Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli - 8.0Scored 8.0
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade...
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade lined by good restaurants. It seems to have remained unchanged. As it was the last night of a longer driving trip, we didn’t have the time to see other interesting sites, such as the museum and shipwreck, of the town. We ate at Saga which was terrific!RosemaryAustralia

It's round the corner from the main seafront strip but still easily walkable, quieter, and closer to the headland/lighthouse. Comfortable room and nice bathroom. Very nice breakfast beside the sea and not the usual buffet. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Availability of (limited) parking right beside the hotel was a big plus. Bar and fancy bistro on the ground floor if you want that sort of thing.

Breakfast is wonderful and plentiful. The rooms were neat. You have private beach access and a pool. When my mother forgot her glasses at the hotel, the staff was kind enough to ship the glasses to us. We did not even call them. They called us first. This is a great place to take family and just relax/ unwind. This hotel is also very close to the tavernas by the harbor.SamanthaUnited States of America

Our room (409) had a partial sea view and a small balcony. The bathroom was a good size and the beds were comfortable. The hotel doesn’t have parking, you park on the road, we were fortunate enough to get a spot outside. O’live is the nearest restaurant and I can definitely recommend it, the food was superb.
