Good location, friendly staff. In general, pretty much get what you pay for in terms of facilities, quite dated and nothing special, but all functional.

Shower was a luke warm trickle of water, hardly suited to the task of washing!

The location was very good for our needs and the staff could not have been more friendly and easy going. Their English was very good and there was no problems with language barriers The room was clean and tidy and had all the basic amenities that we required. This is the 3rd time we have stayed there and will quite happily stay there again on our next trip in March 2013

Friendly welcome. Clean, basic room. Well-sited on the waterfront for access to island ferries and restaurants, as well as the centre of Volos.

Location Ideal Rooms basic but very comfortable

We stayed at Avra for one night as a stop-over and we were quite satisfied, with the money we paid. The hotel is basic of course, but it's decent, clean, just what you need for one night if you don't want to spend more and only go there to sleep comfortably. The staff was very nice !

Hotel staff are friendly. There is a bus stop close to the hotel, so it's convenient to reach Portaria by bus.

The hotel isn't near the bus station, but it's not a big problem.

Close to the port and great stopover on your way to Skiathos, Skopelos or Alonissos

I rarely comment on staff. But I've been really amazed here and I apreciated their approach very much. Really treated me well. Internet worked. I could check out later than were the hours with no charge.Not a five star hotel, but very decent for a stayover. Thank you.

We stayed at Hotel Avra the night before the ferry to Alonnisos. Location was a quick 10 minute walk to the ferry so it was perfect. The staff at Avra were very nice, professional and everyone spoke English which was a huge bonus for us. If I was in Volos again, I would definitely stay here.

An excellent budget hotel with very good facilities for a budget. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will use this hotel again and again.

Although this could never be described as 5 star, the welcome and friendliness of the staff merits such a rating. So helpful, lovely clean hotel, very convenient for shops, ferries, restaurants. Highly recommended.

lo staff è gentilissimo e disponibile. la qualità prezzo è ottima ed è in una zona perfetta, di fronte al porto e vicino alla stazione dei bus.

μυρωδια,φτηνα απορρυπαντικα, παλιο, μη ανακαινισμενο, δεν ειχε ουτε αφρολουτρο, νερο με χαμηλη πιεση, δυσκολα ρυθμιζομενη βρυση, μετριο πρωινο.

Εξαιρετικά ευγενικό και γλυκό προσωπικό , φιλόξενο .

Επιεικώς απαράδεκτοι σε θέμα καθαριότητας τουαλέτας. Η λεκάνη ήταν με ακαθαρσίες κατά την είσοδό μου στο δωμάτιο.

όλες οι πετσέτες που βρήκαμε κατά την άφιξή μας στο δωμάτιο, ενώ φαινομενικά ήταν καθαρές, ωστόσο όταν τις ξεδιπλώσαμε βρήκαμε σχεδόν σε όλες τρίχες μαλλιών κολλημένες....

τα παντα δεν εχω κανενα παραπονο απλα θα προτιμουσα μπανιερα στο μπανιο αλλα δεν με πειραξε καθολου που ειχε μονο ντουζιερα, οι τιμες ηταν ικανοποιητικες και παραλιακο αφου εγω ειμαι απο ορεινη περιοχη μου αρεσει η θαλασσα
