proximity to the sights of Athens the area was a bit iffy...but the hotel itself was very nice with a very nice rooftop bar/breakfast room with a balcony with view onto the Acropolis. |

The rooms are okay in size and clean the breakfast was very nice and the view from the top floor at night is very nice. The area at night is a bit seedy and the hotel did have a lot of young teenagers staying. |

The location is quite convenient, close to 2 metro stations. One can be reached directly through small street (easier to drag your luggages). The bath room is tight and difficult to keep dry. The street and neighbouring areas seem scary during the day but are a lot better at night. They turn to be busy nightlife area. |

Rooms were a good size. Internet was handy too. As we were spending a long time in Greece we ate at the nearby Red Indian Restaurant. It was excellent with a lovely internal courtyard setting away from the busy (and possibly unsafe) streets outside. Prefer showers that attach to the wall, but not a huge issue as there was plenty of pressue and hot water. |

Hotel staff was helpful and even packed me a sandwich since I was checking out in early am. The view of the Acropolis was great and 1 euro wine (small glass) in breakfast/bar room was great. Some of the area's surrounding hotel were sketchy. If you took the right out of the hotel and another right you have a 5 minute walk to the shopping and restaurant area close to the Plaka and the Acropolis. |

Close walking distance to local Taverna's and Monastiraki Square Horrible location just outside the Hotel, prostitutes within metres of the hotel, very run down local area although with a 5 minute walk you can get to nicer part. |

The hotel is situated in a very cultural part of Athens and is only ten minutes walk from the Acropolis. Although it is situated in a less desireable part of the city is it nonetheless a brilliant low cost hotel. The staff are very friendly and very helpful and they all speak english too.. The veiw from the Hotel bar (on the top floor) is amazing, got to be one of the best in Athens. We have visited Athens before and stayed in Hotel Evripides and we will be going again next year. I proposed to my Girlfriend this year in the Hotel bar overlooking the Acropolis...a truly romantic, though adventurous hotel! |

the hotel is very close to toursist attractions and has a nice view for acropolis (like most of the buildings) the hotel is in a very dodgy area with drug addicts. also strangly someone stolen my phone outside the hotel just after i showed it to the staff ( looking for an adaptor) . the breakfast is always this same and it does not seem to tasty anything greek ( just ham and cheese plus some fruits) the shower does not have doors so the water is everywhere after a shower. the remote for airconditionig work every second day once u pressed it 1000 times i think its better to pay 10 pounds more and stayed in a better safer hotel . i jsut wasted my time and money |

Great views of the Acropolis from the balcony. Great value for money. Good location for the metro and main sights. Although the location is very central and very handy for sightseeeing, the neighbourhood is not that nice at night and my wife says she would not have felt comfortable there on her own. |

Very reasonable. It is not too far from Athens one of main downtown, Monastiraki, but if you go for the first time, it is really difficult to find. The view of Acropolis from the hotel room is really beautiful and I really enjoyed dinner at the balcony of my room and outside breakfast at their restaurant (cafe) on the top floor. The room was a bit small but tidy and clean. Hotel staff is all kind. In the end, I recommend this hotel if you would like to save money. The bath tub was a bit too small. |

The location was quite good. You can see the Acropolis from the roof of the hotel. The hotel is walking distance to Plaka and to the Acropolis (about 20 minutes) and to the forums. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave before the dining room opened, so they packed us a breakfast to take with us. The room was very clean. There was no shower curtain in the shower, but this was not that big of a deal. The immediate area surrounding the hotel was not the nicest or the cleanest, but we were never hassled by anyone. |

Hotel is clean, modern and service is excellent. Rooms are spic and span. Tourists talk about the dodgy area in which the hotel is located, and it can be intimidating for single women in the evening. However, it is really NOT dangerous and if you walk left, left and then left again to get to Miaouli St. coming out of the hotel you avoid all the dodginess. |

nice hotel for price in a relatively convenient area. Close to food market and between Metro stops. Pretty good breakfast with nice terrace to eat on. As a single female, I would not feel comfortable walking there at night. Our tripple room was a little tight, just a double with a cot squeezed in. |

Situated next to the old town hall, this family-run hotel has a fine location in the historic centre of Athens, with most attractions within walking distance. |
Within walking distance to all the tourist attractions, you will find Carolina Hotel. The hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation with a free breakfast buffet. |
Located in one of Athens’ quietest and earliest neighbourhoods, this neoclassical building is just 10 metres from Patission Street, which leads straight to the centre of Athens. |
Boasting magnificent rooftop views of the Acropolis, Cecil Hotel is excellently located in the centre of Athens, very close to all places of interest and provides free wireless internet access. |
