Really beautiful hotel, with gorgeous views and very high standards. Staff were attentive but not over the top, friendly and welcoming with some great suggestions on places to go and things to do. Loved the breakfast on your own personal terrace with an uninterrupted view. Loved the airport pick up and champagne on arrival- just what you need after an easy jet flight!

it is isolated so be prepared for cab fares which do add up.

We stayed at the Astarte Suites for 9 nights, 5 in a Junior Suite and the final 4 in a Honeymoon Suite. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport (the hotel provides transfers at the start and end of guests’ holidays) and is near the ancient town of Akrotiri. We had a fantastic time there and will definitely return. The main reason we would recommend the hotel is it is uniquely placed on the island. There are other similarly priced hotels on Santorini which offer similar facilities and style of accommodation, pool, view etc. However Astarte Suites is on the opposite side of the island from the larger Santorini towns of Oi and Fira where most hotels are based. The hotel itself is built into the cliffside in its own private cove, so the hotel offers complete tranquillity and seclusion away from main roads etc. If you want to completely relax this is the place to go. Both rooms were excellent, as you would expect for the price – king size beds, flat screen tvs, Jacuzzis, en suite bathroom, mini bar etc. All the 9 rooms in the hotel have large balconies high up on the cliff with the same view - a truly jaw-dropping panorama of the whole caldera. Rooms were cleaned at least twice daily (bed turned down, fresh towels and Hermes toiletries provided etc.). As there are only 9 rooms each are very private and you really can relax in absolute peace. Every evening we were asked to complete our breakfast menu and specify a time for delivery on to our balcony. Breakfast is served from early up until 11.30am and the choice and portion sizes were very good. Every morning we had eggs, toast, cereal, greek yoghurt and honey, pastries and fresh juices (not concentrate) and coffees. Sure enough we would wake up shortly before breakfast was due to be served and find that our balcony table had been laid out like a restaurant and we were able to enjoy slow breakfasts while watching the boats go past silently in the sea below – wonderful.

Astarte was amazing! The staff are there to help you with any and everything you need 24/7 and are always very polite and accomidating. Was a perfect destination for my honeymoon, very relaxing, private, and peaceful. The honeymoon suite was beautiful and the food was excellent!! Breakfast outside on our private terrace every morning and dinner by the pool or in the privacy of our room.

The views from the suites are the best we have ever seen with breathtaking views over most of the caldera. The rooms were secluded, serene, spacious and comfortable, each with its unique charm. The staff were very friendly, affable and service was excellent. The food was of good standard. Breakfast (quite substantial) and transport to the airport were included in the price.

The superior suites do not have cross ventilation and humidity levels can be high due to the jacuzzi in the room. Restaurant was priced on the high side.

ήταν όλα άψογα. το δωμάτιο, το σέρβισ, η θέα. μοναδικό μειονέκτημα η σχέση αξίασ τιμήσ, ειδικά για αυτή τη περίοδο που πιστευω ότι έπρεπε να είναι αρκετά φθηνότερο.

Vue splendide sur la caldera - localisation (calme, éloigné des lieux trop touristiques) - accueil chaleureux et disponibilité du personnel (toute demande satisfaite très rapidement) - piscine magnifique - excellent petit déjeuner servi en terrasse dans la chambre - confort général de la chambre - Très bonne surprise en arrivant : surclassement en suite "honeymoon"...

Connection internet wifi fonctionnant par intermittence - chemin d'accès aux suites en pente (très) raide - Pas de salle à manger ni d'installation wellness/fitness.

an kalten Tagen keinerlei Aufenthaltmöglichkeit ausser im Zimmer, es gibt viele schönere und genauso schöne Flecken auf der Welt für weitaus weniger Geld.
