Excellent friendly staff! 5 minute walk to the strip and beach! Pool was lovely food was great had an amazing Greek salad! Bar staff even let me bring a tea to my room
Fridge in room but no tea making facilities. Shower was weird, right next to the toilet and no shower door or curtain! Not the best sleep on the bed!
Great small family run hotel. Excellent pool and relaxing poolside environment. Lovely clean room with a large wardrobe; sofa; fridge; bathroom and balcony downstairs, with the bedroom and a second balcony upstairs which was reached by spiral staircase. Good range of breakfast options, including watermelon and yogurt with fresh fruit. Very good location in a quiet part of town but only a short walk to the beach or the resort centre. Also close to the start of the trek to ancient Thiri Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives, in fact I already have!
Nothing to report!
The position of the hotel to the beach, restaurants and bus stops. Maria and John are always available and on hand to offer lots of good advice and help.
Traditional with lots of small quirks Lovely sea view rooms (13&14) Dappled sunshine around pool bar was lovely to read books Greek family were very welcoming
Shower temp rather variable Mattress a tad hard
Pleasant quiet location just on the edge of the village. Lovely pool area with shady trees. Run by a very pleasant and helpful family.

Amazing. The high rating this hotel has is well-earned.
The location of the hotel is great, at walking distance of Perissa's beach. There is a nice swimming pool and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
Very welcoming friendly
Could have done with some sunbed padding to make sunbeds more comfortable
We really enjoyed our time here situated far enough from the beach noise but close enough to walk. The hospitality was amazing. The grandmother who made the breakfast hugged us when we left. The pool was incredible. The view awesome. The other guests were friendly and adventurous.
The hotel is in a great location. Just up the road from the local bus stop, from the beach strip with restaurants etc, and from the boat bus to Kamari beach. Also at the vary start of the walk up the hill to ancient Thera. A really lovely walk to do as the winds keep you cool even in the midday heat. Our room was big, clean and bed was comfortable. The staff of the hotel were fantastic, so nice, friendly, informative and helpful throughout our entire stay. Also I had to go to the doctor on the last day of my stay and that left us running late for our ferry back to Athens as we couldn't make the bus to ferry port and taxis were unavailable. Panicking, I called the lady in Artemis Hotel and she dropped everything and came to pick us up and drove as fast (but also safely) as she could and got us to the ferry with 5 minutes to spare. It was peak season so getting another ferry to Athens would have been difficult, not to mention what would have happened if we hadn't made our flight home too! We were so grateful to her for her help!
The staff are fabulous make you feel part of the family. The pool bar serves fantastic food and is fairly priced.
Great hotel!! The family that owned the hotel were extremely hospitable and made us feel feel welcome. Lovely pool and bar area too serving great snacks and drinks.
Breakfast, swimming pool, staff, rooms with balcony
Internet not working on room
family owned nice people nothing to much trouble
Nice pool. Beach was a short 5 minute walk. Breakfast was good and has variety. Book exchange was nice feature. Shower had holder to allow a real shower without holding the spray. WiFi was good.
Owner did not provide transfer to port, requiring hiring a taxi for 20 Euros. Air conditioning and safe requires extra payment.
The location of the hotel was ideal for us. It is 300 meters (up hill) from the beach and a local bus stop, but is on the edge of town so it is quiet at night. This was important to us because our children (ages 7 & 11) need their sleep. It is also located at the start of the trail that leads to ancient Thira. Our room (12) was very large and kept very clean all week even though our kids brought back a lot of black sand into the room with them each day. The refrigerator worked well and we stocked it with snacks and water during the week. The view from this room is beautiful. The balcony overlooks the pool area and further out a blue domed church and finally the Aegean Sea. The bed mattresses were firm and reasonably comfortable and we slept well. My daughter slept on a couch that converted into a small bed. She could feel the separate cushions, but never complained. There is a safe in the wardrobe which we did not use. We placed our valuable items (computer and Kindle readers) in a suitcase each day and they were left undisturbed. I believe that the hotel is secure and the staff is completely trustworthy. The room has air conditioning. We did not use it as it was not overly hot at the end of May. I do not know how well it works and I think I saw a sign that says you will be charged 6 Euros per night to use it. Breakfast was nice and included a variety of foods (cereal, breads with jams and chutneys, extra yummy Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, a pastry filled with cheese and sometimes meat, and wonderfully fresh and delicious local tomatoes, cucumbers and feta cheese sprinkled with thyme and olive oil. To drink the children had milk and juice, and we were served very nice coffee with cream each morning. They also offer tea if you prefer it. The ladies at breakfast (I think one of them was the mother of our hostess) were extra sweet to our children, giving them extra special treats such as chocolate croissants and bananas.
This is not a complaint but a FYI for families with children: First, you must accompany your children to the pool; they are not allowed to go by themselves. Also, when we stayed at the hotel (end of May 2014), we were the only family there with children. All of the other customers were couples aged 45-60. Many of them spent their days lounging by the pool reading and soaking up the sun. Our children swam and played in the pool and at one point had an argument with each other and got overly loud. Our host did come over and asked them to quiet down. I felt this request was reasonable considering their clientele at the time. On the last day of our stay, two more children arrived and they all played in the pool together. I felt that they were allowed to play more freely at this time as they were no longer completely outnumbered by adults. I felt that my children were welcome here, but they were required to be considerate of others.
