Hotel is very beautiful, modern almost luxury like, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Unfortunately, location was not the best, graffiti everywhere sort of scary at first to walk, far from most tourist locations

I spent one night in Hotel Melia (a 4-star hotel) before moving to this hotel. Compared these two places, I would definitely go back to Areos. Cool design, good bed, clean room, nice staff, location is ok. I read that some traveller was complaining about the smoke. He might have a very developed olfactory system as I did not feel the smell of cigarettes except in the bar, but smoking is permitted in bars in Greece. This is a very good hotel that would deserve an extra star for sure. Vacation was over and I had to go home.

1) Reception staff really very friendly and helpful! 2) Deco and style very modern, clean and trendy 3) Cleanliness 4) Great value for money 5) Location - Alternative area within just minutes from the main tourist attractions. 6) Terraces of rooms. - Rooms a bit small - Breakfast could finish at 11 instead of 10:30 and juice could be of better quality

I normally wouldn't write a review but me and my dad were so madly impressed by the quality of the hotel and the polite, enthusiastic staff. All of whom could speak fluent English and were of massive help as we were travelling to Athens for the first time. The hotel is one of the nicest I have ever had the fortune to stay in, very modern and just my kind of style. Furnishings and the way the room and bathroom are decorated are fantastic. Beautiful bathroom, massive shower with large shower head, could say the nicest shower I have ever had. The taps and shower and hard wood flooring alone give a really solid, high class feel. Loved it. The hotel works with a private taxi firm which give exceptionally low priced fares. 20 minute drive was 11 euros! Took the taxi 2 times a day was worried as a trip that length anywhere in the world should be 20-30+. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Athens, you will be very pleased. I am no critic but 3 stars is 1 too little in my opinion:)

Having read some reviews about the area in which this hotel is located, I was a bit apprehensive about staying at Hotel Areos. I needn't have worried. The hotel is just a stone's throw away from the National Archaeological Museum and the main shopping areas, and there is easy access to the Metro, buses, trolley buses and taxis. While the surrounding buildings were a bit run-down (that can be said about a lot of areas in Athens), there was nothing unsafe about the area and we were made to feel exceptionally welcome. The staff were brilliant, very friendly, and with a good standard of English. There was nothing they wouldn't do to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Vanessa who works behind the bar was particularly friendly and was always on hand to deliver coffee or a snack directly to our room or to our table in the on-site coffee lounge. The hotel was kept immaculately clean, the rooms were nicely decorated and came with a large bathroom and a balcony. New towels and bedding were supplied every day and the buffet breakfast was delicious. This is by far one of the best value hotels in Athens and I would be delighted to stay there again. While the hotel itself doesn't have a full restaurant, there is a selection of cafés, bakeries and restaurants nearby, including the Radisson Blu hotel which is just around the corner. The only thing I would improve are the showers. While I understand that many of the rooms have walk-in showers, ours just had a bath with a shower attachment. There was no shower curtain to prevent the floor getting covered in water, and there was no wall fixing for the shower head, which meant that we had to hold the shower in our hand or between our legs as we washed. Other than that, the hotel was great and I would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here for a total of 3 nights during our honeymoon. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and I especially want to thank Mr.Andreas for his great assistance as we experienced an unfortunate flight delay in our itinerary. Other worthy mentions: Modern room decor Free internet Free breakfast(not a very large selection, but good quality) Very clean Excellent value Nothing. This is a small hotel that bests 4-star hotels from big name chains. Believe it.

We were warmly greeted by Adonis, who gave us an early check-in. The shared spaces of the hotel had a designer feel. The room was simple, but spotless and a nice size (including the bathroom)? We loved the location, close to the Victoria metro station, in a cool neighborhood with lots of trendy cafes and bars. The sights were not more than 20 minutes walk, or a quick ride on the metro, although the National Archeological Museum is right around the corner. Breakfast was plentiful. Our room had a fantastic balcony overlooking Strefi Hill. The hotel was great value for the money, and we will of course stay there again if in Athens. We were really happy with our hotel choice and the breakfast, but just to give some feedback to the hotel, we would have liked some fresh vegetables at breakfast, perhaps some cucumbers and tomatoes.

Very clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Fair breakfast and good value for money. Big balconies at the upper floors, but.... Dirty balconies, with dusty furnitures. There is enough space for some flowers there or even small trees. Quite far from metro stations

Really the atmosphere I had was quite memorable for ever and the staffs were excellent service. Really it is worth for each a penny (Free Wifi, Breakfast, Staff Service and Room cleanliness). Once again if I do get a chance to visit Greece, sure the default of my stay is with hotel areos

It's the third time I choose this hotel! It's absolutely amazing in comparison with everything I have seen before ! Clean and comfort room, very friendly staff, and nice breakfast ! We easily found somewhere to park safely our car with the help of the receptionist. The location is not just right next to the monuments of Athens, but it is an interesting neighborhood, close to metro "Victoria" and just behind the hotel , begins one of the most alternative and interesting areas of Athens which is called " Exarcheia". You can find cosy nice cafes there on your way to the city very-center! Can't really find something that I didn't like !!
