Staff were especially helpful location was central but much like the edge of marginal center of town. Rooftop and breakfast was delightful. One of our better hotels.

For the price it is a very good and clean hotel. Don't expect any luxury. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to stay there again during my next 5-day trip to Athens in October 2012. The public pc is free of charge, however, it unfortunately didn't work well. Tv is old fashioned and there are no international channels and there is no teletext.

The location the hotel is in walking distance from Plaka, the Acropolis and Monastiraki Square where you take the metro direct to the airport. The room was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful, the breakfast was nice and included into the room rate. Unfortunately they do not have fruits, but the local market is only 1 block away where you can buy cheap and fresh fruits every day.

Good sized room with good facilities and a reasonably comfortable bed. The location and the staff were great. The 5-8 levels were 'non-smoking' but either the smell wafted up the stairs or some people on our level were smoking. Either way the smell came under/around the door and made our room stink - staff said they couldn't do anything about it. A shame, as otherwise the hotel was good.

Everything was fine - the staff very friendly, helpful. The location of the hotel very good - everything You may want to see in this city just ten minutes away. Probably the sex shops around the hotel, still everything was ok, we had no problems about that.

The economou hotel Athens was very clean. The furnishings seemed new and stylish. The staff were helpful and dignified. The position central though it was a bit unsavoury having "adult Cinema " in the same street and prostitutes which felt a bit dangerous. We don't have complaints we would come again before leaving Greece. OUr reason for staying here was previous good experience

Location and price. It has a good breakfast and the staff are very nice and helpful. It is in a quiet street so no noice at night. Aircon is working well. The bathroom is very small, shower floods the bathroom floor. It is very cramped.

I have stayed at the Economy Hotel several times, and always return for the excellent value, cleanliness, location,There is only one thig and friendly staff who are extremely helpful and kind. The hotel is conveniently located near transportation at Omonia Square and Monastiraki, easy walking distance to the Plaka, Acropolis, and all points of interest in Athens center. The guys at the front desk are so nice, always making me feel at home. Thanks, Economy Hotel, for another pleasant and stress-free stay.

The central location, convenient to the best of ancient Athens as well as the best of shopping, the Metro at Monastiraki and tourist dining and fun at the Plaka. The bath/shower room was too small for tall Europeans, though in every other respect it could not be faulted.

Basic hotel located between Omonia Square and Monastiraki Square just off of Athinas Street near the city market. The hotel is basic but was clean and provided a good breakfast. Relatively easy walk to Monastiraki Square and the Plaka. The area looks rough but we didn't have any problems whatsoever. The hotel staff were extremely helpful with travel and sightseeing information. I would stay there again.

The staff was very helpfull. They immediatly picked a map to inform us about the sightseings. The breakfast was really good for that price. The location is very unsafe. The street is full of strange people staring at you. During the night when we parked our car, the scene became more terrible. There were dancing prostitutes all around. And there were lots of drug users.

Centrally situated, near to Plaka and Monastiraki square. I thought the hotel, for the money, was excellent. We loved the rooftop bar with the amazing view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus at night, breakfast was good as well. The road to the hotel is quite scary at night and the bathroom is very small

We were impressed by Demetrius, who gave us all the help we needed and by his friendliness. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to Plaka, the Acropolis and other tourist sites - very convenient. It is also situated between two metro stations. The rooms are quiet and very clean, with starched and ironed bed sheets. Breakfast is also very satisfying. Just round the corner are some prostitutes luring unsuspecting males.

Hotel staff always asked if we needed anything or had any questions when going in or out the main door. Air conditioning worked very well. Supermarket, atm and all other necessary services were close. When we first arrived, we were given a great handy map and they marked all the useful places down for us (sightseeings, places to shop & dine...). You could hear some noise from the room next door, but it didn't bother us.

A good city hotel within 15 minutes walk to the Acropolis and other places of interest. Friendly staff, Whilst fine during the day, just be aware that the immediate area around the hotel at night is somewhat dodgy. Be extra vigilant when walking from the main street down to the hotel.
