The hotel is very nice. Our room (a suite) was clean and well-decorated. The view from our balcony was breath-taking and totally worth the money. The hotel staff was very friendly and patient with our questions. Not too much. If I have to name one thing, I would say the location is a bit remote (I.E., a bit far from the nearest town center) for people without a car (we had one so it was not a problem). I should also mention that in Santorini, it would be difficult to find a hotel with the same quality in town centers, and that it really makes sense to rent a car or at least a buggy (a kinda of motocar that is smaller and slower than a real car but good enough for moving around in Santorini).

The staff was superb. Maria at the front desk was amazing. Room floors felt a bit dirty. Not really walkable to Fira from hotel.

The view is the most amazing we have ever experienced! Couldn't get enough of it! The staff is very friendly and obliging and all speak English well. There is a very good breakfast incl freshly-squeezed orange juice and hot dishes as well as cold. The wi-fi was fairly good and free. Worked best in the lobby. There is a bit of a walk to the town of Fira but do-able. Also the hotel runs a shuttle service back and forth to the town on a regular schedule. This was the only European hotel that offered face-cloths.I Would recommend hiring a car as it greatly increases the number of of beautiful sites you can visit if you are lucky enough to be there for any amount of time. We were able to do this thru reception , right at the hotel. Wished the weather was hotter so we could swim in their beautiful pools, but we were there too late in the season

The view on the seaside from my room and anywhere in the hotel was amazing. Design of balconies provide privacy for most of the rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was not walking distance from the main town. The fee hotel shuttle was convenient but limited during the morning to one trip.

The views were great, Maria was very helpful, it was difficult to enjoy the hotel as from our 2nd day we had really bad weather . I would of liked coffee, tea & milk in the room. When the weather turned bad rain water came under the door.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lilium. From the wonderful service at the front desk (Maria & Anca) to the beautiful rooms and views. This place was a breath of fresh air from the poor or unfriendly service at other hotels. We used the shuttle service from the airport (20euros) to bring us to the villas, which was nice. They also offer free shuttles to/from the town of Fira, otherwise it was abt a 5euro taxi ride. Pool and views were the best part, but the bubbling small pool is not a jacuzzi (it's cold!) The kithenette in the room came in handy. Bartender was quite unfriendly and terse when we tried to strike up conversation about he drinks he was making. Was impatient and rude when taking our orders each time. Also, a microwave would've been nice

The view you see from the hotel is amazing. The hotel staff are very informative. They recommended some restaurants and tour packages to me which I found super cool. The hotel is a bit far from the Fira downtown, but they provide free shuttle bus.

Beautiful view of caldera from our room, nice pool and good restaurant. Excellent breakfasts. A 1/2 hour walk from Thira, though they provide a free shuttle service a few times a day.

Lilium Villa's staff made this an over-the-top experience for our party of 8 (4 rooms). To start with, this hotel is in a location with stunning views of the Caldera, complete with a magnificent sunset each evening. Views from the pool and restaurant area and from each of our rooms are to die for . Maria and the rest of staff were friendly, gracious and professional. They assisted us with restaurants, transportation and island activities. And they were always spot on. We chose two tours at Maria's recommendation and were blown away by each. One was a 5 hour personal guided tour of the island (tip to tip), and the other was a 4+ hour narrated cruise along the west side of Santorini, much of it in the caldera, with stops for swimming and lunch. We had a check in issue with one of our party who has trouble with too many stairs and required a room change. The communication between the night staff and the day staff resolved the problem by the next morning after our check in. Many thanks to them for that. Lilum is 2k from nearest town (Thira), but transport to an from was always easy and the hotel location is well worth the effort. Restaurant lunch and snack food is above average. All 8 of us would highly recommend Caldera's Lilium Villa. The hotel charges for transport from the port to the hotel (40 Euro for our party of 8). It is not very far and we think that the hotel would increase their public relations coefficient by offering free transport. Rooms 502 and 503 are least desirable because of the number of stairs (going down the cliff-side) that are required and because there is only a partial view of the caldera (still quite stunning unless you see what is available in the other rooms). Our party kept room 502 for only the one night. Breakfasts were adequate but not impressive. Dinner menu at the restaurant is quite limited but there are so many good restaurants in Thira...........

The view of the Caldera was beautiful. The shuttle service is terrific and regular enough. If you choose to walk into town it is an easy walk, albeit quite a distance. The hotel is happy with its key selling point - the view. Unfortunately it would be so much better if they paid greater attention to detail around customer service and welcome around the pool area and in the restaurant. Not the same wonderful hospitality we have experienced elsewhere throughout the Greek Islands. The front desk girls and Lucas the shuttle driver were fabulous but the rest was not memorable. Breakfast was terrible - cold food that should be hot even 10 minutes after the breakfast service time started.

Location was great and the views from the balcony were sensational. There was a shuttle into the town and it was nice to be out of the town and relax and see the sunset without hordes of tourists!!!! However the breakfast was very poor - regardless of the time you arrived for breakfast it was always cold and cold scrambled eggs and bacon is not a good start to the day. The staff were not willing to reheat the eggs and the impression was that it wasn't their fault which was a great pity since the hotel was lovely. If the breakfasts were made more palatable and the restaurant had a larger menu and faster service, people may choose to eat at the hotel. Waiting one and a half hours for a meal seems far too long!!!!

The outstanding view and that made the location perfect. Altho it was not in the centre that also made it nice since you were not in the main crowds...trust me the sunset from here at this time of the year was way better than anywhere else - sorry Oia - but it was a fact! As Santorini is not huge staying here was no issue. Breeakfast seemed a litte ordinary but otherwise fine. For a 5 star rating I was surprised there were no slippers!

The view of the Caldera from our room was spectacular. The room itself was clean, and with a simple but nice design. Amenities were good. The back of our room was facing the street. Despite the fact that the bed was located on the opposite side of the room as far away as possible from the entry door, we could hear somewhat cars/bikes passing by. This wasn't a big nuisance, certainly not to the level of impacting our mood or quality of sleep.

The view is totally unbelievable! In fact when I showed my kids on Skype they said it just didn't look real. The food was good, the pool was great, the barman was friendly and extremely efficient, the front desk was very helpful. 2 things missing - no tea making facilities in the room and no toast for breakfast. I'm sure they would have fixed both had we asked but we didn't bother. It was a bit out of town, not a problem if you hire a car. Taking taxis in and out of town and to Oia was a bit limiting but we managed. The advantage out of that though was the peace and quiet.

The view from the dining room of the sunset was truly incredible and I have seen many good sunsets in my day. It is a little outside of Thira (not walkable) but did have a courtesty shuttel that went in a few times a day. But not regularly. I was quite pricey, but the view demanded it.
