Corfu Holiday Palace    

The staff couldn't do enough to help, without exception. The private beach was great. Good bar and waiter service by the pool. The breakfast very good (with plenty of fruit - couldn't understand other reviews which said there wasn't any). Bus service into town very good from outside the hotel.

My bedroom was a little dark and I would rather sit in the lounge than in the bedroom to read. It was, however, clean and in good repair. Parts of the hotel are tired looking and I would rate it as a four star and not a five star property.

Good pool and access to the beach. Selection of restraunts / cafe's within walking distance from the hotel.

Reasonable location for a short stay (2 / 3 days) but no longer. Couples focused. 20-minutes transportation time into Cofu town. Very close to the end of the airport runway.

The location is perfect, the view is amazing from the seaside.

Breakfast is too busy with people and the service is not perfect. There is no fresh fruit for breakfast, which is not acceptable for the rate of the hotel.

Overall the hotel was quite run down and in need of modernisation. Very expensive for what it was.

It is a 2 stars hote ( certainely not better)l, and we have the "guilt" to have and to love a 14 years old dog which has always traveled with us.We felt that we were the ones to travel with him and not him the one to travel with us. The rooms in the hotel was a fair dog shelter (I have seen better shelters).The room was dirty, with bad smell, no sun light, extremely old and broken furniture. It would be fair for them to tell that pets are not allowed ( even if they loose 1 star) than to accomodate people with pets in a closet.Very bad food for breakfast.

The location of the hotel is excellent - lots of greenery and quite close to Corfu town if you are by car. The rooms and balcony are specious. The room view (sea view) beautiful. The pool is big and nice, especially to swim just after it opens at 8 A.M. when there is no crowd... Starbucks cafe is within the hotel complex.

The hotel is deffinitelly not a five-star.It is worn and torn, although some of its old glamour could be seen. Breakfast is quite bad, the same every morning and you do not get any fresh salad (vegitables) or fruit. We often skipped breakfast and had brunch in the town or someplace else... The beach is small and not really very nice and the sea around is not very clear and clean. There are so many beautiful beaches around the island that it is a pity to stay even a single day around the Corfu Holiday Palace. Recommendadtion: rent a car or a motorbike and explore the beautiful island. Do not come to Cofu just to stay in this hotel.

nice location...best thing about the hotel was a tavern near by called Captain George...a local family run tavern...nice traditional food...extremely fast service...horrendous good looking lady waitress (T;T)...

Do not know where to start...first of the staff was horrible...it took more than 30 minutes for a concierge and the guy who came wasn't even paid to be one and he complained to us that it wasn't his job to be one hence him being late...the rooms didn't deserve a star...on the contrary they subtracted one... the cleaning ladies didn't swap towels but they just filed the same old ones..the towels were so old and so cheap that they were rough on the skin and they had rust marks on them...the hotel had 3 lifts which 2 out of 3 where our of work....the televisions in my room (245 the non-sea-view room) and in the lobby were the really old school television...no cable tv...free wifi but extremely low connection and it used to go off and you had to chase the wifi around the room...in other words...HORRIBLE...

We have stayed just for short stop, can't imagine holidays there:) Almost 3 or 4star services. It is old, clean, with one lift to the beach ( 4persons/1way). Beautiful view to MouseIsland.

The owners were very nice

If you are not between 17 and 25 you will not like this hotel or town. I left after the first day and lost my deposit for the other 3 nights.

Very tired hotel, would have been good in the 70's.....rooms clean and tidy but hotel / restaurant areas well, well below the 5* rating......

Cleaning of tables at breakfast in the restaurant was much to slow and inefficient - it took 25 minutes from we sat down at the table until it was cleaned and made ready for us, and it wasn't even wiped clean with a cloth, There were a lot of "free" tables as we came down to breakfast, bot none were made ready for new seatings. Therefore a low score at the rating of "service/facilities".

The food was ok - thats about all I can say as a positive

Awful service, absoulutely disgraceful rooms how this can be a five star hotel I have no idea - 3 star at best! All the facilitoes incur an extra cost and staff are unhelpful and even blatantly lied to us. Stay well clear - do not be fooled by the ex-hilton tag they use those days are long gone!

Forget about 5 stars. Barely 3. Building itself and rooms are just tired and unpleasant. We booked triple room but they actually don't exist, just twin with small additional bed. Breakfasts are awful, restaurant looks like canteen. Internet almost doesn't exist.

It was quite a long way out of Corfu town (definately not 5 minutes) and is in need of an upgrade. I'm sure at one time it was a stunning hotel but could do with being dragged into the 21st century!!!!!! I wouldn't class it as 5 star more like 3.

Excellently located in a beautiful spot in Corfu! Beautiful private beach. The kids loved the heated indoor pool when the weather was poor. This hotel must have been a gem many many years ago.

The hotel needs serious upgrading of its interiors and exteriors. It is tired and outdated. Not something you expect of a 5 star hotel. Our bathroom had an unpleasant rotten odor suggesting major water leakage. The breakfast was unimaginative although our children loved to have American pancakes every morning for a week! The staff just barely performed their duties.

Fantastisk udsigt fra værelserne (mod havet) samt nem adgang til strand nedenfor hotellet.

Det var umuligt at sove med åben balkondør på grund af evigt gøende hunde umiddelbart ved hotellet. Vi vænnede os aldrig til at sove med den brummende aircondition tændt.

Un ancen palace à la dérive... On se croirait un peu dans un vieil épisode de Derrick.

Lo único que me gustó del hotel fue su ubicación por estar cerca del aeropuerto, porque se podian apreciar los aterrizajes y despegues, y que tiene buena vista hacia el mar también.

Para empezar, esperaba encontrar un hotel de 5 estrellas y me encontré con uno equivalente a 3. Las habitaciones no tenían toallas apropiadas, estaban demasiado usadas. El servicio de mini-bar terrible porque los empleados entraban en momentos inapropiados en la habitación para revisar. En 5 estrellas será absurdo revisar el mini-bar, ¡deberían llenarlo gratis cada día! La comida en el buffet no tenía calidad y mucho menos variedad. En la playa debiamos pagar cada día por las sombrillas cuando las mismas pertenecian al hotel. Y más, no aceptaron cargar la habitación, ¡querían efectivo cuando estabamos de baño! Casi todo el personal era estacional, no estaba entrenado y eran muy pocos para tantos huespedes, aunque eran amicables y trataron de brindarnos un buen servicio.

Likte ikke at det var vegg-til-vegg teppe på rommet vårt samt at det stinket røyk uansett hvor mye vi luftet! Synes det burde vært billigere eller gratis å leie solsenger på stranden ettersom den tilhørte hotellet.
