Housed in a renovated 19th-century mansion, design hotel Despotiko is located in the center of scenic Portaria. It offers individually decorated, luxurious rooms with Mount Pelion or Pagasitikos Gulf views. Despotiko’s rooms are equipped with cable LCD TV and free Wi-Fi access. Marble bathrooms are stocked with luxury amenities, slippers and bathrobes. Some units feature a fireplace. We had a wonderful time at Despotiko, we stayed for five days, the room was on the new wing, comfortable bed, fireplace, hairdryer was broken but replaced immediately, the manager was really helpful and polite. Breakfast was ok, not to die for but adequate. The street leading to the hotel is a traditional path, narrow but we managed just fine. If you park down that road, it's only three min walk. Very good value for money.

Extremely friendly, polite and helpful staff. Boutique hotel, very stylish, very nice design/ decoration. Excellent location, views. Very good breakfast. Slightly small bathroom.

Very gentle and very professional staff. Cosy rooms with fireplace. Complete breakfast buffet. Parking space. 2 min. Walking distance from the center of Portaria. Picturesque location.

These words are merely not enough to describe the wonderful location of the hotel and its enviroment.As far as I can see from the comments, those who have visited it, describe the difficulty of access. This is true, but is expected to Pelion region. I would definetely visit Despotiko again!

Despotiko is a true oasis of peace with luxuriously designed rooms and suites, situated in the heart of Pilio. The staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. Just perfect!

Clean, spacious rooms. Nice design and atmosphere. Good breakfast Booked superior room but it didnt have a fireplace. Not very clear how you can get one, probably ask for it. A bit difficult to find and also very narrow road to reach it

The staff was very helping and friendly. The bed is super comfortable. The breakfast is good too. The location is quite near the bus stop but we need to climb the hill with our luggage in order to reach the hotel.

We were so welcome and happy from the hotel during our first visit at the Despotiko in Portaria that we did not hesitate to include the same hotel for a 4 days stay of the weekly vacation. The hotel is simply superb and the service,warm wellcome by Mr.Dimitris is unparalelled and will always make a home away home for us in Portaria.Truly deserves a 10 over 10 for the 100 % of room,breakfast,service. Thank you Dimitris for the friendship. The only sad thing being leaving home to go back home.

The bed was very comfortable. Very narrow street to reach the hotel, and not so easy to find it. On booking page the hotel seems havingTV sat in the rooms but it isn't true.

Design hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great views on Volos and good pool. Portaria and Makrinitsa villages within walking distance. Very narrow road for car to get to hotel. Room with great view, but no balcony.

Polite and very helpful staff, very good quality of service, perfect condition of room and public areas. Absolutely worth it! The view from the room windows was blocked by other buildings. Could only see the yard. Perhaps not an issue with other rooms.

The staff is hospitabile and friendly, as is the facility itself. The hotel design is personal, soothing , ununtrusive, and in excellent taste. The grounds and rooms are meticuolesley mentained. It is what I want a hotel to be like. For an easier arrival-make sure you know how to spell Despotiko in greek. The signs are in greek and are essential to find your way to the hotel which is hidden in a maze of narrow-steep-cobblestone paved alleys. Once you get there you can relax.
