The staff really went out of their way to help us have an enjoyable trip. When we inquired about renting a car, they arranged for the rental company to pick us up. When we took a tour boat, they again arranged for door-to-door service. They were willing to provide extra towels at all hours. And when we left on a 6am flight, they drove us to the airport! |

The hotel is brand new and extremely clean. Location is good, about 150 yards from the center of town and from the bus station. But the road lacks sidewalks part of the way and may be scary to walk on. We paid extra for a "volcano view" road. The view was beautiful, but because it was across the busy road, it was so noisy we could not really enjoy it. Better to stay in a back room. Breakfast was ok. Free wireless was a big plus, as was transportation to the port. Staff was friendly and helpful. All in all clean, new, pleasant hotel. |

The staff, the pool, the location, the cleanliness, and the rooms were excellent! The double bed in our room was extremely hard! |

Staff was really healpfull and very nice, Room was big and nice decorated and finally one spacious bathroom. I will recommend to my friends and I will stay there again. |

The hotel was very clean The beds are horrible. They are so hard my circulations to my arm got cut off when laying on my side. The view of the volcano is obstructed by a large building...bummer. |

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Very clean hotel, and a very good location. I didn't like it when I was not given the room I had selected when I arrived on the first night. However I was later given a room of my choice on the subsequent nights |

Astir Thira was very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful, and the location is great. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!! |

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The room was really nice and the views were great, the location is great, just 2 blocks out of town so it is quiet but an easy walk to the center. Front dest woman was unfriendly and not at all helpful |

El hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado, cerca de la estacion de autobus, aunque recimiendo el alquiler de un carro o moto el personal de hotel muy amablemente se encarga de todo, y te permiten utilizar un terreno al lado del hotel como estacionamiento El desayuno es muy basico, pero no podria hablar mal de este hotel, lo recomiendo, eso si deben aceptar tarjetas de credito, debi pagar en efectivo |

Vi boede kun de 2 første dage på hotellet. Astir Thira Hotel havde desværre over booked ugen ( 9 - 16 august 2008), hvilket vi var gjort opmærksom på via e-mail hjemmefra. Men vi tog afsted alligevel, og hotellet fandt på fremragende vis en løsning. Vi blev mandag flyttet til Hotel Tzekos i Fira - også et glimrende Hotel. Tak til personalet på Astir som på fremragende vis løste problemet som lovet |
