Elounda Akti Olous  

Small clean basic hotel in a lovely spot on the sea front. Nice rooftop pool, sunbathing area and Sky bar. The hotel restaurant opposite the front of the hotel is built out into the edge of the sea giving a delightful dining experience. Breakfast is basic but adequate, and the coffee machine could be better. Pleasant helpful staff. Hotel is well placed for access to numerous Taverna's, and a pleasant 10 minute stroll into the Town. Easy access to local buses for Agios Nikolaos which is a large town, and Plaka, which is a delightful small village with lovely artisan shops, and well worth a visit. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, and would certainly use the Akti Olous again.

After reading some of the reviews, I was wondering whether this was the same hotel!! The staff were lovely, the position of the hotel was great and for a Greek hotel the standard of the hotel was very good!! Would recommend it.

We appeared to get an upgrade from a side view balcony to the largest sea view balcony in the hotel (fabulous)we had sun loungers and also very comfy bucket seats and a small table.The hotel had its own small beach with sun loungers ideal for safe swimming.Very comfy beds but only one thin pillow each.

The over bath shower had very poor pressure and no curtain causing the floor and toilet roll geting soaked.This made gettng out of the bath, access to the toilet and the washbasin extremly dangerous as the floor became very slippy.There was a continuous awful smell we thought cominfirst availableg from the drains.The storage space was very limited with only one small drawer each in the bedside cabinets.There was a dressing table with mirror and chair but a concrete pillar prevented use of the chair.The breakfast was luke warm even at 7 30 when available.No drink facilities in the room. The appartment below's airconditioning unit was on our balcony which came on automatically when the patio door was closed.We wanted to leave our door open at night rather than the airconditioning but couldnt because of the noise.We got the room at a reduced rate but wouldnt have been happy if we had paid the correct rate for the room we had even with the fabulous balcony

Friendly staff , very good service and a great location

Location was excellent, on water edge and just a few hundred meters from harbour / town. Our room (201) had excellent view across the bay towards Spinalonga (do visit - best to go from Plaka). A short walk in opposite direction from town takes you across the causeway - lovely views and old windmills. Very safe bathing as bay is sheltered and water shallow for some distance. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly / helpful. Room was good but bathroom(only a shower) was a bit small. Good value.

Breakfast was usual buffet style, not too inspiring and ambience of dining area could be inproved and bar at front obscured view although could eat at tables across road on waters edge. Essential Air Conditioning charged at 6 Euros / day.

Cockroaches! Not very modern décor. Not great value for money.

θα προτιμουσαμε πιο πλουσιο πρωινο για ξενοδοχειο της κατηγοριας του.καποια αντικειμενα χρειαζονται ανακαινιση.

Sua localização é excelente, o lugar é lindo. Esta praia de Elounda é muito procurada e os hoteis muito caros. Este hotel é simples mas excelente e o preço bem razoável. O restaurante é dentro do mar, onde tambem pode ser o café da manhã. A comida é muito boa, recomendo.

Usando o Google maps tivemos um pouco de dificuldade de encontrar o endereço, não recomendo chegar a noite. A praia é linda mas não é muito boa para banho (pedras) tem outras proximas melhores.

Hôtel très bien situé géographiquement avec un très bon restaurant qui donne directement sur la mer.

Le petit déjeuner laisse à désirer (jus d'orange inbuvable !) et la salle de bain est un peu exigue.

La ubicación, está al lado del mar y te puedes mover a pie. Y la terraza de la habitación.

El desayuno era de una calidad ínfima. La ducha era muy incómoda, se salía todo el agua y no te podía ni mover.

χωρις να το θεωρω πολυ σημαντικο αλλα ισως θα ηταν καλο το μπαρ στην πισινα να ανοιγε πιο νωρις

πολύ όμορφο ξενοδοχείο. καθαρό και πολύ ευχάριστη η διακοσμηση στα δωμάτια. θέα στη θάλασσα και τη σπιναλόγκα. το προσωπικό επίσης ειναι πολύ εξηπηρετικό.

το πρωινό ήταν λίγο φτωχό και πολύ αγγλικό. επίσης κάποια δωμάτια δεν αερίζονταν καλά λόγω της φοράς του μπαλκονιού αλλά ευτυχώς είχε air condition οπότε δεν ήταν πρόβλημα.
