Astro Palace Hotel & Suites    

My husband and I travel a lot and we both agreed it was the friendlest hotel we had ever stayed in. A great team of people who try their hardest to make you have a relaxing and fun holiday.

It's a quiet 5 star hotel, staff are nice~room clean.

Not good enough view, the photo on the website looks much better than the actual view.

The service was impeccable and so too the cleanliness. An ideal spot for sightseeing the whole island but especially it's proximity to Fira shops and restuarants.

Perhaps a little evening cosy bar is missing. The poolside bar has very good and attentive staff but perhaps lacks a bit of atmosphere in the evening.

It deserves the five star.The bellboy and front desk all have passion so much.The hugh room and excellent spa make me comfortable.

I spent 5 nights here...was great! The best thing was the staff..I think it makes a big difference when travelling alone if staff are approachable and friendly...Peter, Sylvia , Anastasia and Aona (massage ) were great and they made my stay there complete so helpful and fun :-)

Just a couple of things mentioned that would be in my room weren't there.... Eg.. iron, bath robe, coffee machine (there wasn't even tea or coffee making facilities) But anything I asked for was quickly attended to :-)

New building with tasteful decor, different design with the executive suites having small private plunge pools and seating area. Great Showers. Quiet location yet near enough for access to the town. Staff availableand helpful when needed but not pushy for trips etc

Definitely the hotel & the surroundings ... Ideal for relaxation & very suitable for young couples .. Especially honeymooners who seek a quite place close to centre & close to places of entertainment & good restaurants. Has beautiful distant sea views. Staff offer a top notch service, are very friendly & helpful & truly make you feel welcome.

In hotel description, there was no indication that private pools are in a common area & as such are not secluded & 'private' stands for the number of people that can swim in it. Having said that the surrounding area is beautiful & very spacious & is much quieter than the common pool area

The hotel does not have the best view in Santorini.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, not overly crowded and with beautiful views of Fira and the sea. The pool and pool bar were both superb, especially the mojitos made by Billy - the best I've ever had! The young staff were so attentive and friendly.

The rooms were lovely with a sea view and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good and it's an easy 10-15 minute walk into Fira.

You miss out on the drama of being right on the Caldera and if you don't like walking it's slightly further out of Fira than some other places - the large rooms and pool made up for this in our opinion.

Incredible!!! Hotel is really clean, stuff are polite, excellent service, food is tasty, pool is luxury, cocktail bar at pool is really cool!!!!! Fantastic hotel. Amazing. If I will go Santorini, absolutely I'm gonna use this hotel again!!

The staff were pleasant. The location is good. The rooms are clean, new & nice. The pool area is lovely.

Some things were not 'polished' in the way the hotel runs for example, the hot food at breakfast not being hot, the water running brown in the room, the taxi booking turning up early and being given to another guest instead. Although the staff fixed these promptly when they were made aware of them, during only a short stay, it did feel like we had to bring a lot of things to their attention. It was odd that we had an unfinished 'extra room' off to the side of the bedroom not locked & that the door kept coming open to it & then slamming shut again. Would have been good if this door had a lock to stop that happening. The 3rd person charge for a sofa bed is excessive.

Breakfast was perfect and the hotel staff as well.

internet connection was very bad in the room. The air condition was very noisy. Next time I would prefer only bed on the first floor.

The hotel is very well situated, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and the stuff very helpfull and nice.I Recommend it without hesitation...

It was kept very clean. Rooms are spacious, comfortbale and have a lovely modern feel to them. The hotel itself is very nice, with a great pool and bar area. The staff are very pleasant. The breakfast was very good. It is located well outside the centre of Fira, and is perfect if you are after a relaxing, quiet stay.

The location! The whole point of staying in Santorini is to get the breath taking caldera views which this hotel does not have. The hotel is not close to the sea at all as some photos may suggest. It is located in what seemed to be a paddock, and although we had a nice balcony, the first thing we'd see in the morning were horses and donkeys. The hotel is a good 2km walk from the centre of Fira and from the caldera, which may not seem like a lot, but you need to go up 3 fairly steep roads to get there, and in 35deg heat it's not very pleasant. The wifi was terrible. Although the hotel was quiet nice, it was definately not 5 star and neither was the breakfast. We were wanting to stay somewhere as "luxurious" as possible for a reasonable price, and were that's why deterred from hotels on the caldera, but I am sure we could've found something for the same value on the caldera - as Astro incorrectly claims to be a 5 star luxurious hotel.

The hotel staff made us feel very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay in the hotel. The hotel was very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was good as it was about six minutes walk from the centre of Thira (although up hill) making it a quiet place to stay.

Reception staff were superb, very helpful and informative. Pool Bar staff was fabulous. I enjoyed the hotel being a bit away from the main street and was quiet.

No ventilation system in the bathroom

The staff were wonderful - polite, helpful, above and beyond in terms of hospitality and support.The room was clean, quiet, contemporary with a balcony and a view. The pool was perfect and the pool staff attentive and kind - they knew when to step up and when to step back. This resort type hotel is just a walk away from Fira, the capital city and yet it felt so quiet and relaxing we had to force ourselves to leave due to other schedules. An amazing place - one I will tell friends, family, and other travellers about for years to come. A perfect base for exploring Santorini from. Thank you, Astro Palace!

Rooms where to hot

The hotel is only 2 years old and was well designed with a lot of ammenities. The rooms are quite large, very clean, great bathroom, well furnished, free wifi. There is an infinity pool with great lounges for relaxing. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Fira, only a 5 minute walk to the bus station and 7 minutes to Fira. The hotel staff was excellent. A breakfast buffet is included.

Service was wonderful and the pool area was lovely, room was always very clean and bathroom facilities were excellent.
