Apanemo  

The hospitality offered by the Greek owners is second to none. The hotel has 25 rooms and is in a wonderful location and has a view that is second to none. The rooms are great, comfortable and quiet, ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper but it is not a real problem as traffic is light at night. All rooms have a great view. The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty to choose from, the tomato balls and doughnuts are especially delicious. The housekeeping staff clean each day and we always found our room spotless. This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in, I cannot praise it enough. If you want to get out and about you will probably need to hire a car or like us go for a quad bike, Spiros will be happy to arrange the hire and delivery to the hotel. A quad bike gives you access to places that other vehicles may not be able to reach.

The staffs are extremely friendly and they have arranged a Aegean Sea view for us of our four years wedding anniversary. Room are clean, view are breath-taking, everything just perfect!

The orange juice at breakfast was instant, maintenance of the room could have been better.

Our highlights of this hotel would be: The friendliness of the owner (Spyros), his family and staff; the location on the edge of the caldera overlooking the centre of the volcano and the views across the volcano to Phira and Oia. There is a lovely pool here which is great for cooling down from the Greek sun. Rooms too were of good quality while retaining a very traditional feel. We were visiting Santorini as part of a tour around the greek islands - Santorini itself was our favourite island that we stayed at. Favourite places to visit - The village of Pyrgos (ancient castle), the long beach between Parissa and Kamari (for relaxing days of sun-lounging and drinks brought to your sunbed), the town of Phira (shopping and sightseeing) and Oia (picturesque sights).

The hotel lies a short (approx. 15 to 20 minutes) but very steep walk from the traditional greek village of Akrotiri. I would say a rental car is essential to see the best of Santorini. We hadn't pre-booked one but as an example of the service that Spyros provided - I requested a rental car at breakfast on our first morning in the hotel and promptly was ready to go within 20 minutes. Next time - I would book in advance however. Beaches aren't within walking distance of the hotel but, personally, I would opt for the view from Apanemo and driving to a beach over the convenience of having a beach nearby every time - most likely you will want to try a variety of the beaches anyway. The best nightlife on the island is away from Akrotiri in Phira or Parissa which are both a bit of a drive from the hotel (20 to 30 minutes).

Nice holiday with friendly own.Only stayed the one night but the views frm the rooms and pool are amazing. The rates are pretty good for SAntorini.

Everything in Apanemo is exeptional...the design, the location, the village, the room, the pool, Spiro (the manager), the views, the breakfast, the feeling... Even Spiro's dog!!

Just toured Santorini,took in the amazing views from hotel and the sunsets.

Apanemo is situated in a quite place with a stunning view of the Santorini Island. Its really good for a family holiday with apartments fit for all ages.

The drawback is you have to drive to the main city of Thira and Oia to visit places. Though its just 15 mins drive to Thira and about 40 mins to Oia.

Frankly speaking, facilities and room amenities are not fantastic than expectations for holiday with my husband. But,If you stay at Apanemo, You can feel free and comfortable due to very very kind staff and beautiful caldera view that I had never seen before !! If you are planning quiet and relax for family vacation, I strongly recommend Apanemo. But you are young couple or honeymooners, I dont recommend because Apanemo is not dream hotel practically. However, I had a great time with my husband due to Apanemo :) Overall, Staying at Apanemo was truly worthy for value and taking some rest

There are no drawbacks so much in Apanemo. 1st, Room amenities are not perfect if you compared to hotel chain like mercure and novotel someting like that. It looks like comfortable nice and frendly small hotel. Bed can be a little hard if you dream another hotel bed. and Location can be some weak point if travelers want to access to Oia and Fira easily. but If you stay in Santorini, you need to rent a car to go anywhere like red beach and OIA. So, Location is rather strong if you would like to be not in crowded spot.

L'hotel, situato in ottima posizione panoramica, si propone come un complesso di alloggi dall'architettura piacevole e caratteristica. Solarium e piscina a sfioro godono di una collocazione privilegiata, regalando una vista indimenticabile sulla caldera e il mare sottostante. Buona e abbondante la colazione, servita in sala con terrazzo panoramico. Staff accogliente e disponibile, di gradevole simpatia. Struttura ottima per il relax e come punto di partenza per le escursioni.

L'hotel è carino, ben tenuto e sia Spiros (il gestore) che tutto lo staff, in testa Elefteria, sono gentili e disponibili. Si trova in una posizione defilata rispetto alla "vita" di Santorini, ma è decisamente comodo per raggiungere tutto in meno di 20 minuti ed è vicino a tutti I luoghi di interesse. Sicuramente consigliabile e ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Difficile trovare qualunque pecca a questo magnifico posto
