Avalon Hotel  

Location is very close to the airport of Thessaloniki. The room was excellent (rather spacious, well and classic furnished, cozy bathroom with all needed). The hotel in general seemed rather well-looking, the staff was very friendly and helpful. As we had our flight early in the morning, they arranged a breakfast especially for us.

We stayed for 1 Saturday night and the was a wedding celebration in the pool area. So till 3 A.M. we could hear music despite the fact that our room was on the ground floor and windows went on the other side of street. That was the only minus.

A free transfer offered on website to/from airport, but don't mention it finishes at 1800 after which 5 minute taxi ride is eur11 The hotel advertises as 4* but is actually 3* going to 4* and the hotel facilities do not yet reflect 4* status Their economy rooms are described as basement rooms. They would be better to sell them as lower ground as they are not underground

Great value for money, close to the airport (less than 2 km) Clean rooms, friendly and helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast with traditional Greek specialties! Free shuttle bus to the airport (although please keep in mind that it operates only during daytime hours, at night you can take a taxi or walk if you have GPS)

Swimming pool outside was out of order although it was late October so it was too cold to swim outside anyways (probably that's why it was closed)

I liked the fact that we could check in very late as our flights into Thessaloniki were arriving very late, and that it was near the airport. The main reason i booked it. The staff seemed friendly enough, and we had only planned to stay a few hours overnight and leave early in the morning but one of our bags got delayed on the flight so we stayed in Thessaloniki a few extra hours and appreciated being able to sit near the pool and checkout at 12:00 though late checkout times seem common at other hotels nearby, some even until 14:00.

It was a little hard to find. Couldn't find the address on the satnav (no street names apparently), and eventually we just asked a friendly cab driver at the airport who gave us directions well enough to get us there. Was a bit surprized to have to handover 1 passport for each room we booked, but the person behind the desk promised to keep them safe along with all the other passports spread across the front desk... While going to our rooms in the basement we came across some naked people wondering in the hallway, which was a bit of a surprize, but could happen in any hotel I guess and not necessarily a negative, and there were noisy people (maybe the same ones) in the hallway until quite a bit later apparently. Personally, once in bed I fell asleep instantly.

The hotel staff is so friendly and helpful; room was very comfortable; no objections!

The hotel is far away from center, but we knew that before we decided to book that hotel.

Vi bestemte oss for hotellet P.G.A. kort avstand til flyplassen, som følge av alle streikene den siste tiden, ville vi har kort avtand til flyplassen. I tillegg hadde vi lyst til å se på Shoppingsenteret; Cosmos, som ligger like ved.Hotellet er å anbefale for de som vil bruke dette I forbindelse med å ta et tidlig fly neste morgen , da de har transport til flyplassen. I tillwgg var frokostbuffeten bra. Og de hadde hyggelig betjening , som viste stor service.

Ikke mye negativt, men det var en del "små" innsekter på rommet, samt at dusj-hodene skulle vært gjort bedre rent, de var "grønne" av kalk eller ligningende. Og at vi I respsjonen ikke fikk noen kart over området, som kunne vist muligheter for buss O.L. til sentrum av Thessaloniki.

чистотата и комфорта покриват категорията на хотела.хотела е близо до летище македония в солун-1500 м.много е удобен, когато се ползва самолетен превоз до островите.

подходът до хотела от магистралата за летище македония и халкидики е доста сложен. няма достатъчно указателни табели и може да го намерите само с питане.когато ви покажат пътя веднъж-нямате проблеми. информацията за безплатен паркинг е относително вярна, ако за паркинг се счита поляната пред двора на хотела!!!не ми стана ясно защо трябваше да паркираме от вън, когато двора на хотела бе почти празен???

Hotel vicinissimo all' aeroporto e alla stazione degli autobus. Le camere al secondo piano sono belle e silenziose. Staff gentilissimo. Vi abbiamo soggiornato soltanto una notte e la sua posizione per noi, io sola con due bambini, era perfetta.

Sjajno osoblje, bazen, odlicna hrana. Blizina velikih trznih centara (Cosmos, IKEA...)

Tesko za pronalazenje, najbolje je ukoliko imate navigaciju da ukucate koordinate. Relativno visoke cene u caffe-u.
