The staff were very helpful and friendly and the 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and accomodated 6 of us fine. We stayed here twice this summer (6 nights total) and have nothing negative to say. The location is quiet with little to no street noise and is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and markets. It was perfect for my family. The style of this hotel is typical of a Greek hotel, not luxurious, but has what you need. We have stayed at Stafanakis Hotel as well in past summers and feel that this is a much better value. I would recommend this hotel for persons who want to stay near to the airport and not pay too much. Even with our taxi to and from the airport (approx. 25 Euros each way and 20-25 minutes) this was a good deal.

Warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere The hotel room in which we stayed was in need of a serious makeover, with many unfinished or unsatisfactory details. However, if these issues were addressed then I would stay again

The hotel staff was helpful. The hotel appearance is unattractive, rooms' condition is below average, poor cleanliness, old and broken furniture, no international tv programms, weak security - hotel is open for free entrance for anyone around the clock. There are problems with electricity sockets availability. There is plenty of mosquitos, but there were no mosquito screens or any other protection means.

We were moved to a larger room,The staff were friendly. The bar area was clean and nice leather sofa, but no one was there so we tended not to stay around. Im afraid the hotel is very dated.the first room we went to even though clean it was dark worn out stale smell and old small shower, also wires hanging loose, luckily we were moved, otherwise I would have gone to anouther hotel. The swimming pool area old worn sun beds and chairs the pool needed cleaning, but we had thunderstorms so it did not help.

The amount of bugs. One night we got attacked bybugs and had a rash on our faces, asked the cleaner to change our sheets for us. This wasnt done. Location is horrible 40mins out of athens. Room was nice but so far out, 15 min walk to a bus stop.

The staff was very polite and helpful. Good air conditioners, and the rooms are big enough for 6 people. Also the location is a quite, safe neighborhood with 24 hour restaurants within walking distance, that compensates for the lack of room service in the hotel. It is a good budget hotel if you want to stay at a fairly nice location close to the beach. We were mislead. There is no way this is a 4 stars hotel. Might have been, but back in the 50'S. Hotel is old, very old, and needs some serious recovering work. No room service after 23:00 ( so, no 4 stars) and the elevators was one of the oldest models I have ever seen. Some doors were falling apart, the curtains were just a piece of cloth, and the bathroom was full of bugs. Did not dare to try the restaurant.

Unfortunately nothing (except quiet area). There is only one person at the reception desk. The air conditioner couldn't provide a comfortable temperature in the room even after working throughout the night. Worst blankets I have ever seen in Europe an North America. We couldn't sleep. There is no privacy. We got this hotel scored 7.3 in your website , and booked it as we needed to stay one night close to the airport before flying out the day after. By the way, since then, they lowered their price from 55 to 40 euros. They don't deserve even this price.

Very big room, good beds, everything is clean and everything works. Good vibe. Very friendly and helpfull staff, lots of information about surrroundings available (folders). The location. Varkiza is a very boring village where most part of the beach is owned by some company which means you have to pay to go to the beach. Also, the beach in fenced off which just doesn't make it look very nice. The hotel is perfect, but don't expect Varkiza to be a nice holiday destination. The hotel is conveniently located at a 20 minutes drive from the airport though.

A kitchen to cook and a fridge was avaliable in the room. If you have a car the situation isnt that bad. The staff is friendly. The toilets never worked properly they had to come every morning to fix it.

The hotel and staff is very relaxed an no-nonsense. Very quiet street with parking facilities. It was the second time I stayed there and will come back there whenever I am in Athens. We were even upgraded to a suite at the same price of a double room.

Well, this hotel is indeed not that bad as I read one review when I decided to make a reservation. No, it's not a 4 star, maybe once but not these days or for several years. But the room is still working, and even have a flat screen tv set, what a surprise. And the free wi-fi worked fine during my stay. The price is good, 60euro/night for 4 adults, and we offered a bigger apartment which can easily sleep 6 or even 8 person. The kitchen equipment are barely stock, not much but ok for preparing a light meal. And you can ask for more equipment from the front desk if you need more according to the hotel information. And we borrowed a scissors for dealing with the fresh fish we bought from the local fish market (one of many fishing boats in fact, at the port, very interesting experience, just 3mins' walk from the beach). And the hotel is not far from the beach, though not along the beach. 5Min's on feet. But if you want to go to the public beach which is free, there're 10 more mins at least on your feet. Well, the organized beach is free of charge during the winter season, maybe from October? Not sure, but we're there in October, and it's free. The doors in the apartment could really use a renovation. I would not be surprised if someone would be seriously attacked by mosquitoes in summer, as there's no closing door for one of the bedroom that open to the balcony. We found that out one night when our neighbor was out on their balcony partying until mid-night.

The room is huge and has got everything for a long stay, very familiar... It s a little far from the bus stop and the beach, the lift is a little scary, as all the lights in the evening are turned off, except the reception. The plates and glasses are old and doesn t have bottle of water or soft drinks in the room, as well any snacks...

Very helpful staff. Spoke good English and went out of their way to explain public transport systems, arrange taxis etc. Not luxurious but all there...local restuarant Noxomos (Sp?) bad...dreadful food. Family bed room fine with table for eating, microwave, kettle, sink etc. Beach seems more than 200m from hotel...it's up a hill. Not sure air conditioning worked...and no sockets for moving fan into bedroom.

Big apartment, clean and tidy. Quite expensive, supposed to have 4 stars; however I would have rated it 2 to maximum 3 stars. I wonder whether they gave the stars to the hotel themselves? The hotel was old, worn out, reception untidy... Though we had to leave in the morning 9.15 for the airport, they insisted that they would have breakfast ready for us at 9 P.M. when talking to them at night (not possible before 9 pm.) There were no people in the kitchen when we came for breakfast- we had to search for some wanting to do it. When it finally came, it was very disappointing. The area is definitely not an area that could be recommanded!

Had been there 4 years ago, knew what to expect. Walking distance to organized beach. Need clean up and fresh coat of paint. Garden should be kept groomed. The place has potential, but does not seem that the owners bother.

The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Very quiet area. The tv was at an awkward position almost right above the beds which made it quite difficult to watch it. A little difficult to find without a navigator. Even with the navigator we weren't sure we were at the right place until we saw the small sign of Apollonia. Everything else was exactly as expected and even better for the price and the area.

The Apollonia Hotel Apartments were in a fab location - just a ten minute walk to the beach, 15 minute drive to the thriving neighbouring spots of Vougliameni and Glyfada. The rooms were kept clean, the pool downstairs was never too busy and you were pretty much left alone during your stay. We would stay again - great prices. You get what you pay for and slightly more with the fab location. The only downside to the apartments is that the towel changing / bed making service seemed a bit hit and miss (seemed to be every other day / sometimes one in three days). However, we did not complain and if we needed new towels, we simply requested from the cleaners as and when we saw them on our way out. The kitchenette was great BUT there were no pots for boiling food - bring your own.

We had a small appartment, with kitchen two rooms a living roof and a bathroom, very large, a lot of place and confortable. The style is from the 60' you have the feeling that James bond would appear suddenly !!! Nice swimming pool in a shadowed area. Perfect place to stay with family for a sea holidays, not so far from Athens and Sounio. And Varkiza has lovely beaches
