I noted a few previous visitors complained about the location; did they realize there is not only the grocery market in front of the house, but a fascinating huge market building across the street? I loved to stay in this genuine neighbourhood, walk around, smell the flavours and watch people yelling, selling and negotiating. I think the neighbourhood is perfectly safe unless ohne has agoraphobia ;o) Walking distance to plaka, walking distance to airport metro, walking distance to acropolis etc.; free w-lan access can be asked for in 24hrs-portions so that was fine, too. Breakfast was included although I had in mind it was not going to be. Staff is nice and helpful keeping in mind the generally slightly abrupt way Greeks communicate in lol Acropolis view was actually reduced to a few stones at the extreme corner of acropolis; make sure you get a room a) above floors 3/4, and b) x01 to x03. I was in 505 which makes that 90% of acropolis is hidden by an ugly flat building, but I still payed an "acropolis view" room. Minibar is empty, no hotel bar, no room service. |

The position of the hotel is the worse I have ever met. The environment outside the hotel shocked me and my wife as well. |

Lovely hotel, great staff (very helpful), and fab location - we walked everywhere, no need to use public transport. Nice breakfasts. Bathroom was pretty small and the door didn't close properly so there wasn't a lot of privacy. Immediate area isn't the best - there were people sleeping rough about 20m from the front door and a group of prostitutes round the corner. But if you're not arriving back too late this isn't a problem - we felt quite safe (2 ladies travelling), arriving back 10ish each night. |

The location was great. Right at the central markets and only 5 mins walk to monastiraki. Very close to all the tourist sites. The only thing we did not like about this hotel was the man at reception. He was middle aged, and not very polite. He was rude to my husband when he asked about the wi fi. He just did not seem like he wanted to be there. The younger staff and the women in the breakfast room were all very polite. |

The hotel was in a location whereby most things were easily accessible. The view from the rooftop is incredible. Most hotel staff were great The location was in an area of Athens I did not feel safe at night. This was a slight problem coming back from tours or after it got dark |

Everything in the room looks like brand new, the hotel services are good The location is not the greatest one. The hotel is placed in the middle of the fruit market, this makes it a bit harder to find it. |

it was comfortable. The fruits at the front street of the hotel are good. We enjoyed the view on the roof of the hotel. The breakfast was fine. Better if the price is lower and if there is a restaurant on the roof. The distance between the hotel and the Monastiraki Station is not that near. A bit noisy during the day-time. |

The hotel is located in the borough Psiri, just in front of part of the Athens market, so the area has plenty of movement. It is very near the tourist area of Monastiraki and Plaka. The surrounding streets are not very recommendable, so better to go to all sites across the street Athina. For internet connection you get a code that lasts 24h ... and then you can ask for another and it's free. Breakfast is not bad. The area around the hotel, especially when turning the streets to the left. |

The location of the hotel is excelent, very close to the main atractions. The staff was very nice, even though some of them did not speak English well. The hotel was really nice. The city. however, it is very caotic, with a very bad traffic. The taxy drivers always try to take more money for the rides. |

Breakfast was ok, nice new bathroom, the internet worked fine and the design of the hotel was very modern and fresh. the location right behind the market was a bit creepy during the afternoons and evenings. Many people just hung around there, we didn't always feel safe. But that was mainly the first day, after than we got used to it and nothing ever happened, so I assume it was quite safe. |

newly renovated hotel done very smartly and tastefully. good use of space, rooms and bathrooms small but perfectly done. good view of acropolis from room and from roof terrace. the location which was described as "newly trendy" was actually poor. you enter hotel through a local market so taxis do not have access. it may be full of character but if you are a vegetarian or don't like the sight of hanging meat you will be put off. its just a few blocks too far from the plaka area. |

The hotel was clean and within walking distance from Plaka One receiptionist on evening shift was very rude and unwilling to answer questions. The "do not disturb" sign provided by the hotel did not mean anything to the cleaners, they would still use their own key to get in the room. On my arrival while I was in bed someone walked into my room to bring a small bottle of wine without knocking on the door. I felt they had no respect for people's privacy. Every evening between 6:30 and 7 pm after the fruit market is closed, the area is so dirty and smelly that you would have to hold your breath walking from the main road to the hotel, it feels like walking through a big garbage bin! Also the hotel is in a "red light" district which made me uncomfortab looking out of my window at nights. |

The good price and close proximity to metro station and city centre. Location in a shady area if the city, and strange access through a fruit market. |

The hotel is located just in front of a big vegetable market, but is quite new and nice. There are rooms having a splendid view on the Acropolis. The hotel has also a roof garden. During the day, the taxi cannot reach directly the hotel entrance, because of the market, but this is not really problematic. During the night hours woman has to take care, avoiding bags |

It was easily approachable from Metro stations, Clean, and efficient. Right in the middle of vegetable market, it does not look like a hotel from outside. Nights can be bit risky due to rough neighborhood. One has to be carefull, though there are severral police patrol in that area. |

Excellent position inside the heart of Central market. So much to see jusy outside the door and not far to walk yo Monastiraki flea markets, Acropolis, Syntagma Square etc. Breakfast was good and the view from the roof garden stunning. Rooms were new, clean and comfortable no coffee/tea making facilities |
