Apollonia Hotel Apartments  

The location is city suburb, but of high quality. Houses and villas are hidden in a green zone park. There is good infrastructure with shops, markets, bars and restaurants, mainly at the seaside some 7-8 hundred meters away. Some of the best beaches and marinas near-by. Sounion, Vravrona and some Byzantine monasteries are in the same direction. You feel like being at home as the hotel is a sort of a residence-house with flats and studios with enough space and good equipment. ...it is modern, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful (special thanks to the girl from the desk, who lives in the Agios Dimitrios region and was extremely kind and useful for us). The quality/price ratio is great. Free parking, free internet access.

. . You need to drive for many minutes to get to the city center and the historical sites of Athens. The traffic is heavy but, fortunately, the access is easy through at least two city highways.

An eco-friendly hotel with excellent service.

Very big room, good beds, everything is clean and everything works. Good vibe. Very friendly and helpfull staff, lots of information about surrroundings available (folders).

The location. Varkiza is a very boring village where most part of the beach is owned by some company which means you have to pay to go to the beach. Also, the beach in fenced off which just doesn't make it look very nice. The hotel is perfect, but don't expect Varkiza to be a nice holiday destination. The hotel is conveniently located at a 20 minutes drive from the airport though.

The hotel and staff is very relaxed an no-nonsense. Very quiet street with parking facilities. It was the second time I stayed there and will come back there whenever I am in Athens. We were even upgraded to a suite at the same price of a double room.

Very helpful staff. Spoke good English and went out of their way to explain public transport systems, arrange taxis etc. Not luxurious but all there...local restuarant Noxomos (Sp?) bad...dreadful food. Family bed room fine with table for eating, microwave, kettle, sink etc.

Beach seems more than 200m from hotel...it's up a hill. Not sure air conditioning worked...and no sockets for moving fan into bedroom.

Big apartment, clean and tidy.

Quite expensive, supposed to have 4 stars; however I would have rated it 2 to maximum 3 stars. I wonder whether they gave the stars to the hotel themselves?The hotel was old, worn out, reception untidy... Though we had to leave in the morning 9.15 for the airport, they insisted that they would have breakfast ready for us at 9 P.M. when talking to them at night (not possible before 9 pm.) There were no people in the kitchen when we came for breakfast- we had to search for some wanting to do it. When it finally came, it was very disappointing. The area is definitely not an area that could be recommanded!

Closness to the beach without beach front pricing.

They should open the front desk earlier in the morning.

The Apollonia Hotel Apartments were in a fab location - just a ten minute walk to the beach, 15 minute drive to the thriving neighbouring spots of Vougliameni and Glyfada. The rooms were kept clean, the pool downstairs was never too busy and you were pretty much left alone during your stay. We would stay again - great prices. You get what you pay for and slightly more with the fab location.

The only downside to the apartments is that the towel changing / bed making service seemed a bit hit and miss (seemed to be every other day / sometimes one in three days). However, we did not complain and if we needed new towels, we simply requested from the cleaners as and when we saw them on our way out. The kitchenette was great BUT there were no pots for boiling food - bring your own.

Warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere

The hotel room in which we stayed was in need of a serious makeover, with many unfinished or unsatisfactory details. However, if these issues were addressed then I would stay again

staff friendly plenty room for our family old but ok kids were happy to use the pool which was clean close to very good beaches very happy with our choice

Περιοχή πολύ καλή και ύσηχη, το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό, τα έπιπλα αν και ήταν σε πολύ καλή κατάσταση ήταν λίγο παλιά πράγμα που δε μας χάλασε όμως, η ποιότητα του WIFI άριστη.Value for money επιλογή!

Очень хороший вариант для группы - цена на человека получается около 12 -15 евро в 6-местном номере. Номера большие, просторные. Тихое место. До Афин 50 минут на автобусе (1,40 евро поездка). Меняют полотенца каждый день, постели через 2 дня. Персонал всегда готов помочь. Посуда в наличии, плита, чайник, духовка все работает. В округе мы видели только этот отель с бассейном. Большие террасы.

Мало света в номерах да и вобще с электрикой не все понятно. Таки да - комары есть.
