The host is super helpful and friendly. Available at all times when we need him and email replies quickly! Faultless!! We enjoyed our stay very much!

We booked the sea view apartment which is upstairs, spacious, simply but comfortably furnished with a wonderful view of the sea and Spinalonga Island both from the large balcony and the lounge. The kitchenette is small but has everything you need for simple meals. The owner, Manolis, could not have been more helpful, kind and caring, throughout our six night stay. Anything we asked he had a solution, including a replacement phone charger when ours broke. The apartments are in the centre of Plaka which is a delightful village with several tavernas and cafes. Spinalonga Island is very interesting to explore for half a day. Plaka is a short drive through Elounda to Agios Nicholaos and many places of interest a little further afield.

The owner, Manolis, is extremely friendly and eager to do everything he can to help you. The apartments are reasonably priced and regularly cleaned.

Manolis, our host, was charming. He gave us advice on the area, his 'phone number in case we had a problem and brought us his own olive oil. Equipment in the apartment was basic (though it now has a bottle opener!) but adequate. Nice balconies to sit on and everything we needed. The villas are well-located just across the road from the beach and the boats to Spinalonga and next to the village car park.

The best thing about Athina Villas is the owner, Manolis. You'll need to go a very long way to find a more helpful and generous host. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable and ideal for holiday use. I'd particularly recommend the top apartment with views over to Spinalonga.

The location of the accomodation was perfect. We were very close to the supermarket, beach and local taverna's. Manolis, the owner of the apartments made our stay extra special by making sure we had everything we needed and more. We would have no hesitation at recommending Athina Villas to our family and friends, We had a wonderful stay.

Outstanding hospitality of the host,comfort and cosy rooms, very good localization in the center of Paka village just opposite to Spinalonga.

Perfect place to stay. Manolis is proberly the most conserning manager in hole Crete. The sunrice over the island of Spinalonga is fantastic ;-) Nice quiret town in evening ( there is still plenty taverna's to visit ) becauce most tourist in Plaka are "day-visitors". We recommend this place to everybody ;-)))

Great modern bright, large well equipped studio room ! Manolis the owner was a great bloke !! Very helpful and friendly, he gave us raki and olive oil from the mountains !! When we left something behind he sent it to us at our next location via a local bus !! Lovely location opposite Spinalonga island !!

Tout d'abord l’accueil du propriétaire, adorable, c'est déjà longuement commenté sur ce site, tout est vrai. L'upgrade gratuit pour le grand appart au dessus et la vue magnifique. La grande terrasse, la vue et la proximité de restaurants, magasins, etc. Très pratiques. Le gérant est très serviable et nous a offert des petits souvenirs pour rentrer à la maison !

Rien avoir avec Athina Villas mais à proximité, restaurants pour touristes avec personnes qui vous harcèlent pour aller manger là, et au niveau prix véritable arnaque par rapport au reste de la crête ! Donc n'hésitez pas à aller à Athina mais vaut peut être mieux aller manger un peu plus loin au resto ou bien cuisiner dans la super cuisine de l'appart !

It is a simple yet very nice complex of apartments central to the village of Plaka. There is a mini market just next to it for all necessities.

Merci beaucoup à Manolis pour son acceuil chaleureux sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. L'appartement était trés spacieux, belle tarrasse dans un petit jardin pas en bord de route.Belle salle de bain fonctionnelle et trés jolie chambre. Vraiment à recommander.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso Athina Villas in agosto 2012.E'un posto veramente delizioso.L'appartamento con 1 camera a piano terra era confortevole e nuovo.Manolis,il proprietario,come già evidenziato in altri giudizi,è molto gentile,dà buoni consigli sulla zona,dove andare,cosa vedere.Siamo stati molto bene.

Piccoli dettagli:necessiterebbe qualche utensile in più in cucina se si intende cenare in casa.Materassi letto matrimoniale leggermente scomodi.

Très bien situé, en dehors des gros complexes touristiques d'elounda Manolis, le propriétaire, est tout simplement génial. Sympa, attentionné, il donne de très bons conseils et nous a même conduit jusqu'à une petite taverne de son village natal. Idéal pour aller sur l'île de spinalonga. Merci Manolis : )

I think Manolis is the strong point of Athina Villas . He is there to help you with information ,suggestions and what ever else you need . He welcomes you with juice and water in your fridge and he say goodbye with his gifts . The appartments are value for money even those which are not renovated yet.

great location, comfortable room, free wi-fi, well stocked kithenette, Manolis the owner is always available friendly and efficiently present! The only place to stay in Plaka and enjoy the area and the cretan sea! Will definately be back:)

Direi che è stato tutto ottimo, a partire dalla disponibilità e super gentilezza di Manolis, fa sentire ogni cliente unico. La pulizia è ottima e comunque per qualunque problema o informazione potevi sempre contare di Manolis, penso di non essermi mai trovata meglio. Il luogo è molto vicino a varie altre località turistiche, la spiaggia vicino alla struttura non è la tipica spiaggia greca, ma basta spostarsi di pochi chilometri, e più esattamente sulla penisola di Eluonda alla spiaggia di Kolokitha e trovi il paradiso. Spiaggia con sassi da un lato e di sabbia dall'altro lato e mare che sembra una piscina. Fantastico. Consiglierei a chiunque sia la strutture che il luogo.

situation tres calme et reposante, location tres propre dans un environnement agreable, avantage certain en pleine chaleur d'aout de la cliimatisation, petite terrasse a l'ombre pr manger le midi. seul hic la plage de galets... mais il y en a d'autres de sable un peu plus loin .

Hotel très agréable car familial. Le propriétaire est charmant et plein d'attentions.Le ménage est fait tous les 2 jours, avec changement des serviettes et draps...Le village est suffisament animé avec tavernes,superette et café sans être bondé de touristes. Nous sommes restés 3 semaines et nous y reviendrons sûrement car nous passons nos vacances chaque année en Crète.

Mi e' piaciuto tutto.La sistemazione alloggiativa , l'accoglienza, la posizione e l'ospitalita' sono stati eccellenti.

La posizione di assoluto relax si coniuga perfetamente con la posizione strategica che la struttura offre, infatti ci si trova di fronte a Spinalonga a cinque minuti di macchina da Elounda, e a cinque minuti a piedi si trova una piccola spiaggia di ciottoli bagnata dalle limpide acque del mare, l'accoglienza del proprietario è squisita per qualsiasi informazione o esigenza vogliate sottoporgli. Infine siete vicini, otto minuti di macchina, dal tipico villaggio cretese di Fourni ove si trova una Taverna di piatti tipici locali veramente pregevole "Platanos" con prezzi molto convenienti Un consiglio, per risparmiare tempo provenendo da Heraklion, uscite alla seconda indicazione di Neaples, giunti sul cavalcavia a dx, in fondo a sx, quindi sempre dritti per Kastelli, Foundi ed infine Plaka
