This elegant and recently renovated guesthouse is located in the historic quarter of Kalambaka, in the shadown of the imposing rocks of Meteora and 1700 ft from the center of the city. The Elena Guesthouse is built in the local, traditional style. The warm colors, natural materials and stylish furnishings all create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. The stylish rooms and suites have a luxurious bathroom with steam bath cabin or a jacuzzi bathtub. Each is open plan with a fireplace. Visit the monasteries of Meteora by following the scenic stone path that starts just 300 ft from the guesthouse. Visit the unique 11th-century Byzantium temple and the Assumption of the Virgin. Staff were helpful, friendly but not at all imposing or overbearing. The location was perfect - right below the Meteora rocks. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The shower is a little bit old - and the 'spa-style' shower really isn't necessary. Could be replaced with a new, clean simpler shower.

It is in a lovely location and the rooms are beautiful. When we left something behind at the guesthouse Elena went out of her way to make sure that it was posted on to us further in our travels, thank you Elena!

Superior room is very nice, clean and confortable. On the balcony you can see the meteore in front of you. The breakfast is good with fresh pie and hot toast.

Peaceful & cosy ambience. Distance from shops not too far (about 10 minutes walk). Clean. No receptionist service after owner officially receives guests on arrival. (Perhaps this is why its called a guesthouse and not a hotel).

Excelente lugar, limpio, tranquilo y bien ubicado. Elena, la dueña del hotel es amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Recomendamos el lugar, es imponente y una buena experiencia para conocer más la cultura griega Ha sido complicado llegar al lugar, el acceso no es tan sencillo.
