Location in central Athens near the metro with food outlets close. very pleasant and helpful staff
inadequately equipped kitchen
We stayed here in end of September, on 3 days and booked room with 3 beds, but when we arrived the stuff manager give us another room with 4 beds by same price, so it was first and only one thing that we liked here :) We not found any bugs, bed bugs, bloody mosquito and any annoying flies, as many people said about this hotel before. All was clean. But...
No clean service. In all 3 days our staying here no one cleans your room. No soap, no shampoo, no towels, no blanket (only bed sheet). Thank for free toilet paper! :))) No fridge. No TV. No parking. The free parking means that you can left your car on the street near hotel ;) Very disgusting area around hotel. Many homeless, almost all the buildings destroyed or non-residential, a lot of dirt, garbage at each step. As with all such Athens. Do not walk barefoot in room and shower , only in slippers! On second day I have caught the infection "foot fungus" between my toes.
Big lounge and kitchen. Good location. Low dorm bed price
Could not find a fork, knife and glass.
Staff was friendly, room was clean and is right near the metro station. Good value for money if you are just looking for a bed to sleep in.
Bed prefference is not always possible to accomodate so you might want to call first if you need a double bed.
I did not get the room I booked. The person at the front desk insisted that I had booked a 6 bed room. This was not the case. It was late in the afternoon and too late to change my booking to another hotel. The room was shabby, dark, the main light didn't work. The bathroom had a very mouldy smell and water leaked from the base of the toilet. The shower was dirty and we didn't use it. The area is very dangerous - according to the local police we spoke to and they advised us to be off the streets by 8 pm. I cancelled the remaining 2 days and left for Piraeus the next day. Put me off Athens which was a shame.
Close to metro station. Huge common area. Fast wifi.
neighborhood is pretty dodgy - especially at night. Not really close to the main "scene" - would recommend staying closer to town
Good wifi. Beds are big and comfortable. Location is excellent easy accea to metro and all kinds of transport.
Showers need some renovations.
The bedrooms and the WC needs urgently a new face... The humidity smell its terrible
I loved Athens Close to metro station
1. the room smelled disqusting 2. the bathroom was terrible 3. the facilities was afwul 4. was very expensive for that crap 5. we booked for two nights but we stayed one because it was a mess. cant desktibe how horrible it was! dont even think to book at this hostel, except u dont have any money 6. no towels 7. no wifi of course ( they supposed to have but it disnt work) 8. it was dirty 9. It was a nightmare. never again...
considering this price, it is pretty good. I am not getting used to youth hostel, so it is a little bit uncomfortable to me, but it is ok. I just stay there for one night and that's all i want.
Location staff and price
A little noisy
the room was clean and had a balcony. it's close to the metro which is 4 stops away from central athens. air con in room and linen provided.
noisy at night, strange area but safe
It was a nice hostel
air-conditioning was either too cold or too hot and lights didn't work in our room. also power points were extremely hard to get to
The place is very economical for low budget travllers. We booked it since we were only spending one night . Metro station is 100mts away.
The place located is kinda shady so travel only in a group. Advisable to take a cab at night. The room was clean but smelly. No linen or soap was given in the rooms we had booked. This was my first trip to Europe but I was told by my friends that the youth hostels are much better
I had bedbugs When I checked in the toilet hadnt been cleaned or flushed.... The area was really rundown and I didnt like returning after dark to the hostel It was overpriced It was dirty
area, metrostation close by, staff, fresh, new sheets, big kitchen
old, wooden furniture, atmosphre not nice.
Wifi, near to Metro, Maps, and Breakfast, polite staff, especially the old man..though he is not old at heart :)..
Please try to provide the rooms that are exactly booked for, like if it is for 4 bed or 6 bed..provide appropriately.
The bathroom could be cleaner.
The kitchen close early
- woman at the reception could speak german - not important for me, but definitely for some travellers
- one key for whole dorm!! last person always had to bring it back... didn't happen and I had to wait to come into the dorm - only one plug for a dorm - bathroom was disgusting
cheap and near metro station
air condition dosent works , rooms are so old and not clean , The desk old man is rud
I booked a bed in a FOUR people bedroom. Was stuffed into a six people bedroom. The shower curtain was stingy and filthy. There was no window to open. The aircon was so cold you couldn'r bear it and loud on top. Upon complaining I was simply told that the manager wasn't there and he couldn't do anything about it. NEVER again!
Room was clean. Staff were very helpful and gave clear directions. friendly too!
The neighbourhood wasn't very nice at all, we didn't feel safe outside of the hostel. Asked for a double room and was given a twin. Beds were not very comfortable and the aircon had no remote so it was either really cold on or hot with it off. The noise from a group of backpackers in the hallway ALL NIGHT was very annoying.
