A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located near the picturesque Plaka neighborhood. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.

This hotel has a prestigious location in the historic heart of Athens. It has 4-star facilities, excellent views of the Acropolis and Temple of Olympian Zeus, and fine cuisine.
Score from 683 reviews Excellent
This 4-star hotel is a 5-minute walk from Megaro Mousikis Metro Station and 2 stops from the historic and shopping center of Athens. It offers soundproofed rooms with satellite TV.
Score from 707 reviews Very good
Situated at the foot of the Acropolis, Herodion Hotel has elegantly decorated air-conditioned rooms.
Score from 772 reviews Very good
The Hotel is located in a very convenient location close to the Metro and an easy 10minute walk to Plaka. The Staff were friendly approachable and were will to assist in all matters. A good place to stay close to the Acropolis.
Hard bed, very stained carpet, noisy AC, poor lighting, stained walls.
I really liked the location. It was near a lot of ammentatise and it was very welcoming. The staff I dealt with were very nice, friendly and wanted to ensure a good stay. I would definitely go again.
The only things that sort of bothered me was that we had two single beds put together instead of one queen or king bed...but I'm not sure if that's what is done in Greece. Everything else was great.
Staff and service Hotel overall Food
Unless one wants to spend the whole time at the museum or Parthenon this part of Athens isn't wonderful
Little bit far u ve to walk
We were looking for a central hotel for one night in Athens. We knew we'd be arriving from a Greek island around midnight and that our plane was schedules for 3PM the next day. We wanted a decent hotel, central enough for us to go check the Acropolis, have a quick walk around the center and leave for the airport. This was exactly it. We paid a cheap price for a decent room. Nothing luxurious, it's a dated hotel in the red light district but the staff was nice, and at the risk of repeating myself and for lack of other words i'll describe this hotel again as decent
The people that worked there were great! Answered all questions and seemed to be ready and willing to be there to help as soon as you needed it. We were nearby 2 metro stations and the Plaka...which is awesome to go to for an evening stroll. Will definitely return to stay.
I wouldn't say I "didn't like" it was mostly because of how Greece is. The lights were a bit weird to figure out and the toilettes were a little weird to figure out, but as I mentioned this is a Greece thing and the Hotel has no control. This is just to basically let you know.
Staff were fantastic!!! fantastic value for money the suite we had was amazing and massive great views from the terrace! AMAZING at night
parking was a little difficult but we managed
The location of the hotel to the sites and town was very good
The rooms were very drab, carpet filthy, beds very uncomfortable. Buffet breakfast was at best average and the staff disinterested.
Location was good and the included buffet breakfast was excellent
Great location to acropolis & cafés. Comfortable beds, friendly staff. We only stayed one night & had to leave early for ferry. Breakfast was delicious, just wish we could stay longer to enjoy the food!
Really good location close to Plaka. Spacious room well furnished.
The milk used at breakfast (I suspect 'Long Life') was horrible, undrinkable really.
The rooftop bar
The location was great and the staff were very attentive. The view from the roof restaurant of the Acropolis was unbeatable.
all very good! Clean, comfortable, good sound insulation. A perfect location!
good hotel. excellent breakfast
Staff were friendly and helpful, Hotel was clean, Roof garden restuarant had a beautiful view of the accropolis, the hotel seems to be totally dependant on selling this point to generate business and inflate prices Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast
Very expensive and over-priced for the quality and size of room - more of a two star rather than a four star, decor was drab and in need of refurbishment, only one small room in bedroom. We stayed at a much cheaper and better quality hotel in Athens in June 2009, which unfortunately was full on this occasion, difficult to find the hotel from map and poor directions from booking.com website Shower not attached properly to the wall, flow of water from shower meant that water is wasted and goes all over bathroom like a lake Poor breakfast choice, particularly fruit such as fruit
Great access to all the sights. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Very big room and balcony. We enjoyed the rooftop bar overlooking the Acropolis.
We could not turn off all the lights at night or our electronic devices would not charge.
great location, Staff was great.
Noisy on the lower floors.
checking in the receptionist was distracted, gave us 2 different room numbers so we had to try the keys in both. also, we had booked a twin room and it was very small, much smaller than we had expected and had at other hotels.
stable shower, cozy room
Everything in the refrige charges. Besides, the breakfast menu remained the same every day. It was surprising at the beginning, but it'd be a bit boring after 5 days.
Location is #1. The view and walking distance to the Plaka and transportation. The service ansdstaff are excellent and helpful.
If I have to mention something, it will be the noise. Especially on the lower floors. Along with the noise in the hallway the sounds from the plumbing on upper floors was loud.
Friendly staff who were very helpful with an unusual request (storage of frozen salmon) and location.
Absence of more than one electric socket in my room.
Staff extremely friendly. Location is perfect.
The breakfast was excellent
The bed was uncomfortable.
