A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located near the picturesque Plaka neighborhood. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.
Score from 2104 reviews Very good
Situated at the foot of the Acropolis, Herodion Hotel has elegantly decorated air-conditioned rooms.
Score from 770 reviews Very good
This hotel has a prestigious location in the historic heart of Athens. It has 4-star facilities, excellent views of the Acropolis and Temple of Olympian Zeus, and fine cuisine.
Score from 703 reviews Excellent
With a great location in the center of Plaka, facing the Acropolis, this 5-star hotel has personalized service, a beautiful rooftop pool and well-furnished rooms with a buffet breakfast included.
Score from 1035 reviews Excellent
Super attentive, helpful and friendly staff Great food in the restaurant Good location - just 2 minutes walking from Acropolis entrance Plenty of souvenirs shops around
They gave this single woman a room near the elevator and not at the end of the hall as so often happens. Safety issue.
My ad didn't work and had to be repaired at 2am. Pool not open after touring/approx. 2pm to 5pm during siesta, yet screaming children were allowed around the pool deck. Individual table ay breakfast buffet awkward. A lot of walking back and forth.
The view, but you must reserve a first floor room. The pool is very small but clean and good for a dip. The service staff are friendly and the chap who collected me from the very was very helpful and arranged a moped hire for me , which you really need to explore the island. You can also hide a quad bike for couples...greats fun, and a beautiful island.
The hotel was easy to find, brand new and in an excellent location. The rooms were large and clean. The rooftop patio was open late, gorgeous and had a spectacular view of the Acropolis. Good value!
While the atmosphere of the rooftop patio was really lovely, we only went once as the food was really sub par and over priced compared to other restaurants we ate at.
location, commuting and staff frienliness
price, room amenities and AC
Great staff and location.
It was very well located near the Plaka district and we could see the Acropolis from our balcony. It was quiet and relaxing during the day by the pool. Room was very comfortable and spacious.
The decor was a bit tired and the the food and drink was overpriced. Pool hours were restricted due to local laws on noise.
beautiful view, very nice room, attentive wait staff at dinner, waiter made an excellent wine recommendation.
shower curtain rod was a little cheesy and fell down during the night
The staff was outstanding. Fastest room service I have ever experienced! Entire hotel staff works hard to make your stay pleasant. Location close to sites and shopping.
Facilities are older and in need of updating. Beds and pillows not especially comfortable. Try to book in the newer section. Heard it is better. Location tends to make up for other short comings.
Hotel was in very good position, right near the plaka and acropolis within walking distance. Staff were helpful and friendly. Roof top bar was more of an older crowd and not really suitable for young friends. Overall a good stay.
The location was pretty good. The air condition worked. The rooms were cleaned well
No concierge to help with any enquiries. No business centre . The restaurant at the top terrace Had inedible food. The staff there had a bland expression on their faces and could barely talk to the customers. Salads in Athens are normally in generous proportions, my salad with squid , was a soggy presentation of greens with .battered squid rings scattered. The general feeling was that this hotel caters for group travel, needless to say ,they did not have to speak to individual guests at any time, not even a good morning.
The breakfast was poor and downstairs
I liked the location and the roof top dining.
I thought that the rooms could use updating.
Walking distance to the acropolis and the museum.
Price of breakfast
Location, within walking distance of Acropolis and museum.
The Divani Palace was very nice, clean and well staffed. Our room was spacious and a great value. There is a very nice pool and an even nicer rooftop bar/restaurant with an unobstructed view of the Acropolis that is breathtaking!
Beautifully appointed room Fast, efficient service when requesting housekeeping item Pleasant staff on Front Desk
Great location and view from acropolis (from the roof garden bar/restaurant) Luxury decoration and ambient Nice pool Excellent and quiet room
Breakfast too expensive
Staff exceeding helpful
2 minutes walk to Acropolis, near good restaurants. Very friendly staff, nice view from the balcony.
Nothing to complain.
The hotel is a few minutes walk to the Acrpolis, Plaka and the Acropolis Museum. The room was fine, pool refreshing. Lots of nearby restaurants and a great bakery around the corner.
No Provision to meek tea/ coffee in the room.
starsthe location was great!!! Right next to the acropolis 10 minute walk from the plaza. Rooftop resturabt view was amazing staff are super friendly!
The bed and especially the pillows are not comfortable at all! Even though I had a deluxe room I could not sleep properly for the 5 nights I was there. I had to actually sleep on the decorative pillows. Cleanliness wasn't that great. I left towels in the tub to be changed they actually stayed there for 2 days! By 3 is you are not out of your room they will not clean it, I found that obserd for a "5 star" hotel. The amount Paied wasn't worth the stay because of comfort and cleanliness. I hope they fix this soon!!
Almost everything! The staff were very helpful, it was conveniently located, the facilities were very good and the place has a great luxurious feel to it.
The wifi is not secured. This is a strange choice as it means anyone can connect on the street and even snoop on you! The roof terrace restaurant is closed on Mondays and this was not advertised anywhere. This fact was unfortunate as we left it to the final day of our break to check it out and it was, as you may guess, a Monday!
- staff friendliness - location
- restricted swimming hours.
The setting, the food , the staff and the accommodation were all excellent. Dining in the roof top restaurant and then walking round Athens at night all made it an unforgettable experience
