Hotel Attiki  

This is a welcoming hotel with wonderful character and outdoor garden patios and a excellent location for exploring the old city of Rhodes. It is surprisingly quiet between market streets and the fabulous archaeological museum. The staff are great.

Size of the bed

Simply fantastic, perfectly located, very clean and with nice common areas. The staff was very helpfull!!

Mara anda Francesco were wonderful, kind, friendly and very helping. Their recommendations worth a big thank.The location of the hotel is perfect. It is inside the castle that is in the lively center but still quiet. Easy to walk from the ferry port. The breakfast in the garden was a very good begining to the day.

The friendliness and hospitality of our Italian hosts stand out as exceptional. From Mara I could learn a lot about the built cultural heritage of the Mediaeval town center, and the challenges of preserving it. The hosts themselves made the effort to renovate this heritage protected building, using mostly traditional technologies. The thematization of the rooms after famous writers is a good idea, although it is a pity that only Western European authors are acknowledged this way. The decoration of the rooms is a bit excessive towards the cute and homey direction, perhaps less would be more. The small balcony overlooking the garden is a great place to sit around -- to read, write, or simply contemplate. Breakfast in the enclosed courtyard is a must, with a good selection of no-nonsense food, but you have to deal with the cats who pretend to be hungry to catch your attention.

Perhaps the bed was a bit bumpy and uneven.

All the staff - Mara, Francesco, Gabriele and Rafaela - were excellent. They were very friendly, helpful and responsive to any requests. All recommendations for restaurants were excellent, especially Boukia Boukia for lunch and Odysseus for dinner. The terrace garden was an absolute gem: a delightful place to have breakfast, a cup or tea or drink in the evening or just to sit and read. It was also a great place to meet the other guests and have a chat at the end of the day. The location of the hotel is perfect, just inside the walls of the medieval city, and one street away from the Street of Knights.

The hotel has been obviously created with love by Mara & Francesco. It has a lovely ambience about it and the location is ideal for those wishing to be out of the hustle and bustle of the old town area. Mara is a beautiful hostess,very hospitable and is willing to assist whenever necessary including booking, transporting,posting mail etc. The rooms are creatively decorated,small but function well and bed very comfortable. The breakfasts were generous in selection and a perfect way to start the day in the lovely garden restaurant. We were very happy and satisfied with our stay at Hotel Attiki and it certainly added to our stay on Rhodes.

We have just returned from a trip staying at Hotel Attiki in Rhodes. Mara and Francesco were wonderful hosts and where extremely helpful and made us feel very much at home. From great recommnendations of what to see, restaurants or just helping us to get great rates for hiring cars nothing was too much. The breakfasts in the gardens were also lovely. Our children loved the cats and commented that they missed Mara and the cats after we had left! Thanks for a wonderful time! The Turner Family.

Mara-our host-, her family&staff, the Attiki were all very warm in attitude & excellent in service, as well as the rest of Rhodes. Thanks Hotel Attiki very much for making this brief visit well above expectations at all aspects. This turned out not only buying a room at a very fine small hotel but also having the services of a personal travel advisor. We felt sure we made the best of our limited time based on the personalized recommendations of Attiki and are surely planning to go back some time soon. The room was spacious and clean, the host was perfect, so was the location, cannot fault this hotel.

The location and character where great. Mara is a fantastic host, nothing was to much trouble for her. We really enjoyed our stay there. Would stay again.

Our downstairs bathroom had a musty odour, a larer extractor fan may help.

Mara is fantastic! She is very lovely and helpful. Even though we just stayed one night, we got a warm welcome on our arrival and a lovely goodbye present as a little reminder when we left. After knowing what we were looking for (dinner, sight seeing) she gave us good advice tailored to our taste. Thank you very much.

Mara was a fantastic host - she is friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The treats in our room for our honeymoon was a lovely gesture. The location is great - right in the heart of the old town.

It is very hard to fault. If I had to say something they could improve on, it would probably be that the pillows could be a little better, and perhaps the coffee at breakfast could be espresso, rather than Nescafe.

The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and go beyond what you expect from hotels owners to help with anything you may need. Mara found out the time for our return ferry was wrong and got it fixed. The location was excellent, right in old town and near everything. Nice cozy breakfast area. We would definitely stay there again, even over 5 star hotels.

I suggest it to everybody who wants to wake up in the magic atmosphere of the old town of Rodhos. You will also find very friendly owners, Mara and Francesco, who will help you with everything you need: map with useful information, trips suggestion, car rental and taxi services; you literally haven't to think about anything else than enjoy your stay!

A wonderful old place full of character and charm would recommend it to anyone

Mara the owner/manager and her husband were fantastic. Any question was answered. Any service within their power was provided. They were very friendly and full of energy. The room was small but clean and the building within the old town walls felt like a castle. Our room had a balcony and that was a nice feature. The location was excellent, close to everything within the old town and the marina area. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes town.
