Arkadi Hotel    

My husband I stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Old City Istanbul before we arrived in Chania. The buffet breakfast at the Arkadi Hotel was better than the Crowne Plaza plus the staff were friendlier.

I enjoyed the friendly welcome and service, especially when I overslept and went into breakfast at about a minute past ten and was welcomed and given time to eat. I liked my room too and would definitely use this hotel again.

I enjoyed a reasonably priced wine and a bottle of water from the mini-bar but there were no snacks and, as I arrived too late to go out, I would have liked something.

Having a balcony overlooking the square.good selection at breakfast. Comfortable beds.. Fridge in bedroom. Pleasant and efficient staff.

Toilet paper could have been softer! Door lock not easy to use to get into room.

Super-friendly and helpful staff. Great location, just few steps from the Old Town and approx 5-10 minutes walk from the Venetian Harbour. Decent breakfast. Free wi-fi. Rooms clean. Very close to the main bus station. Baggage storeroom that allowed us to leave our suitcases and explore Chania after checkout.

Room (especially bathroom) rather small. Facade of the building is not very encouraging.

Location, the hotel is 2 minutes away from the most lovely places in Chania. Easy to go for a walk.The staff is also very friendly and helpsom.

I cannot say enough about the hotel. The staff were amazing, the cleaning staff were efficient even cleaning later in day when required. Hotel manager was friendly and extremely helpful. Location is ideal for port and shopping. Parking facilities aren't a problem.

Only a small thing, no English speaking tv, except cnn, there is Greek French German and other channels which I didn't recognise

it was very near in the city and it was very easy and we didnt have to get a taxi or a bus to descover things in chania.

The staff is friendly and always ready to help you with any useful information you need.It is very good situated close to the old harbour and the shops. The bus station is just 100 m away of it

Location is perfect and 5 minutes walk to everything and near the car parking, Breakfast is good

Excellent location! Close to the bus station for arrivals departures, to other places on Crete and to and from the airport. Close to all the sights too. Major tourist walks, restaurants etc. A 15 minute walk to the beach too.

Free drinks in the fridge. Lots of lovely towels, and cuddly dressing gowns. Air conditioning was good. Breakfast was very comprehensive. Lots of choice and taste.

There is no shower curtain to close off the cubicle so a lot of water gets onto the floor of the main toilet. The fridge was a bit noisy to sleep with so had to turn it off at night!

Close to bus station and Old Town with its shops and restaurants. 20 minute easy walk to sandy beach with loungers, umbrellas and reasonably priced restaurants. Nearby picturesque alleys and buildings with pretty plants, to explore. Balcony and chairs with good view (at front of hotel). Quiet at night with windows closed. Good aircon. Modern bathroom. Very friendly and efficient hotel staff. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent free wi-fi.

Lack of privacy on balcony (top floor). Hard bed. Very ordinary breakfast.

The noise in the rooms out in the hallway. Could hear a fart at the other end of the hotell. Cleaners did not knock on door before entering room.

Good hotel for a great price

I first stayed at the Arkadi because I was arriving late by bus in Chania and leaving early the next morning - and the hotel is two minutes' walk from the bus station. This was my second visit because, in addition: the rooms are extremely pleasant and comfortable (with aircon, fridge & safe), and from the large balconies at the front on Floors 4 & 5 the views are superb to both harbour and mountains; the harbour and shopping area are also a few minutes' walk away; the breakfast offering is extensive and the hotel's situation on the tree-lines Square makes it easy to forget you are in the centre of a city.

Good value for money, and friendly staff in reception The hotel is about 5 minutes from teh harbour, 12 minutes walk to Nea Chora beach, and 1 minute from main taxi stand and bus terminal, which makes it close to anything (and one of the main reason why I chose it). The rooms also have balconies. They are quite small, but at least enough to sit there and enjoy a quiet evening. Tip: get room in top floor, quiet and some view.

We stayed at arkadi hotel for 5 nights and we liked the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. staff treated us as if we were family to them.

The staff was incredible. All of our requests, both big and small, were granted with a cheerful attitude. The staff went over-and-above in every detail to make our stay a great one. The triple room was a generous size. We added an extra bed for a younger child at no additional charge (for a total of 4 guests in the room) and still had enough room to walk around. The location is terrific. It is near the bus station, shopping and a block away from the old town, port area. We couldn't believe what a beautiful hotel it was at this price point!
