the room was absolutely clean and cosy, hotel is really close to the metro station (2 minutes away)and in the heart of the city and nevertheless quiet. perfect for a couple of nights. the room has an awful smell like cigarettes or mold, I'm not quite sure. And you can hear the flush of the toilet of the surrounding rooms every single minute. Also, it would be easier if the shower had glass and not a plastic curtain. |

The staff was nice and they helped a lot. I could do anything by walking because the main sights in Athens were close. You can also book some tours to other cities and the bus come and pick you up in front of the hotel. |

We were only at Cecil Hotel for one night but it was in a great location-easy to walk to the Acropolis and cafes with a great view of the Acropolis and Ancient Agora. We were two 23 year old girls traveling alone- so safety was important. We felt safe at Cecil Hotel and with the area. Would stay here again. |

Location to historical sites and shops. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Room facilities were better than expected, with satellite TV included. Car parking was advertised, as we arrived on a Sunday this was not available and we risked parking on the road until 07.00 am on the Monday morning. We then successfully moved the car to the nearby secure parking. |

The hotel staff was particularly polity and helpful and the nice classic architecture of the hotel makes it cute. The location of the hotel is fantastic just in the beginning of monastiraki next to the metro.Good quality breakfast. Perfect for rather quality budget stay. Convinient for families. For a 2 start hotel you wouldn't expect much. No variety in breakfast. Room cleaned and towles changed but the whole building need a heavy duty cleaning to take place and eliminate the smell (of cigarette remains?) in the corridor and the rooms. |

The old look of the hotel. Wooden floors, the marble staircase & the lift. We could see up to the Acropolis from our window. The location was good, interesting & lively area near markets. They moved us from a quite small double room to a larger twin room for the same price. Access to wifi though it didn't reach our room. |

The location was great for all the tourist attractions. The hotel was close to a major metro stop which made the comute to the airport cheap. The low price for the above mentioned perks. The bathroom and room were small but it was what I was expecting for the price. |

Very efficient and friendly receptionist when we arrived late in the evening. Gave good advice for parking our car beside the hotel. Good breakfast in a nice room.Very convenient location. Our room was on the 4th/last floor, which is located on the building terrace. It was awfully hot when we checked-in at night. Hopefully the A/C was working well ! We were welcomed by a cockroach in the bathroom, which otherwise was quite nice. Elevator only gets you to the 3rd floor, not very convenient with a baby and all his stuff... WiFi didn't seem to reach the 4th floor. |

The hotel is very centrally located and perfect for visiting the Acropolis and other major sights in Athens. The hotel staff were extremely helpful during my stay and helped us organise car rental etc.. I would recommend this hotel for someone coming on a short trip to Athens. |

The hotel location, near Monestariki Square and metro, was great. Walking distance to Acropolis. Staff was nice and helpful. Very small double room, bathroom impossibly small. Room sparcely decorated, very plain |

Within walking distance to all the tourist attractions, you will find Carolina Hotel. The hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation with a free breakfast buffet. |
Situated next to the old town hall, this family-run hotel has a fine location in the historic centre of Athens, with most attractions within walking distance. |
Situated in the heart of the city, in the attractive Plaka area, this hotel is a few blocks from Syntagma Square and next to the shopping area. Enjoy the magnificent view from the roof-garden. |
Completely renovated in December 2003, our cosy hotel is more than a conveniently located residence in the centre of Athens with stunning views; it is a home away from home. |
