Location, Exarchia, has great bookstores with Greeks who make every effort to communicate with you. This is not a fashionable neighborhood but a creative and political magnet for artists, musicians, craftsmen, socialists, and anarchists. Booking.com has the wrong street name.Anexartissias is the name of the street, not Dryades. Because of the taxi strike, I had to carry my luggage up a very, very steep hill at mid day in July, and booking.com had thehotel's location at Benaki and Dryades, but Dryades is not a street. I don't know whose fault that is, but please.

The bathroom was very nice and the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfy and there was a square with cool bars and resturants 2 minutes down the street. There were nearby metro stations for getting into the centre of Athens and seeing the sights.

The room was very comfortable with a very good shower. There was a small balcony with a (partial) view of the Acropolis. Hotel in a quiet location. The hotel is in Exharia, one of the grittier areas of Athens. Some people may be put off by the amount of graffiti and street art. We found most of the shops were closed and shuttered - on a Saturday afternoon - which was unnerving at first. Having said this we did not feel threatened and indeed the people we met were friendly and helpful.

Local night life and view/walk on nearby hill. Rubbish plumbing (seems to be a Greek thing though).

1) Excellent value for money. 2) Nice, safe and quiet location next to the green Strefis hill. 3) 10 minutes walk from the city centre and the subway. You'd better use a taxi when getting there for the first time, especially if carrying heavy baggages.

Enjoyed our stay here, must say family staff, cleaners and one coloured male were excellent. Nice room but pity about no natural sunlight. Would reccommend for a city trip. Thank you so much to father and daughter for jump starting our car! We will always remember your kindness! Confusion about where to check in. We went to Drayades and waited for ages to check in but no one came. We got buzzed in 3 times and the lady in the other hotel never came to us. When we went to her there was no smile or apology. What really frustrated me was that she could actually see us waiting on her tv screen!!! This was the only bad experience. I felt as if she thought we were an inconvience to her.

I liked the family nature of the staff who worked. They generally seemed to care about what I wanted, and diid everything they could to accommodate me. Also the location is excellent, very central, allowing easy access to all tourist spots, i loved it.

“Every step I met in there was just like a big family! I love them all ;) What a lovely greek hospitality! Some people might say the place is not very good and dangerous, but hey it's not that bad! ( I also stayed near omonia square, little suspicious though, it's interesting just watching! haha) I love greece so much even I couldn't properly use public transportation when I need! If I could visit Athen again ( definitely will do!) I will choose this hotel again!” Sui, Seoul |
