Roof top swimming pool Roof top bar Acropolis view
Wi-fi only in lobby and roof top bar, to many youngsters playing video games in the bar at night The food was not particularly good
The spectacular view from the top floor, sitting by the pool with a corona. And they kindly gave me a packed breakfast as I was leaving early in the morning.
The seedy location, a group of us went for a walk after we got in from a late ferry from santorini and we could not believe how uneasy we all felt.
Pool, and bar on the roof. Location Clean
Man at the desk, not so helpful :(((((
Bar on the rooftop Fair Breakfast
Small toilet Pay internet at the room Old facility Poor view from room
lovely big room, good swimming pool, amazing cocktails in the rooftop bar. comfy bed.
you wouldn't want to walk around the area alone at night. Bad wifi signal in room
The roof top was amazing and the food was great!
The rooms were very old They advertised free wifi in the whole hotel but it's only in the lobby and rooftop otherwise you have to buy it off the room.
Best views in Athens from the rooftop. Enjoyable stay using the pool and eating at the roof top café and restaurant.
Good location, beatiful view from the rooftop bar, good staff.
Athens has a hot climate therefore you need a good air conditioning for a quality sleep. The airconditioner was old and too noisy. There was also a humidity problem.
There is no parking
Location was perfect. Room was modern and spacious.
Shower was broken so you could really only have baths. The wifi was horrible. It advertised as free wifi everywhere. There was only free wifi at the bar and it didn't really work. The breakfast was not good. We arrived way before the end of breakfast and there was absolutely nothing left and they weren't topping anything up. What was left was disgusting. The elevators were slow and pathetic and we walked to the 9th floor most times. We booked this place over another for the wifi and breakfast. It was a mistake.
Dorian Inn is a nice hotel close to the city centre, clean rooms, polite staff. Best part of it all is the roof top pool as the.summers in Athens can be quite warm. After 3 stays a Dorian Inn I give my recommendations for this hotel
We have stayed at Dorian Inn before and find it perfect of a city trip to Athens as you have access to a pool in the warm summer months. Polite staff, clean and nice rooms - Perfect location . We give our recommendations for this hotel
The rooms are average but the view from restaurant bar and pool are amazing and definitely well worth the money, have stayed in 5 star hotels in Athens would stay again at Dorian Inn simply for its value for money and view
Other guests could be a bit noisy at night
Not far from the areas to see by taxi Top floor swimming pool with great view of the Panthenon Welcoming staff
Close to a station unfortunately unsafe at night. The room was no way near the pictures we saw on the Internet when booking
Loved the rooftop, nothing better than relaxing by the pool after a hot day sightseeing. The view of the Acropolis and other sights was great. The breakfasts were excellent. An incredible amount of tourist information available in the lobby in many languages. The rooms were large but basic. The air conditioning was great and needed in the middle of summer.
The bathroom while large was minimalist and the shower didn't have a screen or a was handheld. While advertised that the wifi worked in all public areas, it only worked in the lobby and the mezzanine areas. It was in a run down part of town, but really close to the metro.
Fabulous rooftop pool and bar with view
Fridge wasn't working. No conditioner. No free wifi. No airport or port transfers.
- Very friendly reception - Great location - perfect rooftop terrace and pool
- The Rooftop Bar staff wasn't very friendly. - No shade around the rooftop pool!
location, center of the city, 12th floor pool, breakfast ok.
wifi was unreliable, minibar had notthing to eat - no snacks.
+ central location, next to metro station; + awesome view from roof top terrace; + pool; + staff.
top of hotel only
Rooftop is mega! Best view over the city, with pool
Beds were separated
AC did not work and they still booked us into rooms. Very hot uncomfortable night and street too noisy to open windows
The view from the cafe on the top floor is spectacular, it's the only reason I booked it. The hotel is very central in Athens. We were given 2 bowls of fresh fruit, half a bottle of wine and a day's free room service after Mum's accident. The maintenance man who stayed with us and helped to comfort my mother until the ambulance arrived. The barman in the top floor cafe was friendly and cheerful. Breakfast food was plentiful and varied. The staff in general were solicitous of my mother's health. After our iPad was stolen the manageress let me use her computer to change my email password. The adjacent chemist's shop was first class.
DO NOT TAKE ELDERLY RELATIVES TO THIS HOTEL. Within 10 minutes of arrival my 85 year old mother had fallen down a spiral flight of marble stairs. The exit from one of the two tiny lifts is only a step away from the staircase and is dangerous because the landings are very small, there is no space to manoeuvre a large number of suitcases and no porter service is offered. During our short stay, I actually grabbed the arm of another guest to prevent him from having a similar accident. The only member of staff to come to our aid initially was the night maintenance man. An ambulance was called repeatedly by reception but took 45 minutes to arrive, there seemed to be no urgency in spite of the massive pool of blood on the staircase. My mother needed 15 stitches in her brow, 2 in her head and her body was battered black and blue with bruises. I reported that the air conditioning didn't work in Mum's room, which was uncomfortably hot as she had to spend her first day in Athens in bed. The air conditioning in our room was also ineffective in spite of making plenty of noise. The food served in the top floor cafe was verging on inedible; greasy omelette and tough, over-cooked chicken (served to another guest). There was no shower screen or curtain on the bath to prevent water spraying everywhere. The surrounding area was worrying, loads of graffiti and boarded-up shops - we certainly wouldn't have ventured out on foot at night. We were able to leave our suitcases in a storage room until the afternoon of our departure but the room wasn't locked and didn't appear to be closely supervised by the reception staff. I walked in to find a woman going through one of the suitcases, I only hope it was hers! In spite of having to spend our entire first night at the hospital, no refund was offered. If this hotel was in the UK, they would be hearing from my solicitor and the local Health and Safety department.
