We were extremely disappointed with this place and its management, including the way we were mistreated as customers and ripped off.
We had booked a 40sqm apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a big balcony at €65 per night for 3 nights. When we arrived, it turned out that the owner (Maria), who was on a first impression very nice and welcoming, had promised the room we booked to the current occupants who wanted to stay longer.
Instead of being straightforward about that, Maria started asking us about our room preferences in terms of number of beds, balcony size, kitchen, etc., mentioning only after a while that the place we had booked was actually promised to the other couple. However she was confident that she had a very nice room for us. Feeling reassured by her attitude, we left our luggages with her and went out, while the room was being cleaned.
When we came back, another person took us to the room - which was nothing like the one we had booked. It was about 12sqm, with a heavy smell of mould, a very small balcony, noisy and stinky aircon, wifi we weren't able to connect to, a small cooking space and a tiny bathroom with a leaking shower. The rate of that room was €40 per night on booking.com.
We explained to Maria that the room was very different to what we had booked and she said she would give us free breakfast. This would have compensated us with €5 per person, meaning effectively we'd be paying €55 for a room which was worth €40. After some attempts at negotiation, we left it at that for the time being, as it was already very late and we had to have dinner.
We had a very uncomfortable night in the room as the beds were too hard and the room was hot because we couldn't use the aircon as it smelt bad and blew directly on the bed.
On the next morning we explained to Maria that we had decided to leave as the room was not what we had booked and not suitable to our needs.
