눉The hotel is popular and hence has lots of guest turn-over. So you might find yourself waiting a while before you check-in or check-out. The reception area is small. But the staff are helpful. I booked a family room e.g. 2 deluxe connecting rooms. They were small but clean. Its fine if you plan to stay max 2-3 nights. Overall the location of the hotel makes up for the little inconveniences that you may encounter.
눇The hotel has a very good location, although it is hidden away in an alley. If you are travelling on your own e.g. taking a cab or subway, you could find it a challenge to find the hotel. The area has pedestrian areas only so, not easily accessible to vehicles. But if you are taking the taxi, then you have to check or presume that the driver know the location of the hotel. In may case, as I traveled with very young children, I did not want to take any risks. I asked the hotel to arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. I did the same when I was departing. As mine was a very early flight and we had to leave the hotel at 5 am, it turned our to be very useful to ask the hotel to arrange for the taxi, although it was slightly pricey...but well worth it. E.g. in the morning there were no taxis around on the streets to flag down. As others have mentioned the location is the best thing about the hotel. Around the corner there are cafes, restaurants and also small shops selling gyros and even Mac's slightly further down. With our stroller, we could walk to Syntagma, down Ermou and even ventured as far as Plaka. Its close Monastiraki as well. All within walking distance. When we visited the Acropolis the taxi ride was Euro 5 all the way to the entrance (near the museum). With 3 kids, we managed to reach the top of the acropolis. For those with strollers, you can check-in your stroller near the ticketing area.
