This was clean, comfortable, friendly, great location, roof deck, etc....very nice.
I had a perfect stay at this hostel! Everything was so clean, it was convinently located in the centre of athens close to a metro station. The atmosphere was also really good, it was easy to meet people. Breakfast was included and most of the staff was really friendly. I would recommend this hostel to anyone.
I like the location, the breakfast, the facilities, it was clean all the time, it's a very nice place near the most important places in Athens, its also a young and safety neighborhood. It's really easy to make friends, everybody is very polite.....I just loved it!
Excellent hostel all around, close to rail station and within easy walking distance of all the sights of Athens
The staff was friendly, the ruins nicely designed, the common area was fun, the roof terrace fantastic. Definitely good value for money.
The location was very good. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was satisfying. Staff was helpful.
I had hard time in sleeping because of the people coming and going to the room in the middle of the night but i guess it is the down part of staying at a hostel.
We liked the fact that the hostel was nearby the city center where all the nice and must-visited bars and cafes are located. It is a very inspired and well-designed hostel and the terrace has a great view!
a bit noisy location but it is something that we really enjoyed in the end.
All was gréât Staff , guest Worth to go there
their is no tv
Located in an area that is very convenient for exploring the city's historic sites, and also close to markets, as well as lots of restaurants and cafes. It's a very nicely decorated building, kept spotlessly clean, with very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious! There is a bar that is open till late and also serves pizza (very handy for when we arrived late and were too tired to go out to eat). Also, very reliable wifi, and I was allowed to use the hostel's laptop to print out my boarding pass for free = very helpful.
I asked for extra pillows and there were none available. There were also no real blankets or duvets, just thin sheets, which I guess works most of the year, but we were there at the end of October and I was rather cold at night. The social areas of the hostel are dominated by American college students on semesters abroad. While everyone was courteous, this might not be the place for you if you're looking for a more 'mature' environment or a real break from your own culture :).
Pretty much everything! Friendly staff, good social environment, clean, comfy, trendy decor, lovely artsy neighborhood.
I liked this place so much I stayed here on 3 separate occasions when I was visiting the surrounding area. Great group activities are hosted by the hostel. Beds are comfy, showers don't spill water everywhere which is a huge plus, and they include free towels and hair dryers. Definitely one of the better hostels I've stayed in when visiting Europe. The staff was always accommodating and one staff member even offered to give me a to go breakfast sack since I was checking out before breakfast was served! So sweet!
- The facility is really cool - Wifi is the best I ever got in any hotels - Environment is quite nice, easy to make friends - The view from the top-roof is amazing in the evening - The breakfast is more than enough, high value of money
Nothing too much, but it did take me a while to finally found it.
Great location! Awesome staff. Cool place to stay!!!
Really a wonderful hostel - had a great atmosphere, really did a good job of bringing travellers together. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Only downside is that they don't have a kitchen for everyone to use - they have a restaurant one for staff to cook meals. Honestly such a good place in every other aspect that it doesn't even matter.
Beautiful interior design, very large, comfortable beds, impeccably clean. Included breakfast was very nice. Situated in the popular nightlife area of Athens.
Not enough power outlets.
City Circus Athens is right in the middle of all the best places in Athens, walking distance to everything. Love this bohemian neighborhood, with it's street art, creative people and charming cafes/bars/restaurants. Felt safe at all times. City Circus is clean and quiet with one shower and toilet for each room, never had to wait to use either, which was great. Good atmosphere, met some really nice people. Breakfast was good, and I also loved the peaceful roof terrace with a view of the Acropolis. Direct connection with train to both port and airport. 5-10 min walk to City Circus from Monastiraki. Will definetly stay again!
Pleasant decor and incentive for guest to meet.
Circus City was described as a hotel, I paid a hotel rate, however the accommodation and overall facilities was not more than a pleasant backpack hostel. I spend two sleepless nights during my stay because of the inside and outside noise. Noise included heavily trafficked streets with drunken people, high volume music from bars until early morning and guests arriving late into the hostel. While the room was clean, the beds were in a loft not suitable for seniors or unbalanced people. Breakfast was simple.. Eggs were old/over cooked. We felt ripped off to have paid triple the price of what other guests had paid for the same service and comfort or lack of. The rating of this hotel obviously reflects the expectations of backpackers.
We spent our last night of our Greece trip in Athens and what a fantastic way to end our journey. City Circus's interior was beautiful, minimalistic, retro and stylish. We stayed in a corner double en-suite room, better quality and value for money than any hotel at a similar price range. The linen was crisp and clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The staff was very hospitable. Every night they have a social initiative for the guests to get to know each other or to explore the city. We had excellent snacks and breakfast made from local produce and suppliers from around the corner. The location is very convenient, but not too touristy, close to the metro, you can walk with your suitcase, it is close to major sightseeing sights, restaurants, even a selection of local restaurants that pop up in the street at night, convenient to explore by foot.
The location in the city center, the staff really helpul and nice, the place is really pleasant, the bed are very comfortable. The activities are good to meet poeple, and the rooftop is really enjoyable. You can eat there it's really cheap and tasty.
Depending on who you are with in the bedroom some poeple can be noisy (but not really the hotel fault)
We got to our room and we had a loft where our beds were and a couch downstairs with our own bathroom! There was also a rooftop terrace that you could sit and see the Pathenon from .. especially beautiful at night! Food was excellent.
Very noisy at night, the windows did not block much out at all.
City Circus is an amazing place to stay.Super clean, Super cute design, and they did my laundry for €7! Modern rooms and beds. Super comfy!! Great free breakfast (greek yogurt, fresh fruit, honey, jam, toast, boiled eggs, fresh squeezed juice, coffee tea) Wifi works perfectly through out the entire building. Owner host a happy hour meet and greet with a free glass of wine every Monday and Wednesday night. Excellent chance to meet the other people in the hostel! I took the cooking class the hostel offered and it was amazing!!! I highly recommend it! Nice and friendly staff! Cute bars and restaurants in the area
City Circus in a diamond in the rough. Great place but the neighborhood was a little sketchy at night. If your in a group you'll be fine!!
Small room, no towels, socket came out of wall with plug...
Not one single complaint about this hostel. Cleanest and coziest I've ever been in (I've stayed in 20+ hostels). Beds were cozier than my own! Such helpful, friendly, genuinely interested staff. Loved this place!
