location in the city center Nice terrace for breakfast
Room (budget class) and common spaces (lobby, lift, breakfast room) very old standard. No close Metro station (>10 min walk).
Lovely staff Great breakfast
The steps are very steep
Close to the sites especially the archaeological museum. Very close to an excellent restaurant αμα λαχει, at the bottom of the stairs and turn right. About 100 metres on the left.
Climbing the stairs after a day seeing the sights. Suggest walking down and a taxi up.
very friendly people and a quiet area. The Exarchia area of Athens is young and has a lot of street art and cool places
The room was very spacious and clean. Location is fantastic as there are many restaurants and bars just minutes away.
Hot water in the shower was intermittent
the breakfast terrace with gorgeous view on the Acropole ans the breakfast itself
the cold water not enough water pressure and flow in the shower
Cost ver reasonable room excellent area excellent tho a fair walk to acropolis. In an authentic part of Athens
The town view
Not near transport facilities
decent sized room with a little balcony lots of restaurants in the neighborhood fairly convenient location updated bathroom nice staff
a little loud at night, but not enough to bother someone who is used to city noise bed was a little hard
- Cool location on top of a hill, with nice view from the roof bar - Nice, laid-back stuff, attentive non the less - Rooms are quite nice (for the price)
- Located on top of a hill with quite a long staircase you have to use to get in/out. If that is a problem to you, you might reconsider this hotel
The view The roof garden The room style The balcony The neighborhood
Too many stairs / too remote for elderly or disabled people
Friendly staff Clean rooms Fun neighborhood
Very noisy until 03:00 am every night due to a super popular outdoor restaurant, making difficult to sleep every night. The rooms were outdated, so the value was less for the money one has to pay there.
Nice room, cute bathroom, balcony (looking out to a wall, but still)
Uncomfortably big hill, the area is a bit rough. Cleaners came in daily, occasionally giving towels and 'making the bed' (ie. moving the stuff off and flattening the top sheet a bit). But tea, coffee etc. was not replenished for the duration of our three day stay and balcony doors were left open. The reception was in another building, so there was no one to check when other guests were partying loudly outside.
Overall, very good. Fairly quiet at night, despite the location it IS safe even at night, absolutely no safety issue. I was walking back to the hotel every night around 1am with a DSLR camera in my hand. Lots of bars and students around, most people speak English and are very nice. Taxi to Sintagma is 4-10eur depending on the driver. Good WIFI, superb view on the Acropolis, fridge in the room, very nice staff.
Un-wanted wake up call at 4 am one day.
Great staff and rooms are nice.
It's a hike to the Acropolis so if you're just in for a couple days to sightsee, I'd look for a closer hotel.
quiet place in Athens center
don't be afraid to climb stairs!
This family run hotel is a great place to stay for those who are travelling on a budget and with their families. I was really impressed by how involved the staff was from the moment i booked my stay. I was given proper directions for reaching the hotel along with various options and costs to suit my budget. The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the Acropolis from the balcony was amazing. The rooftop is just the perfect highlight of this property. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options. The location is close to the main tourist attractions of plaka and syntagma by foot as well as the metro. At first the graffiti on the walls is daunting but the location is perfectly safe and some of the works on the walls are really good. There are great resturant and supermarkets close by. A good choice for those travelling to Athens. I'll definitely go back.
The location was not close to attractions but was cool in its own right, with lots of funky restaurants around.
It was very loud at night, but we managed to sleep okay regardless
Newly renovated Very clean Air-conditioned Free wi-fi strong enough for streaming Terrace overlooking the Acropolis A free bottle of water in the fridge Great cafes and restaurants in the area with much cheaper food than in the city center
The location might seem a bit iffy, but I never felt unsafe. It might be difficult for some people to climb the stairs to get to the hotel.
The hotel is very new and staff is very kindly. We are very satisfacted with the hotel.
everything! Breakfast with lovely view, very nice staff, you don't want to miss it!
Great staff, excellent value for money
could have found a room in center for the same money. room was OK, clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. wi-fi worked without problem.
Location is the only bottle neck. it is not that far from where the things are going on but climbing uphill on the way to hotel is a bit challenging.
The staff is very helpful and friendly, speaks English, gives you information about public transport, place to visit, even looking internet or phoning. We have slept in a budget room, it was not very large, but there was everything you need, the fridge, wi fi and air conditioner. The hotel is located in an alternative, bohemien district, Exarchia, full of young people, of restaurants and pubs,10-15 minutes (1,1 km) of walk from metro Omonia. In the hotel's website is written how to get there.
The hotel is uphill, so the arrival with luggage is a bit hard.
