Avalon Hotel    

Beautiful, modern, great food, super clean rooms, and close to airport. The staff, like 99% of all Greeks, was amazing!

The room was very clean, it was a cheap basement room, which really means ground floor because the reception is on the first floor. Its was very nice, luxury really, very roomy, flash bathroom. The blonde girl at the bar restaurant was really lovely and chatty and helpfull.

The pool was empty after the date that it was meant to be up and running. The young man at the front counter was snooty and looked down his nose at us, and said " dont expect internet, you are down in the cheap rooms"

Well positioned to get to the airport, and I can't think of any other reason that you would want to be in Thessaloniki. Room comfortable enough and light enough even though I had a basement room; but basin in bathroom blocked and one bedhead light did not work- such things should be checked when the room is prepared. Tv reception does get bbc world news, a rarity in Greece. Cooked breakfast if you want it. Would stay again for proximity to airport.

The fact that the Avalon Hotel is very close to the airport, and that they allow us to leave our car in their car park for our short trips back to England, as well as providing a free transmit service. Other ex- patriot residents in Greece recommended you to us for this reason, apart from anything else.

My room, although quite inexpensive, was very spatious and comfortable. It was described as a basement room, nevertheless it enjoyed plenty of natural light. The hotel was very quiet - an ideal place for relaxing after a busy day. The breakfast was quite nice. Overall, I found Avalon to offer excellent value for the money.

It is not very easy to find one's way to the hotel.

Very close to the airport and only a short taxi ride from the Chalkidiki bus terminal. Rather silent. We arrived at 3am and slept until 11am.

It was convient for the airport as we were meeting for a wedding

Faulty lock on bathroom door - room 203. Also lack of air freshener in room.

Nice place to stay there at night or weekend. It's close to the airport and this it the main reason we choose it. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Breakfast is tasty.

close to the airport, not recommended if you want to visit the city of Thessaloniki. I would probably go back again if it is for a terrible early departure, or late arrival at the airport.

this hotel got downgraded in 2012 from 4 star to 3 star hotel by the greek national tourism organisation! It is actually a high 2 star hotel. bathroom not really clean and breakfast quite poor with low quality food.

The restaurant was lovely

Te reason I chose Avalon was from the pictures on the website yet on the day/night of my stay there was a function and the lovely pool and garden were closed to hotel guests and loud music played most of the night making sleep quite difficult. If I were ever to stay there again, I would make sure there wasn't a function booked in at the same time

Good for one night stop over on our way to Thasos. Close to airport and shopping centres in outskirt of Thessaloniki.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend; perfekt ist der Hol- und Bringservice zum Flughafen. Das Frühstück ist sehr üppig.

An der Reception stimmt die Einstellung, was die zeitliche Terminierung für einen intern organisierten Transfer (z.B. zu ÖV) nicht ganz.

La ubicación, muy lejos de la ciudad, difícil de encontrar, en medio de la nada Las habitaciones con fuerte olor a tabaco a pesar de haber solicitado habitación de no fumador
