Very good location for visiting the city. Kostas the receptionist is really born to do this job and he provided a lot of useful info with passion. We followed his recommendations and his advice to do the city tour (cultural route) with bus no 50 was wonderful. The room was clean and big enough for a family in vacation. The bathroom has no window and no fruits for the breakfast.

The staff is EXCELLENT! The location is good - 10 minutes to main square, it's great budget hotel. - The comfort, the rooms are small, and the bath is very small. Our room was right above the bus station and it was a little bit noisy.

Location Noisy; Bathrooms are either in the very room or if the bathroom is separate there is no window in the room with fresh air access thus the atmosphere in the room is not pleasant

The staff not only was incredibly friendly but also helpful. The location was in the center of the city and was easy to get to from the airport. The only problem was how thin the walls are so be careful of your volume because everyone will be able to hear you.

my room faced the back so was very quiet, and the location is within walking distance of the train station and all the major sites. The manager, Constantinos, was very generous with his assistance on travel planning. a lot of people waiting outside for the local bus

Helpful front desk that i think owned the hotel. Good selection of breakfast. Looked after our bikes well and gave us lots of advice. really close to the centre of the town. The room was a little small and dark but really good value for central Thessaloniki. It was great value so we cant really complain.

The people at the reception are wonderful and very helpful and they offer a considerably good breakfast, nothing exceptional but better than most budget Greek hotels would. The location of the hotel is also excellent. It is at a walking distance to all tourist sites, close to all restaurants and cafe, about 15 mins stroll to the railway station, and the bus-stop right at the door, with excellent connections to the express bus for the airport. But the rooms are very dark and gloomy. The colour of the room walls further darkened the room. One did not feel like staying there at all. The window in our room opened to the backyard of the hotel, almost a dead end with nothing to see. Then, the flush in the bathroom was not working properly. It was not so bad as to contact the hotel people, but at the same time very irritating to flush thrice or four times before the toilet pan was adequately flushed. Then, the bathroom does not have any shower curtains or enclosures which results in the floor getting wet every time. There is no exhaust fan inside the bathroom only a small window. There is no place to keep the soap bar/shampoo while bathing. The wifi is steady but available only at certain points in the room, so it affects the over-all mobility. These niggling issues can create problems. If budget is your primary concern, then I advise all future travellers to come here. Else, try out other options.

I have truly enjoyed Hotel Atlantis and can recommend it without any hesitation to anyone who does not look for a snobbish entourage but can appreciate real hospitality and value for money. The Hotel benefits from excellent location in the City Center, good rooms and clean bathrooms. The difference is made by extremely helpful and welcoming staff. When you check in the Hotel, please say hello to Konstantinos, listen carefully to his advice, and it will help you to enjoy Saloniki more. Special credit should be given to breakfasts in Atlantis and its cook: food is super fresh and delishious. Service is friendly and of highest standard. I can only compare this breakfast to those I had in hotels in Germany, if you understand what I mean. Travellers from North America would not necessarily enjoy this food as much as we did. And remember, this is just one star hotel! Nothing

The best value for money hotel ever stayed at. Family ran for years, as we learned by the owner, the details very well taken care of. Very clean rooms, bathroom and sheets, comfortable beds. very friendly staff. Beautiful building renovated with respect to the original arty decoration. Renovation was completed 2 years ago. A bit weird surroundings, used to be a dodgy area, but the last 2-3 years has turned to be the new trend in the nightlife of the city. Overall a very satisfactory stay, we were positively surpised by the value for money experience. Will definately become our first choice when visiting the city again. Small rooms, though not a problem for us (two friends visiting the city, not spending a lot of time in the room). The rooms facing at the back have a rather ugly view and are dark, but were very quiet, so not a problem again. No elevator but can ask for a 1st floor room. In general the "cons" are not at all a problem considering the pros of the hotel.

The guy at the front desk was fantastic-helpful, polite, funny. He was the first person in 10 years of traveling in Greece that someone at a hotel was so outgoing, it really left a great impression of the place. The location was nice, central but the room was very quiet. Remodeling job was quaint.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and had a great knowledge of the city and its attractions. Note that if you check in late at night the staff on the night shift at the reception does not speak English. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and there is a very good delicatessen right next door. The room was small but had everything I needed. Everything was clean. The shower room was a wet room but was fine and the water was warm which is better than some budget hotels ive stayed in before. Breakfast was very good for the price. The buffet included bread with various spreads, cheese, ham, tomatoes and cucumber, baguettes, bread with cream cheese and tomatoes, wraps, Greek yoghurt with honey and a delicious cherry syrup, cereal, cake including a wonderful apple pastry, coffee, tea, orange juice, and, if you ask, the staff will cook you a fried egg. The rooms only window faced a brick wall about 2 feet away but I wasn't really bothered as I only used the hotel to sleep. My room was up three flights of stairs and there's no lift but again not a problem. The hotel is quite well located for bars and restaurants but the main sites were at least a 10 minute walk, and the white tower is over 1km away. If your ok with the walk head to the sea first and walk along there as its much more pleasant, otherwise you will need to take a taxi.
