The hotel was wonderful and the stafff could not be more attentive and gracious. Our room looked out onto the Acropolis and Parthenon, and the room was quite spacious, especially by Greek standards. The room was also very nicely furnished. The staff left a bottle of wine for us, while we were out. I really could not fault anything about the hotel itself and the location was great if your purpose is to visit the Parthenon. It is quite a distance from the airport to the city center, but most of the travel time is taken up, getting through the city center esp. as strikes were going on during our time there. It is situated in the center of downtown, which is a bit of a nuicance to get to, but if your purpose is to visit tourist sites, then you have no choice but to stay in the center of it all. This is not against the Athen's Imperial, but a warning for folks taking a taxi. When taking it from the hotel, you can ask the staff how much it costs to get wherever, and the cab drivers stick to that price. Beware on the way home though because the cab drivers will rip you off. We paid 7 Euros to go to the Parthenon, and the taxi driver on the way home told us that rates went up after 12pm and charged us $30 Euros! We mentioned it to the hotel staff later, and they said, we should have just said that we needed to go inside to get more money, then one of the staff members would have went out and spoken to the driver. We shouldn't have paid it, but when you are in a different country and you don't know where you are going, or don't speak the language, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

The staff was really helpful and kind, very service minded. The rooms are enormous, some of them with a view over the Acropolis. The cleaness of the room, especially of the bathroom, was not so good. A colleague of mine found a mushroom behind the wc... There is a smell of sewage in some of the rooms. This is not appropriate for a 5 stars hotel. The tv screen was very small, making almost impossible to watch the tv from the bed. But worst of all, the area around the hotel is very dangerous. Women are not advised to go out on their own, even in daylight.

Cuisine served during breakfast rather limited in choices compared with those served in most hotels in Asia, in particular hotels in Malaysia (4 star and above), the country where I come from.

Location to the metro Devastated and suprised (at 28 degrees) that the hotel wasn't open - one of the main choices for the hotel. Many other rooftop pools were open so even more disappointing. Scarily close to drug ridden streets

The pictures on line..which were so not reflecting the true reality at all. Breakfast was ok but not so great. Close to metro station and gyros stand. Old building. Poor neighbourhood. Not close to attractions or shopping/dining places. Pictures and description online are so untrue. Absolutely not 5 star. The breakfast is not of best quality.

The rooms are quite large (although we had an upgrade), and very comfortable. The WiFi was extremely fast and reliable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we were quite late out each day, our room was always made up when we returned. The hotel is very close to the station and the sound proofing was quite good. The main parts of Athens are not close by - you have to walk about 20mins up to the main shopping areas. However, being off the main squares turned out to be quite good as there was some protests when we were there.

Staff very helpful. Great views of Acropolis and Parthenon. Next to a bad area of town where heroin users can routinely be seen injecting drugs in view of the hotel.

I like the fact that each room has iron machines and tables. I can't understand why every hotel does not do it. It's a bigger need then minibar if you travel for business.

We arrived in Athens Airport at 10PM to discover a public transport and taxi strike was in full gear. We contacted the hotel and they arranged to send a driver to pick us up- the price quoted was very reasonable considering the circumstances. We were also given a room upgrade.Lovely roof top deck-great pool area and view of the Acropolis. The whole hotel smelt of stale cigarettes.

The hotel offers a good breakfast in the morning, people are friendly and the absolute plus of the hotel is the rooftop terrace with nice views over the city. Its a perfect place to releax. My stay was for business purposes and therefor expected 2 cartons to be delivered by dhl at the hotel. Although I was not there at the moment of delivery, acceptance of the good was arragend perfectly by the people behing de front desk. Perfect! Althoug the hotel is not very old, the rooms really need to be refurbished. This really was disapointing. Specialy the bathroom. The bathroom smells and due to the the fact that water is leaking when teaking a shower, the wooden bathroom door is havely damaged. Also towel rack was broken. The carpet in the room need to be changed. I took a milkshake at the roof terrace and had to pay Euro 8,95 what really is expensive. The area around the hotel is not very atractive and seems to be unsafe. Personly the area was not a problem for me. In front of the hotel is a nicce restaurant with tipacle Greek platters.

Friendly staff and very good breakfast, it is located a bit far from the center but is right next to the sightseeing stop. This is not a five star hotel, needs urgent remodeling and the corredor carpets have a smell that is very unpleasant. We had a quiet room (facing the interior) but it had a huge crack on the bathroom ceiling and it was dripping right next to a lamp, so we asked to be moved and to lower the rate, they moved us to a suite which was nice but it was facing the street, very noisy and we couldn't sleep.

Excellent value for money, luxury, spacious modern rooms. Stayed on the 8th floor and enjoyed a beautiful view over the Acropolis from my room. Beautiful decoration, excellent bed and shower... simply perfect. Do visit the big pool on the last floor and the trendy pool bar. Will definitely return!
