The view and location were excellent. Unfortunately we had the worst of the superior double rooms with one of the best views of the Caldera (room 9), Our room did not meet the cleanliness standards expected from any hotel. Upon arrival our room seemed not to have been cleaned after the previous occupants had been vacated. The towels and robes were dirty. The bathroom tiles and shower screen were covered in red mould and mildew and in need of a major upgrade, it was tiny and lacked ventilation. There were black hairs and a dead spider on the plate rack, some of the cutlery was dirty and a large hair clip beween the mattress and the wall belonging to past guests. I advised management who, to their credit, offered immediate action to clean the room and provide fresh linen. The maid did a good job of cleaning the room however this should have taken place before our arrival. It was also a case of too little too late as we did not get to speak to the manager about the sate of our room until the end of our first the evening. Our stay was short consisting of only 2 days and it really spoilt the end of our trip in Santorini. The manger was genuinely apologetic and kind enough to give us a discount on the rate which was greatly appreciated. I think more staff are required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness as this is an old style hotel and can quite easily loose it's charm if these standards are not met. The Junior suite (room 8) next to our room however looked excellent.

Where do I start? We had the most amazing time at Armeni Village and in Ioa. The view of the Caldera was simply breathtaking - to wake up and eat your breakfast there each morning was wonderful. The hotel was situated right in the middle of the shopping and restaurant areas. We were close to the area everyone goes to to see the sunset. The staff and management were extremely accommodating towards us. We stayed in an attic room for 4 people and it was beautiful, being able to close the door on the main room was good. We would absolutely recommend Armeni Village and will be showing our photos to all our friends. Amazing! If we were being picky....We stayed for 5 days and the breakfast was the same each day - it became a little monotonous. There were a lot of stairs to climb - but that is not really Armeni's fault. My older daughters found sleeping up in the mezzanine area a little difficult and one would often sleep down on the couch.

Incredibly well located in Oia! Breathtaking view right out our windows. Quite a few stairs to walk down and back up but worth it definitely. Our room was impeccable, comfortable and very pretty too. Walking out of our room was like floating on water. We took the breakfast- included formula and did not regret it. It was room service and what a tray of a variety of rolls, cold cuts, chocolat croissants etc. As for the staff, it was friendly, always available. And because we were caught on lots of storms there (yes!), one young man was sweeping the water off the terracce every morning. Also very helpfu and forthcomingl when our bank caused double charges by error. I definitey would choose it again .

The location in Ia and the view from the balcony. Due to Greece going on strike we lost two nights of our four night stay with no refund. I felt some compensation could have been offered even possibly a breakfast as the delay was beyond our control. The room was not fully equiped although immediately taken care of by the bell boy.

Location in Oia. Charming decor. View of caldera (sea). Great private terrace outside our Junior Suite. Helpful staff. Generous breakfasts. Lots of hot water. Lots of steps to our room. Pool is tiny and was chilly.

The location was amazing!!! Armeni Village puts you right in the heart of Oia and all the picturesque buildings you see when you think of Santorini. I was hesitant to book this hotel because of past negative reviews, but our room was clean, the service was friendly, and the location was perfect. The white dome buildings were so lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The pool is pretty small and not deep (more to just sit in like a big jacuzzi), but it was chilly and overcast when we were there so it didn't matter. However, I was very disappointed that the jacuzzi was not heated. That would have been really nice since the weather was colder. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Lose proximity to the centre. Good views. The location is down the side of a steep hill with many steps to the rooms. The rooms are small and there is light only from the front.

The location and the breakfast are excellent. The roomprices are high but that is 'normal' if you look at the location and the city Oia.

The service was outstanding. Staff were so friendly and helpful and willing to help wherever possible. The rooms were amazing, the view spectacular and all within a close walking distance to the shops. The breakfasts contained a wide and delicious selection. I would definitely recommend Armeni Village to anyone staying in Santorini.

Oia is absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful places I've been to and definitely worth the first four days of our honeymoon trip. We stayed in August 2011 and arrived early (0615). The sunrise over the deserted, quaint streets was an experience in itself! Restaurants and shops are superb quality and the service generally very good- everyone in Oia treats the customer as King! Armeni Village is extremely well administered by Maria who keeps in constant contact until you arrive and is always happy to help and give advice. Really good quality rooms with an amazing breakfast brought to your own clifftop table every morning- perfect!

The Armeni Village is in a great location for those wanting to stay at Oia in Santorini. It is in within easy walking distance to the village of Oia and easy access to the bus terminal if you do not have transport and wish to explore the rest of the island. The staff are very profressional yet friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The view is amazing. The hotel also has a pool and jacuzzi which is a must if you are staying in the warmer months. Personally we would have liked a bigger bed. Although understandably this may be difficult given the originality of the cave like rooms.

Perfectly situated in Oia. View to die for! 180 degree sea view pluss looking over the prettiest part of the Oia hills houses, and still you are a part of them, right in the whitewashed view. Hotel sits on a cliffhanger straight down to the sea. 40 stairs up and you are right on the narrow charming pictoresque stroll that they call the main street. When it comes to location its hard to beat this hotel. What made me choose the hotel to others, was the combination pool, location and view. If you are going in july or august its so hot, you need a pool if you are going to sunbake on the terrace. Charming white cavestyle rooms. I reccomend room: 8,9and10. I stayed in 10 which was perfect! Private balcony and right above the jacuzzi. I stayed one night in number 8 also- which was a big suite and had a big balcony over the sea. You have come to paradise!! Very nice staff! Mr Dimitropolous was very atttentive and professional. He reccomended restaurants and a catamaran trip I went on which was great! Great service all around! If I was to be very picky- I would comment that the shower handle was loose and fell off if you didnt mind it. ( but what does that matter- when im in paradise?) And in my opinion they could concider changing the lavender light blue colour for a natural brown or brighter blue/turquoise to contrast the clean white.

It's awesome! Oia is the best place to be on Santorini and Armeni Village is well situated in Oia. The views are amazing and the area near the hotel is packed with shops and restaurants. The best spot to watch the famous sunset is only 10min away. The room is tastefully decorated and the pool and jacuzzi are a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning views. The bathroom was very small, but this is typical with Santorini.

A sensational position on the clifftops at Oia provides a "rock star" feeling for guests at this lovely hotel. While our beautifully white-washed room came with views, a balcony and a very comfortable bed, there were too many shortcomings for this price bracket: the bathroom was cramped, poorly appointed and unventilated with an unpleasant electronic deodoriser to compensate; WiFi was non- existent inside our room and intermitent outside by the pool; night lighting shone into our room making it difficult to sleep (I had to cover these lights with towels)
