Score from 523 reviews Very good
Great staff and rooms are nice.
It's a hike to the Acropolis so if you're just in for a couple days to sightsee, I'd look for a closer hotel.
quiet place in Athens center
don't be afraid to climb stairs!
This family run hotel is a great place to stay for those who are travelling on a budget and with their families. I was really impressed by how involved the staff was from the moment i booked my stay. I was given proper directions for reaching the hotel along with various options and costs to suit my budget. The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the Acropolis from the balcony was amazing. The rooftop is just the perfect highlight of this property. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options. The location is close to the main tourist attractions of plaka and syntagma by foot as well as the metro. At first the graffiti on the walls is daunting but the location is perfectly safe and some of the works on the walls are really good. There are great resturant and supermarkets close by. A good choice for those travelling to Athens. I'll definitely go back.
The location was not close to attractions but was cool in its own right, with lots of funky restaurants around.
It was very loud at night, but we managed to sleep okay regardless
everything! Breakfast with lovely view, very nice staff, you don't want to miss it!
Great staff, excellent value for money
could have found a room in center for the same money. room was OK, clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. wi-fi worked without problem.
Location is the only bottle neck. it is not that far from where the things are going on but climbing uphill on the way to hotel is a bit challenging.
The staff is very helpful and friendly, speaks English, gives you information about public transport, place to visit, even looking internet or phoning. We have slept in a budget room, it was not very large, but there was everything you need, the fridge, wi fi and air conditioner. The hotel is located in an alternative, bohemien district, Exarchia, full of young people, of restaurants and pubs,10-15 minutes (1,1 km) of walk from metro Omonia. In the hotel's website is written how to get there.
The hotel is uphill, so the arrival with luggage is a bit hard.
The area around is fantastic, lots of great bars nearby, quality graffiti everywhere. A real artistic, bohemian feel, yet safe. A welcome relief from the horrific tourist bars and restaurants near the main sites. Hotel itself was clean, quiet with fantastic balcony view on the Acropolis (not all rooms of course). Nice terrace for breakfast or drinks, although we didn't have time to use it!
Not for everybody. Drug addicts, business class, drunks, students, artists, poets all in the same place. Some would feel threatened at night, but without due cause. Steep hill to walk up to get there... Very small bathroom
The view from a nice terrace. Quite nice room. You have a kitchen on the 1st floor if needed. Many restaurants all around.
2 single beds fixed together, and a huge gap between them. The bathroom is very, VERY tiny and not really separated from the room (the "door" doesn't even close properly).
Nice view of Acropolis from terasse. Walking distance to Touristic attractions 15-20 minutes.
The cleaning staff's faithful cleaning.
All that is displayed in the website is wrong and the score 8.4 is certainly wrong.
Located on a hill - out of the hubbub below; Lovely treed area right beside the hotel; The view of the Parthenon; The breakfast deck; Good aircon; Friendly staff.
The hotel helped me out throughout. I had a very tight schedule in Athens, spending literally 28 hours in Athens. I arrived at 2am, and asked pre-booked the taxi to pick me up from the airport through the hotel. After I arrived, Kostas helped me check in and gave me an orientation of the city. The breakfast was on the balcony, with the Acropolis visible in the distance. When I had to leave early next day, I unfortunately left some of my important documents in the room. The hotel staff found them and mailed them to me back in the US. The staff has been very helpful and courteous throughout. Wish them good business and a wonderful summer, too! I wish to stay longer next time in Athens, and I will stay with you again. Many many thanks!
Staff was kind and helpful and sensitive to the needs of travelers. They even wash your clothes for a small fee. Very kind people.
Bathrooms could be updated & no blow dryer...
Noisy, dusty, location
We loved the rooftop terrace that had a beautiful view of the Acropolis in the distance. They were very accommodating and we were able to use the laundry facilities as well as the kitchen if needed. The surrounding neighborhood had some hip restaurants and lounges and the bus stop to the center and Acropolis sites was only a few blocks away.
The steep hill...but at least it justified all the food we enjoyed while in Athens. :)
-very nice location.Quiet and safe area.Supermarket is in 2min walk. Also there is a weekend market right downstairs. -cozy room with a very nice balcony and view -kitchen dowstairs (you can use a bigger fridge and all the utensils) -friendly staff -best value for money ever
great stuff, nice view from the balcony
Hi we stayed there for 3 nights though it is in the main city and decently accessible the main areas like Omonia square etc but it is on up hill and reaching there is as task if you have already invested your energy in seeing the city. It is situated in a residential area which seemed to me a little shady and run down on my first impression, but you get what you pay for but the rooms were very comfortable and spacious in comparison to the rooms what we got in best western museum the day we landed in Greece I preferred the area near the National museum. as It is very lively and better locality to stay.
Location and locality
good value and good location with a nice view. Staff is extremely helpful.
Although ina neighbourhood which many would think is out of the way and a little inconvenient for site seeing, once you have your bearings and with help from the AMAZiNG staff you find you have found a haven in Athens. There are many restaurants, a supermarket, wine shop, butcher, fishmonger, bakeries etc within short walking distance and as the hotel has a kitchen available for guests to use... Basically you have it made. The bus and metro are within walking distance and if you need to use a taxi it is a short distance. We had a room with washing line and verandah outside as well as their amazing rooftop terrace for breakfast. I read that the area was dodgy but never felt unsafe even at night. I would stay here again if looking for a budget hotel in Athens
Our AC didn't work but it was mild so didn't matter and if it did the staff would have sorted it.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the roof garden has a view of Acropolis.
Rooftop terrace views
internet reception kept dropping out
Location is good even there is a huge slope before you arrived in hotel. Direct bus to acropolis, and not far from Omonia square. They are friendly to show you everywhere you wanna visit and the transportation. You have to go to the restaurant on 3rd floor. They have nice view there~ WiFi is very good!
