Free breakfast, convenient location next to the subway, nice shower, friendly staff
Smoking in the public areas, small room, not so nice quarter of town (especially at night)
Excellent value for money. Clean rooms, friendly staff, breakfast included, and good location.
Good deal, good price, friendly staff, near subway station - next time I´m taking the hotel again!
Some people today are telling the district "Omonia" is not that good. Personally I have had no problems. But its seems to be true that you should avoid especially at night, to use the smaller (and dark streets) - it does not fel very comfortable. But this statement is true for most places and hotels that are not in the high-end price area.
The hotel have a good breakfast e elevator. Is near to metro.
The noise in my room, because many people talked loud in hall and in porch.
Price/value is very good considering that the hotel is in the center and a few minutes' walk from main important monuments. Do not worry about people around the hotel. It is safe with precaution.
Breakfast is poor, but bear in mind the price. Walls are very thin and sometimes noise can disturb you if you are sensitive against noise, but nothing serious.
Rates are attractive
room and bathroom are small neighbourhood is not so great
Very close to Omonia Metro Station and 1 stop away from nicer parts of Athens.
Very small rooms, even smaller bathroom - handheld shower in toilet cubicle made a mess. Room smelt like smoke.
close to the centre, supermarket nearby, good WLAN, stuff changed towels daily
No bedside lamp (so we always had to have the big roomlight on), when showering the whole bathroom gets floated (cause of the construction of the shower), breakfast (for the bread there was just butter and one kind of jam f.i.), seedy district, other guests were really loud during the night
After complaining the next day they give give us a decent room and the cleaner is very helpfull
The first night room is very small for double bed no space and no closet. Room is smelly though its clean, no kettle, no cups and saucers dringking glass which are basic needs in a room.
Clear wifi Near Ommonia Station
Near red light district location. Not suitable with family with children/elderly.At the night arrival from Port Piraeus, upon checked in the area was surrounded with police .
-- 150m from the Omonia metro station -- A lot of policemen could be seen in the adjoining streets (02.10.14-03.10.14). -- Luggage storage facility.
-- Was given room nos#211 which was a TINY room. It would be a toil for a healthy person to move about through the bed sides. Passage b/w the entrance door and bathroom is cramped with a cupboard. -- Basic breakfast, just 1 type of bread, butter, jam, boiled egg, diluted thin very sweet orange juice, apples, tea & coffee, cornflakes and milk (maybe this is so everywhere in Greece). -- Attached to this hotel is a sex-shop, not recommended for family stay.
Right near metro station but not the nicest part of Athens. Easy walk to square and close enough to Acropolis. Reasonable price for a room and clean.
Neighborhood was a bit sketchy but right near police station and police everywhere so felt safe enough. Breakfast could be better.
Just what I was looking for. When I used to work in Athens, I used to stay at the St. George Lycabettus. This hotel is not the St George Lycabettus. But neither are its prices. You get what you are paying for and a bit more, and helpful, friendly staff. Ok, outside there is plenty of Athens city centre grunge. If you don't like that, don't stay here. It so happens I do, so I'm more than happy.
Loo a bit squashed in. Breakfast typical of Greek hotels - not my taste but free / included. Orange juice demands immediate appointment with toothbrush. Otherwise - negative reviewers - get a sense of perspective!
I did not like the breakfast-room. It was noicy with uncomfortable chairs.
Great location close to metro and bus, decent breakfast, very clean room with super fast Wi-Fi and nice aircon. Hotel staff was very friendly and professional; kudos to Christina for giving us Athens sightseeing tips. I can easily recommended Cosmopolit hotel to anyone looking for decent and affordable accommodation in Athens.
The staff could not do more for us. We arrived early morning and was invited to a free breakfast while they got the room ready. Only stayed a couple of nights but it's a really good place.
Room was small and so was the bathroom, but it was clean and fresh.
great location, walking distance to everything!
beside the hotel, there is a X rated cinema, many strange men outside the hotel after dark, and police said it is not a safe area, but if you go back to your room early, then you should be okay.
Cleanliness, great breakfast, friendly and very helpful staff, modern, exceptionally clean, right next to metro but easily walkable to all of Athens. BETTER WIFI THAN AT HOME!
Very small room and no sunshine.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Was able to give us directions to good places to eat and places to go. Very clean. I felt very safe walking to the hotel at night. Very close to hop-on-hop-off bus stop (Maybe a 3 minute walk). A 3 minute walk to an amazing bakery. I could not have asked for a better experience nor a better price for what we got! Would stay here again if we ever made another visit to Athens.
Shower would flow into bathroom floor sometimes. Wifi went in and out sometimes. Not much of a concern for us- we barely used it.
good location. Very clean. Everything is very good.
We book a room for four persons. The upper bed has no guard bar. My friend is too afraid to sleep there afraid to fall to the ground.
Clean & quiet. Free towel. Comfortable bed. Proficient reception desk (but they need to put on a smile now & then)
Nothing... The area around the hotel didn't give me any chivers (as some reviews have implied...)
location is close to metro.
room is way to small, when you pay by credit card, got 5% more charged!
the breakfast!! good location
