Utmärkt centralt läge vid kajen i "gamla stan" och ändå avskilt från trafikbuller och andra störningar. Vårt rum som vätte mot väster hade utsikt över folklivet på kajerna, båtarna i hamnen och havet. Trångt badrum.

The situation in relation to the centre of Chania and the wonderful outlook from the sea view rooms. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast a really good visit - but... As with previous reviewers the shower room was the smallest we have ever seen and was actually difficult to use as one had to stand in the shower tray to open the door from the inside. It is the one thing that would stop us from using the hotel again. There was also a lack of tourist information available. I.E. During our stay there was the Olympic Flame in Chania, an Arts Festival and Cretan dancing in the market. But no info about theses events on display in the hotel.

The location is very nice, the lobby and breakfast are really good. Staff is super friendly! The room and bathroom are very poor: 2 small beds, (old) blankets, no place to sit down, extremely small bathroom, poor/ broken showerhead, not space to put anything in the bathroom except toothbrush, not everything was functioning. Compared to other hotels in this area this is really a low quality hotel!

Friendly reception staff, great breakfast with local food and fresh orange juice, clean rooms, view at the quiet edge of the old harbor, just 5 min walk from the old town. I enjoyed every moment.

The best part about the Porto Veneziano was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very close to a bunch of shopping and dining options. The two issues I had with the room were the beds and the room temperature. The beds were not comfortable in that they were hard. The hotel does not have ac, so it was difficult to get the temperature of the room down to a comfortable level.

Everyone was very friendly and helpfull.The position was beautiful,right on the harbour. If you want a new car when you hire,probably better to hire from the airport it will also save you the twenty five euros for a taxi to the center.

Location on the harbor is excellent. From the hotel, one can walk to all Chania's points of interest, restaurants and shopping. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was charming and the sunset beautiful. Excellent buffet breakfast....fresh squeezed orange juice much, much appreciated!! A winner!

The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble We asked for a kettle in our room and got one with no problem Breakfast was of a good standard with a lot of choice and everything was fresh Hotel was very clean and well kept Felt very welcome and valued Free parking close by. Receptionist advised us of where to park for free. Only two minutes away Fantastic view from our sea view room Good power shower with lots of hot water The hotel itself is not worth the 105 euros per night per room in itself But the location and the sea view if the harbour made up for this

Location on the harbor is excellent. From the hotel, one can walk to all Chania's points of interest, restaurants and shopping. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was charming and the sunset beautiful. Free in-room Wi-fi was convenient. We had asked for a double bed in our reservation, but got two separetely made twin beds pushed together. We know this is frequently the case in Greece, but had made a specific request. Bathroom, while clean, had a very small standup shower with a too-long and flimsy curtain that blocked the drain, causing no small amount of water to flow onto the bathroom foor. This meant we had to use towels to prevent a wholesale flood into the bedroom....

Scenic location with more than adequate comfort for a vacation. Excellent buffet breakfast....fresh squeezed orange juice much, much appreciated!! A winner! Design of bathrooms is way too cramped. Admittedly, this is a hard problem to overcome, but they should seriously rethink the design whenever they renovate the hotel in the future.

The location is perfect. We had a room overlooking the historic harbour. Very beautiful. Nice clean room. Very good breakfast. And of course nice and friendly staff. We did the Samaria gorge tour and we had to leave very early in the morning and they prepared breakfast for just the two of us at 05.30 in the morning!

The location of the hotel is definitely its major advantage: central, and nevertheless quiet. Despite it being so central, we could bring the car right in front of the hotel for the luggage, and then parking it within a fair walking distance - for free. The room is fairly simple, with no decorations. There are some small inconveniences that we could definitely live with, but you better know them in advance: 1. the shower is very tiny, and 2. the electricity is operated by the room key, so when you return to the room in a hot day, it takes a while till the air condition manages to cool it.

The old part of Chania city is a nice short walk away from the hotel. That means that you can enjoy the charms of that part of town without the noise of crowds and bars when you want to sleep! Parking a car is also easy since there are a number of public car parks nearby. The breakfast was excellent (better than most hotels in Crete) There was nothing that we disliked about the hotel - the two shortcomings it has (which did not bother us) are that the hotel does not have a swimming pool nor is it particularly near any beaches
