Some of the photos on booking.com show the wrong room. So the room we were shown didn't match the photos. The Owner didn't realize this but when we told him about it was very nice and offered us the room we thought we booked based on photos. I expect he will fix this soon.
Be aware that there is no reception in Lefkes, but only in Parikia. This is not a big deal as he will offer to meet you in Lefkes, but you need to go to Parikia or make arrangements by phone/email before arriving in Lefkes. If you want to pay with credit card you will need to stop by the reception in the Aegean Village in Parikia, which was not a big deal as it was very close to the port.
The Byzantino is a very cute, wonderfully remodeled boutique hotel and the owner, Mr Dimitrius (?), and his staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Meeting us by the bus station and taking our bags down by car while his staff escorted us.
Since we were the only guests he offered us a tour of all the rooms. There was clearly a lot of pride put into this boutique hotel, and it is beautiful, modern, and clean while still retaining the cycladic village charm.
The location is great, right near the church square with a great little cafe, and a short walk from the main square.
Staying in Lefkes is a great experience as you get to experience the village in the early morning and night when all the day visitors have left, and this is the perfect place to do it as you are in the middle of the village.
If you are with a family or just want an upgrade, the villa would be a fantastic option. Upgrading to the jr suite is also a great option as you get a large deck/veranda with a view of the church. The Jr. Suite is really just part of the villa so only one or the other can be booked and you have the same main bedroom and veranda.
We offered to return the key and pay at the office at his other hotel, Aegean Village, in Parikia, though he did offer to meet us in Lefkes to check out. When we arrived in Parikia after our stay he was very nice and offered us a friendly snack and glass of wine, as well as offered to hold our luggage for the afternoon.
Overall this was one of the nicest places I stayed in Greece and we would definitely stay here again, probably for a longer time, next time I come to Paros.
