Atrion Hotel  

We only stayed one night at the Atrion hotel but hope to visit again. We had booked a standard double room but were upgraded to a suite on the top floor which was beautiful with far reaching views over the city to the sea and the mountains. The staff were all very helpful, especially the receptionist and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was around just around the corner for 6 euros a day. The hotel is well situated for the city just 2 minutes walk to all the shops and the sea. We had a delicious meal at a taverna on a square nearby recommended by the receptionist. Definitely a great place to stay in Heraklion.

We are satisfied that we chose this Hotel. The room was excelent and clean and with comfortable beds. Breakfast was very tasty, good variety of food. We would recommend to our friends and we would like to stay there one more. The Hotel is in a good geographical place of city and very comfortable with those who Are with a car

Only problem was that the safe didn't work in the room and some small problems with internet.

thw woman at reception, Mary, who greeted us was exceptional. she was friendly and extremely helpful - they had to upgrade us to a suite and she called our car rental company for usand arranged for them tocome and pick up the car, saving us from having to return it to the airport and find our way back tothe hotel. we had a verydifficult time finding the hotel and were extremely frustrated, but Mary was charming! the hotel was very adequate - we just needed to overnite in order to catch the high speed the next day to santorini. there were no tickets available, but when questioned about whether we should go down in the morning and see if we could get on, Mary said, why not? go an hour early and see. we were only 40 minutes early, there were 6 people ahead of us and we managed to get on, thanks to her good advice. best, Steen and lillian

difficult to find when driviing!

We had been before and had been satisfied we even noticed serious enhancements good location

The aircon was ok, the beds were good, the shower excelent.We could use the towels in the beach and they were changed for fresh ones. Tv had many channels. Water was for free in the fridge. The staff provided all information necessary for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was included.

I booked because it said four beds and not a double bed and a sofa because I have adolescents kids and it is difficult for them to sleep together in a sofa... But I was given a double plus a sofa! Family room...I Tried to change my reservation but was shown a worse bedroom so I decided to stay in the first one.The day we departed we had to leave early and they offered us the possibility of a smaller breakfast at seven. We accepted but the man responsible for the breakfast was really rude when we appeared at seven and told us that breakfast started only at seven thirty. The lady at the reception talked to him in greek and we could notice he was not nice towards her. My husband decided to leave before further embarassments could occur.

The rooms are very comfortable and the personnel is very helpful; the breakfast buffet is outstandingly complete and good.

The hotel qualities are superb. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful. The best breakfast I got in Greece. It's an oasis of beauty and peace in a horrible and chaotic town like Heraklion.

Location is great. Right in the center of the village.

Room was way too small. You can hardly move in the bathroom.

The breakfast was excellent and the location very handy.

The hotel is a bit dull in terms of decor but is clean and comfortable.
