The small and friendly Metropolis Hotel is located only 2 blocks from Syntagma Square and offers comfortable accommodations and Acropolis views.
Score from 773 reviews Very good
Located right under the Acropolis hill, Adrian Hotel is ideally located near all major Athens attractions. Rooms are elegantly decorated and feature private balconies.
Score from 779 reviews Very good
Centrally located in Syntagma Square in Athens, the Amalia Hotel is right across from the National Gardens. It features comfortable rooms with satellite and pay-per-view TV, and Wi-Fi internet access....
Score from 1996 reviews Excellent
A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located by the Temple of Olympion Zeus. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.
Score from 2203 reviews Very good
The location is very convenient. Most tours can do their pick up at Syntagma Square which is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Many interesting little shops around the hotel area. Close to Monastiraki and hence the eateries. We stayed in 2 different rooms for a total of 4 nights and they both had beautiful view of the acropolis. Very clean. We were on our honeymoon and the hotel left a little gift in the room to welcome us. Will use this hotel again if we ever come back to Athens.
Same breakfast everyday. Nonetheless all the other 3 star hotels that we used throughout our Europe trip were all the same. I must say Central Hotel has a much better selection than the rest.
1) Great location - close to main places of interest, steps from the airport shuttle, plenty of good restaurants around 2) Nice & very helpful staff 3) Descent breakfast with a varity of local ham, cheese, olives, fruits, yougurt and pastry. Lovely (though pricey) roof-top bar with a great view.
1) Very small room, does not feel like advertised 20 m2. The "view to Acropolis" turned out to be a side one, so you can see it only when you are right next to the window. 2) Poor soundproofing 3) Slow WiFi
The room size and location within the building. The staff was great providing us with great restaurant suggestions, ordering a car for morning pick up and efficient with check in process. The view from the hotel bar on the 7th floor is spectactular.
breckfast, room view, wi-fi, chocolates and the red heart-pillow on the bed for st. valentine, staff and location
bathroom and lift extremly small sheets sheets a bit stained
I always stay here.i can see the acropolis from the roof and sometimes from the room depending Which floor the room is located.
Not really.i do not have a bad experience.
The hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of most everything you want to see in Athens. The view from the rooftop bar just cannot be beat.
Very good location and room service.
Staff at reception are extremely slow. And the lift was not working properly for the duration of my stay...
Close to center
Too much heating and dry atmosphere
The hotel itself is nice and in a good location with lots of restaurants nearby , the main plaza close and the Acropolis within walking distance.Breakfast was great and the staff helpful and friendly
The one thing that ruined our stay was that the rooms were very hot due the heating being permanently on. It was winter but in Athens it wasnt that cold like Germany / UK / Italy so the heating made it too hot for us. Tried to use the aircon and that just put more heat out , we asked reception and they said that during winter the aircon only heats and doesnt cool so there was nothing they could go and they suggested opening the door. We slept with the door opened and we had mosquitos enter and bit us all night plus the sound of cats meowing kept us awake. The other small thing to mention was I paid extra for an Acropilis view but to see it you had to put your head out of the window and look right - so not really a view to be fair so not worth paying extra for.
Location v good, staff excellent, rooms very clean and new
Walls too thin, could hear neighbours all the time (even when tv on). Rooms too small, and back side of hotel (with view) quite noisy because school just below and children yelling
The room was very comfortable & great location
Only 5 mins walk from metro or buses from airport. Good breakfast ,WiFi good ,had Acropolis view room on 5th floor nice view. Room has fridge but no freezer but can get ice from roof top bar . Great view from bar on roof.
Lift is small . Like a dumb waiter but 6 feet tall . Only gets 2 people and a case in . If hotel busy have to take stairs
the beds r too small
Exelent location, close to most of the actractions. Great view on Acropolis from the bar on the roof.
Excellent value for money (60 euro per night for a standard double room in mid-January). Excellent location. Very good breakfast! Nice room and hotel decoration. Large and comfortable bed. Nice shower. Excellent Acropolis view from the terrace (must see!). I would definitely stay here again!
It has only one very very small elevator which obviously cannot serve all the people that are staying at the hotel. This is very irritating especially when you are carrying your luggage. The bathroom sink is very small making it very difficult to keep the water in the sink.. Rooms are not very spacious and are not soundproof. There was also a lot of humidity in the room.
Location Simplicity Value for Money Roof bar Good service
Bed a bit hard Small bathroom
Friendly staff, good breakfast, convenient location
We liked everything. Very good breakfast buffet. We surly come agian.
The hotel is very nice in a perfect location with a plus of a free parking. There is a lovely terrace with a great view on the Acropolis. The breakfast is ok nothing crazy but the location is really worth it for that price. I will strongly recommend this place.
Great location and the roof top bar is amazing with a nice view of the acropolis
Roof Garden Location Clean Staff
Soundproofing Small room for superior
good location. good staff, i saw 5 little cats from my balcony, while one of them fell from the roof, the staff from the hotel helped the little cat back to the family.
little small for the bathroom
Location, breakfast and staff
Too hot on the rooms give heaters couldn't be adjusted
Missleading hotel ad at booking.com. We paid double the price comparing to same quality hotels at the same street to enjoy the acropolis view from room. However room had no view, it was extrely tiny and very noisy (school yard just outside). Last but not least was the glass bathroom door -honestly that was equal to no door so forget privacy in the bathroom.
Proximity to center of the town. Very helpfool stuff. Good breakfast. Good wifi. Very clean.
Narrow area of bathroom. No remote control of tv in the loby. One elevaror for two and a half people.
