Location was off the busy noisy wharf area so it was quiet, but close enough we could easily walk there for tavernas, shopping and the ferries. Owner Harry Stassinopoulos and business partner Emily, were wonderful innkeepers -- Harry fixes a great breakfast and is most cordial and helpful with information about local activities. The room was sunny, airy and pleasant and had a little balcony we enjoyed. The price was very very reasonable and worth much more. --We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Samos is a wonderful, pretty and friendly island...should be on every island-hopper's list! Not really...the small shower was typical of many hotels in Europe, just takes a little getting used to. Certainly not a complaint about this hotel. |

The staff/owners of the Emily were lovely people and extremely helpful with everything; they made you feel at home, not like a hotel guest. They went out of their way to be of assistance. The room was spacious, clean and on a par with comparable hotels in all other respects. The elevator was not working during our stay, that is the only thing I can remember that was of any inconvenience whatsoever. |

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was in town but beyond the hubbub. We enjoyed drinking the good local wine on the terrace and the accommodations were comfortable. The roof garden mentioned in the description was not available. |

There are nice balconies off each room. The breakfast was good - we had to leave early and they accomodated us by having it ready. The owner recommended a great restaurant too. It is very convenient to the port - we walked there. The beds were a little hard and the bathroom was small - when taking a shower it is hard not to spray the entire bathroom. |

The Emily Hotel is in a quiet side steet, yet very close to the port and town. Kari and Emily are extremely friendly and helpful . By the end of your stay, you feel like you are leaving family behind. Emily and Kari are very welcoming and Kari is more than willing to assist with his extensive knowledge of the islands and Athens (and he serves the best breakfast in Europe!) We didn't want to leave. Thanks for a great adventure in Samos at a reasonable price. |
