Very good value for money - rooms are very spacious. Location is at the top of a hill but my 75 yr old mum managed it okay. Nice pool and convenient for shops, restaurants and beach (although a short walk away - 10 mins). Adequate parking at all times we were there.
Apartments are a little shabby with broken door locks, loose hinges and old style decor. However this is the third time I have stayed and I would stay again. Price, space and location make up for it.
We liked the pool. It kept the kids busy, and we met some nice people. The staff were courteous. The balcony was large. The rooms were spacious.
There were ants in the room. Many, relentless ants. The rooms were dirty. Some places had not been cleaned in ages. There was no air conditioning in the living area. One of the burners was broken on the stove. One outlet for all appliances, so could not use anything together. Inconvenient placement of outlets in bedroom, not good for charging phone. Just dirty despite the fact that it was architect owned and there were beautiful works of art around...no amount of artwork can hide bugs and dirt.
If you like to explore Athens area on a bdget this is a great location. Very cheap. Family of stayed here for 104 Euro per night. Also has the option of cooking your self. Nice people. Pool is great for the kids.
Need major renovation.
the rooms were large but very basic but as a base very good a 10 min walk from the beach, i would only recommend the hotel if only using to sleep in
didnt really use the pool area but it looked very small and the sunloungers appeared very old
the girl in reception was very kind and the space in the room was very big.
It is a very old hotel, it's not worthing the money I pay for. The bathrooom was bad, it seemed that the time stopped in 1970. I am not suggesting it.
We booked a two bedroom family room having stayed in previous years. The apartments are very airy and spacious with good air conditioning. The place was clean and the pool was lots of fun for the kids. Close to two open air cinemas and lots of eating places but far enough away to be quiet. Parking was never a problem.
The apartments are overdue a facelift. Everything works okay but there are lots of cracked/broken bits of furniture/fittings. I guess this helps keep the prices down but I haven't seen any improvements in ten years now. I'd still go back and highly recommend the place though! Pool is deep throughout so non-swimmers need to take care.
My 3 kids were very happy: the see was nearby and a pool available at the hotel... they spend 5 days in the water... even if the hotel is a bit old fashon it was very clean and the rooms was very large and confortable... we'll come again for sure... Many thanks to the staf for the good advices, see you :-)
- Staff, very friendly and helpfull - big room with all what we need - very silent region,no streets, but near to beach, bakery and supermarket
- some parts are very old - loud climate
The price was reasonable for a spacious room.
The A/C was loud. The rooms were clean, but dated.
Swimming pool was nice.
The Hotel is not located 350 meters but 800m from the sea!! The short distance to the sea was a very important issue when we were choosing the place to stay with little kids and travelling without carriages. We didn`t like the wrong information at all!
Good position in a nice neighborhood in Vàrkiza, friendly staff. Good restaurants nearby.
There were troubles with Wifi connection. Furniture would need renovation.
spacious flat - great location - 10min walk from Varkiza beach and 10min by car from Vougliagmeni - wonderful balcony
the apartment was filthy. the room hadn't been cleaned in months. the beautiful stone floor was covered in a thick layer of dust. the furniture was completely rotten in places and water damaged in others. a rat left droppings on exactly the same spot every day on the desk. the bed covers were covered in stains. this place needs an urgent makeover and a new management.
In a very beautiful place located hotel. Very friendly staff. Very clean and convenient to maintain a location. Luxury apartments. I recommend it.
I want to go back to this apartment.
The staff was extremly nice. Friendly and had the best suggestions where to go. The Swimmingpool is great. Nice big with deep (3m) and undeep (babypool) water. And close to the sea, shops and restaurants. We had great view over the swimmingpool and sea.
We really enjoyed our stay, very friendly staff who were warm and welcoming. Our studio room was nice and spacious with a lovely view over the pool and a kitchen to cook our own meals. We would stay here again as it was good value for money. 10 minute walk to the sea and supermarkets close by.
The wifi wasn't strong and constant but adequate. The hot water in the shower wasn't reliable but adequate.
Every thing, especially the staff, they were really help full, friendly and polite.
Wi-Fi was poor, Also we suggest to install more mirrors in the rooms.
really nice big apartment in quiet area. nice staff.
Friendly people, staff etc.
Good value for money.
Apollonia is not a 4 star hotel and if the guests are expecting that they might get disappointed.
The hotel is situated within the local community and still within walking distance of all the necessary needs of visitors.
The cooking utensil range was poor. A cleaning basic kit should be left for a quick swipe up.
Very spacious, pleasant lobby, good location for commuting to . nice beaches nearby airport
Room not very clean, ants crawling in kitchen, dishes in cupboards not very clean, not a very nice smell in the room and the elevator, upholstery not clean and had a cigarette burn in the couch
The seventies design, spacious room, friendly staff and good breakfast.
Spacious room. No noise. Good air-condition. 400 m. easy walk to the beach. Clean sea. Big supermarket by the beach to buy food for your appartment kitchen. Easy and cheap public buses ride to Athens metro 'Ellinico", to international airport, and to famous cape Sounion. The central place for the whole Attica.
I did not like two things. I gave a fair mark for cleaness. This is because when I placed my 'sombrero' on the top of a low wardrobe, I found out that the whole upper deck was dusty. That means unprofessional and unattentive cleaning of the room. Second, a curtain around the shower bath is too short and there is a gap between it and the floor, so after having shower the whole floor is covered with water. Not a big deal to be a little more attentive and hang a curtain of a proper length. I
I visited the Fleming Institute and Apollonia was within walking distance. The staff was extremely accommodating, especially Anastasia. She was always going out of her way to make sure I had what I needed and that I was comfortable with my stay there. Also I liked the décor, it was well-done eclectic that gave you a sense of comfort.
The exact location (and its view). Stuff friendly, a lot of space
