Better location that other budget accomodation, there was a communal kitchen which saves you money with supermarket and butcher nearby, brilliant fruit and veg market on Saturdays out the front, bus stop less than 5 minutes away with an easy 10 minutes trip to the main attractions. At first I thought I'd made a mistake but once I settled in my room I realised it was actually quite good compared to other Athens accomodation. |

Ideally located in the Exarchia neighborhood, the hotel is on a quiet hill (next to Strefi hill) but still allows you to access the center quickly. (Omonia is a 15 min walk) Lots of affordable cafes and eateries are nearby. The room was very simple but clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff are not overly friendly but very helpful when asked. Definitely reccomended if your goal is to explore the city from a good starting point without living in your hotel room, especially given the bad reputation of many Athens hotels and areas... |

The hotel has a good view of the accropolis, the rooms are spacious, it has a nice balcony and the bathroom was much better than all the other hotels that I stayed at in Greece |

Lovely, friendly and very helpful staff, great room with luxury tv, beautiful surroundings, splendid Athens view. Fridge and kettle in room and communal kitchens a good bonus. Very importantly, a good sense of security. |

Quiet surrondings, the hotel being some 10 minutes by foot from Omonia Place, "odd" people stay away. There is no roof terrace in Dryades Hotel, but don't fail to ask at Orion Hotel (where there is the reception lobby for both hotels), which has a terrace roof with a fantastic view on the Acropolis and Lycabette hill. Good and sympathetic taverna in the street beneath (Ama Lachi, 69, odos Kallidromiou). I stayed in two diffrent rooms successively, #12 and 28, the second one well renovated, with a very good bathroom, but the first room not so! This one did not correspond in my opinion to the price of 45 euros for a single (the price was the same for both rooms). There was no Acropolis view in either room; the price for rooms with a view is much higher. Caution: for people not confortable with street walking, the access of the hotel by foot needs some minutes of quite steep climbing! |

Scenic views from the two balcony, comfortable and neat room where we slept well. The Hotel seems to me Greek by character and this is exactly what I was looking for. A few bad guys were walking around but it is, of course not the fault of the hotel |
