch. It is really in the middle of cliff, you can see and hear the ocean. The best place to be romantic and to feel the Aegean ocean. You can hear the cowbell from the donkey with tourists anytime. Best place for picture taking too.
If you have a big luggage, you need a porter. You can use only public parking 10 minutes and more away. You have to climb down to reach the hotel in the middle of cliff. WIFI is not working at all in the room. The cave I stayed was cozy but a bit small.
The location was perfect, right below the town with an awesome view of the caldera. Very friendly and helpful owners.
At night there was a roach in the shower and the toilet got easily stopped up.
too many people in the dorf
A great view in the balcony, they serve breakfast to our balcony. The cave house is a traditional and simple one, not so big or fancy. Facilities are useful. The atmosphere was so great at night with candles!
The carpet in the room was a little bit old and easily to stumble.
excellent views and terrace was lovely, helpful staff, clean
no warning about the steep steps which makes for a difficult climb with suitcases, and near-impossible for travellers with joint problems
