The Doge Hotel presented me with two choices of rooms--both very beautiful. I chose the large room on the ground floor, which had the disadvantage of bringing in noise from the alley outside the kitchen area. But there was also a private door, so I could come and go without reference to the front entrance. People smoke in the hotel, and if you're a nonsmoker, it's annoying to have this odor entering your room. Also, hardcore porn on the cable TV was sort of shocking for me. I complained, and it came and went of its own accord, so to speak. |

The location - old town, harbour, restaurants, shopping, bus terminal close by. The room huge, four poster bed, nice bathroom - very romantic. Great Breakfast. The staff - incredible - makes you feel like family. Best hotel we stayed in on our Europe trip. |

Perfect location in the city centre. Very nice rooms with romantic decoration. Staff very friendly. They make you feel like home. Everythin was perfect. Maybe cooking stuff might be improved. |

Always very useful advice on all questions available at all times from Ks. Giorgious. Excellent and very filling breakfasts of local bread, yoghourt, Greek coffee - and that big glass of Cretan orange-juice. Cooking facilities en suite. It's on a pedestrian street, where even the other tourists speak quietly, influenced by the moderation of the local citizens. |

Central location in old town. George, the owner, was very helpful & accommodating. Room was very spacious, comfortable & clean. Very modern shower with variety of jets. Breakfast was wonderful selection of bread, buns & cakes with delicious yoghurt, fresh orange juice & the best coffee in Chania. Only minor noise in evening in back room. |

The location is very close to the Venetial harbour. The staff, especially George, were very friendly and helpful. The towels were not very clean. |

We arrived before check-in time due to an early ferry and were given a free breakfast and fast access to our spacious cool room. Although we only spent two nights at a discount rate all linen, towels etc were changed twice. our room had a kitchennette so although only a minute away from hundreds of restaurants we sould have prepared food to eat at the breakfast bar or in the comfortable seating. some night noise as our room was at the front: although the street was pedestrianised, ther was some motor cycle and delivery traffic |

Das Doge hat eher Pensions- als Hotelcharakter. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Das Team ist sehr gastfreundlich, hilfsbereit und unkonventionell. Ik vond de kamer prachtig vooral het hemelbed. personeel en de baas van het hotel waren uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het ontbijt was grandioos. geweldis gelegen in het hartje van chania op een steenworp afstand van de oude haven . helemaal geweldig |
