Athens Way

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but in Athens, that's not bad since it was quiet. There is a bit of an uphill walk from the Panepistimio subway station, but not out of bounds for Athens. The room was beautiful...recently renovated with modern design and features...gorgeous rain shower in the bathroom, great bed and ample pillows. Was a great value for the rate I paid.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, very good facility, in a safe area with plenty of restaurants around. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room. Within walking distance to public transportation. I would highly recommend this hotel for Athens visitors.

The mattress of the bed was not so good.

No water boiling facility in the room

Athens Way is a true gem. Very modern, new property an easy 20 minute walk from the Acropolis. We stayed twice in two different rooms, both were fantastic. Each of the three staff at the front desk during different times went out of their way to help us (finding laundry, boat tickets, getting food from the sleek restaurant with great patios upstairs even after hours, bringing breakfast to our room when we needed it early a.m.). I travel nonstop for business and find this to be amongst the best small boutique hotels that I have stayed in...something akin to a smaller version of a Westin hotel or NH in Europe. I would not agree with other reviewers who say the rooms are small. We have traveled 6 weeks in Europe and this was the best.

In a nice neighbourhood with a slightly villagey atmosphere, fantastic shopping, cafes etc very nearby. No menu for roof bar restaurant but they did make me a very nice light meal and reasonably priced though drinks seemed expensive.No bath in the room and not much of a view, no balcony but fantastic shower and comfortable air-conditioned room. Nice market in the neighbourhood sat morning

The comfort and the design of the room was really good And the bathroom was very big.The personell the first day was very sweet and helpful.

In the morning there was different personell who was not smiling, not nice, and had poor or no english-skills! I am shocked that a hotel can hire a person who doesn't speak english! What also confuses me is the clothes the personell was wearing. A beautiful design hotel and staff who's using regular clothes and no name tag does not go together. Also, the location of the hotel was really poor in a somewhat questioned neighbourhood.

The hotel is new, with a very nice terrace. Good location, very nice room (everything is new), we have received a lot of tips where to eat, what to visit etc.

My girlfriend and I originally booked for 3 nights at Athens Way and found it fantastic, so much so we re-booked it for another night upon our return from travelling around some of the greek islands. The rooms are really nice and clean with modern decor and touches to them. The rooftop dining area/bar is great as well and the quality of the breakfast was perfect to set you on your way for the day. The location is pretty good, with only a 5-10 minute to the nearest metro station and is central to all the main sites (approx. 25 - 30 mins walk to the Acropolis or just a couple of metro stops away). I'd definately stay there again with good value for money and recommend it for anyone spending a few days in Athens.

Free breakfast. Very reasonable price for the room. Clean. Pretty convenient walk to shopping, sights, restaurants.
