The fully refurbished Hotel Omiros enjoys a central location in Athens, only a few minutes’ walk from Syntagma Square and the new Acropolis Museum.

This centrally located, family-run hotel is just feet from Monastiraki Metro Station. It features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. The 24-hour front desk provides tourist services.

location is really great, just few steps from acropolis and nice Plaka area with plenty shops and restaurants. Close to the metro station.
Most horrible thing is aircon rule... you can't have your own remote controller, so every time you want to turn it on you have to go out and find the stuff to do it for you. it is especially great in the middle of the night, because they turn it on for no longer than 2 hours.... bathroom is broken and dirty, i guess they clean it once in several days. Wi-Fi is only available in public areas. Breakfast suppose to start at 8, but normally it is 30 min late. It is big deal in summer, coz early morning is the only time when you can comfortably visit acropolis.
Decrepit rooms with bunk beds and bathroom facilities had no soap. Room was advertised to have A/C but the receptionist kept the remote in his possession and then switched it off at the mains at 3 am -- we woke up sweating in the early hours and had to go ask someone to turn it back on -- and it switched off again after 20 mins. We were woken up by noisy people chatting just outside our window at 8 am. I later found that a whole apartment could be rented for the same price €60 per night on AirBnB.....
The staff were very nice and helpful
The bathrooms were disgusting, the rooms were not particularly clean, the common areas were really dirty, the included breakfast was non-existent, the internet didn't work.
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children and stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were quiet and clean. The location is very central and there is a nice back-yard garden. No great luxury but a cosy hostel-like atmosphere (no kitchen facilities though). Good value for money.
The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from the acropolis and other central sights in Athens. The staff were generally friendly and did sort things out when asked (although often it didn't take long for things to break again...). Easy to get laundry done. The patio area is nice at the back of the property. Good wifi.
This "hotel" is very definitely a hostel, fair enough it was cheap but there were other cheaper places available when we booked. We chose Dioskouros because it seemed to have the most character from the website - mistake! Staff were not friendly when we arrived. Lights were fused on the stairs. Electricity and air conditioning did not work in our room (main light did). When we mentioned this after a couple of days (our choice) the staff did manage to turn the power back on (the air con didn't start but I think that they could have fixed that if we had asked) but it tripped again about 8 hours later. We didn't bother asking about it again because everything seemed to be very run down/a bit broken and we just assumed that the staff didn't care - this may not be the case. The place needs a serious clean - I have a reasonable tolerance for shared bathrooms/living areas (I have done a few glastonbury's quite happily) but these were just filthy. Toilet seats that were no longer attached. No toilet paper. Very rudimentary doors on the showers etc. It is a real shame because the building is nice and with a very small amount of effort this could be a great basic place to stay. Breakfast was pathetic. We only went once because the selection of dry bread, something that might have been chocolate spread, coffee that had been through the filter previously (we saw this, not just a guess) and eggy bread of some vintage looked awful.
So close to the Acropolis it's amazing.
For the price we expected a little more. Shared toilets and showers are very average. Backpackers slumming here.
The courtyard out the back is very cosy and welcoming. Very nice place to sit and relax.
The amenities were out of order for our stay.
There is a little garden with tv in the hostel. The room is tidy and comfortable. Close to the sights.
The toilet is not clean, as there is no curtian for the shower. Our room cannot recieive wifi. No kitchen or microwave for us to use.
The staff was very helpful and polite. They told us what to visit in the city as well as what areas to avoid. The location of the hotel is truly excellent. We didn't need the metro to get around! By the way, try their burger! It's one of the best we've ever had!
The bathrooms were not what we expected they were not very clean looking. Wear flip flops for showers.
Didn't require any public transport to see attractions as everything was at walkable distance.
Got twin bed instead of Double bed. Bathroom use was messy and leaky.
It's just at the foot of Acropolis and other places of interest.
The rooms are not at all sound-proof and it's a little noisy at night.
the location was great. Personal was really friendly
while the room was reasonable clean, the bathroom was extremely dirty, and without toilet paper.
Full of young people screaming after midnight,we had the room next to the reception and althought there is a lovely garden at the back of the hotel they use the reception to talk and drink so we couldn't sleep all night.the venting machine is next to the rooms as well so all night people use it and made noise while they were taking their foods, drinks!!!
The price, the location and great personnel (friendly, helpful, careful)
Furniture, general condition of the building and facilities
Close to acropolis and the centre of Athens
Stay away. Public health hazzard!! I stayed there for three days (I had paid for four) not once did they clean the two common toillets (used by seven rooms on the floor). I talked about it with both the reception and the cleaning lady and they didn't even bother to find an excuse. I still wonder how they managed to get a 6.1 rating in cleaning. Other than that they didn't change the sheets or the towel for three days. There were cigarettes on the balcony floor. All in all don't ruin your vacationby staying here.
Nice garden and place to have breakfast
The place was old and bathroom shared. No lockers in the room, no service.
Hostel type . Go on pay 20 euro more and get hotel standard. For us all were booked up.
Centre of Athens shut down for visiting government official. Regular occurrence apparently. No text to warn us of 6hr traffic jam. Resolutely said we should park car illegally and walk 3km with our 2 young children at midnight. Through the police cordons. We're not going to cancel and not charge no way. So if you have an issue. Forget it. Only 1 bulb working in room. Got ticket whilst unloading at 2am as neighbours called police. Car in a resident parking bay! Blankets smelt but didn't expect much
Dioskouros was the best experience that I had. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, kind and go to the extra mile. I will definitely recommend friends and family to Dioskouros. I'm positive they will have a great time! The location is perfect, close to touristic sites, restaurants and shopping centers. The facility are cleaned on a daily basis, free fast speed wifi, rooms are big. This hostel is a really nice place to stay and I will definitely stay there again.
The only thing I didn't like was probably the breakfast but anyway, I didn't really have time to get up early to have it. In any case, having breakfast in a nice restaurant in Greece is the best way to go about it when on vacation! Overall, Dioskouros rocks!
a. basic services not working (water in room, electricity plugs, poor internet connection, etc) b. no basics like soap c. no effort to satisfy customer except for AM lady. Night guy will do everything for not being nice and help you. d. you can get similar hotels with bath and shower in same area for same rate e. Bfast served until 9AM, no flexibility to extend it 30 or 45' f. Bfast is the most basic one: a basic coffee and french bread
The location is excellent for The Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and great restaurants.
Whether you have a good stay is entirely dependent upon the other guests. Our stay coincided with someone who kept putting paper in the toilet (despite all the signs saying not to) clogging and leaving them unusable.
Nothing is good in this hotel. they write a hotal but they are onlt bad bad bad hostel. my son still name it a prison i dont advice any one to.stay in it.
This hotel is not only making you feel like you are home away from home...it is because the the staff managing this hotel will make you feel like you are not a guest...but a friend to accommodate during your stay. it feels good and STAV is genuinely awesome person. They are not after your room price, but definitely after your safety and comfort!!! Well, the property is strategically located within the center of Acropolis, literally a stone-throw away from point-of-interests like Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Gate, Acropolis Museum, Acropolis Mountain and Parthenon, etc... Room is well-secured and maintained!!!
The personnel was really nice and recommended us several good places to go. The breakfast was good for the price Location was good but not amazing
You could hear people in other rooms, the soundproofing was awful. The heating was intermittent
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, near all the major attractions but the street was pretty quiet. We love the cheerful backyard garden where the guests have breakfast. Another great thing was that the hotel allows the guests to store their luggage. We left our luggage for four days while we went to Santorini without any charges. We highly recommend this hotel to backpacker travellers for its value for money.
