Eleni, the host, is very gracious and gives you a warm welcome.
Very hard beds and pillows. Tiny, difficult bathroom, dark room, could smell the smoke from upstairs and for people with mobility issues...too far from the town centre.
We were met at the Ferry by Eleni which was most helpful, and then dropped off there when we left. The apartment was excellent, with its own little balcony. The area we had breakfast in the beautiful garden was very nice, as was the breakfast. A very nice place to stay.
NO PORT TRANSFERS When we booked this venue, it was partly due to the complimentary transfers to and from the port which were offered. We emailed our ferry details and arrival time through in advance, then waited for over half an hour in the blistering heat for our transfer but no-one turned up. We had to make our own way to the property and on enquiring whether Eleni had received our email, she flippantly replied "Sorry lady, no transfers in August, too busy." If you don't offer a service, then it's false advertising to say you do. And at the very least, you should respond to emails to let guests know this in advance. There was no genuine apology and no effort to make amends for the inconvenience. HOSTEL-STYLE ACCOMMODATION Very basic accommodation. My husband & I booked this room based on the rave reviews it has received, however the room was more like a hostel dorm: three single beds (two pushed together, the third a bare mattress) with two thin pillows and one stiff sheet between us which didn't even cover both beds. Bathroom very old and basic with mismatched 70's style floral shower curtain and toilet seat - NOTHING like the photos on the website. Handheld shower (not wall-mounted) in small bath made showering extremely tricky. COLD SHOWERS We got up a bit later on our last day and all the hot water had been used so we had to take an ice cold shower.
We appreciated Eleni's warm, personal attention, including help with car rental problems. We found the location to be very convenient and the grounds and rooms were immaculate. The courtyard was inviting, beautiful and relaxing.
Very pretty place and lovely owner. Very close to beach although a little further from town centre
Wifi a bit hit and miss The budget room is fairly small, but ok for a couple of nights
The friendly welcoming was a bonus to the superb accommodation...It was spotlessly cleaned every day.The room facilities were excellent... I would stay here again
Family run gorgouse hotel
- Eleni and her husband were super nice and friendly. They helped us with many stuff and also offered a ride to the port. - The room was very clean with A/C and big screen TV. - Location is almost perfect. Very close to the beach, port and the restaurants. - There was no breakfast time. Eleni prepared the breakfast whenever we want.
- Wi-fi connection was not stable and fairly slow. - Breakfast was a bit weak. It doesn't really worth what you're paying.
Very clean with a great shower
Ferry pick up ? Didn't happen for us despite requesting on booking. We were not given the courtesy of a reply and so assumed, given the advice on Elinis website that we would be collected. Nor were we offered a drop off! Maybe the service is not offered for one night stays, if so why not just be upfront and say so
Breakfast, bed, shower
Size of rooms, breakfast, owner's availability to assist with planning of activities.
Eleni is a wonderfuly warm person that was glad to help, on any matter, big or small. The rooms are extremley clean, beauriful & well equipped. Also the location is supreme! Would defenetly return and highly recommend eleni's rooms!!! Afcharisto eleni :)
We accidentally booked an additional night that we didn't need. We contacted Elini Rooms directly and they said we would need to deal with bookings.com - emailed bookings.com and they said they needed confirmation for the owners before they could refund. Needless to say, all this was nothing more than finger pointing and we did not have the additional night refunded.
- Location - excellent, just 5 mins to the beach and main restaurants (by the way, Xelophonia was our favourite :-) and within a walking distance from the ferry terminal - Very kind and helpful owners - Eleni and Gianni who make you feel really home (we really loved the garden!) - Cosy and clean rooms, so typical for the local (Cycladic) architecture
No remarks at all
nice, clean place to stay with garden, transfer from harbour and back is offered, eleni has quiet a quick and busy special way of acting with you - but helpful in her way; free citybus very close to the place, beach nearby but next to the busy road, lot's of restaurants - fine for a short stay
Amazing place to stay, right across the beach, very beautiful traditional house, equipped with everything one needs, and for a very fair amount of money! I highly recommend it. Eleni and her husband and son are very hospitable and nice too!
Our stay in Eleni Rooms was wonderful: good room, nice homecooked breakfast, very pleasant and positive family! We also got a lot of information about Paros (restaurants, beaches, sightseeing, traditions etc). Thanks a lot to Eleni!
The location was great! The rooms were very big and very clean. We would definitely stay again.
It was like staying with a Greek family - nothing was too much trouble - Eleni even collected us from the ferry terminal and also took us back - both trips free of charge!
Nothing, - it was all good - including the home-made marmalade!
Eleni was absolutely wonderful. You are warmly welcomed and treated like one of the family. The location is fantastic. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. Lots of great restaurants and cafés nearby. Eleni's yoghurt and honey at breakfast is to die for. I've never tasted better anywhere in the world. It's my new favourite food. The courtyard garden where you can relax is a profusion of flowers and herbs. Just wonderful. I'd love to go back to Paros and would only stay there. I'll be recommending it to all my friends.
The tv in our room wasn't the best but we weren't there to watch tv so if wasn't a problem for us. There are other rooms that have more modern TV's. This is a very minor thing .
Everything! Eleni and her family were generous, friendly and helpful. We were so touched to be invited to the christening of Eleni's granddaughter in the old Christian temple in Paros. Our stay at Eleni Rooms was very special.
There was nothing not to like.
Nice courtyard with a constant sound of a waterfall. Hair dryer in room. Eleni was very helpful. No traffic noise. Good shower.
No negatives for us.
Eleni rooms is comfortable and leisure. The staffs basicly a whole family are very nice. The room is big and clean. And it's not far from the ferries port.
We loved Eleni Rooms! We arrived around 10:30pm off the ferry and were greeted by Eleni who was so sweet. Our room was perfect, with a view to Eleni's beautiful garden, close to the beach and restaurants, excellent breakfast with homemade grape marmalade... Delicious! Eleni and her family made our experience wonderful. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Parikia.
Very helpful hosts who picked me up and returned me to the port. Room and shower/bathroom were spotlessly clean. Bed extremely comfortable and bathrobe provided which was a lovey bonus. My room - 26 - on first floor had spacious balcony overlooking road as well as sitting area facing into courtyard. Family-run business where everyone is involved; extremely friendly, welcoming and would recommend it highly as an excellent B&B option within easy walking of Parikia centre or of beaches. Straightforward walk across to Krios/Marcello beaches which were lovely; local Livadia beach just metres from the accommodation. Thank you Eleni and family for a great week.
Breakfast was simple with lovely fresh bread (which I enjoyed), butter, jam, and fruit juice, nescafe. I would have liked to have the option of real coffee and fresh orange juice, yoghurt for breakfast - at an additional cost. Perhaps this was an option but it wasn't offered or made clear. Everything else just as I would have wanted.
